Yeah, while Nillien is a bit predictable in her tactics, she hasn't exactly been trained it tactics give she had to train herself. She treats her varied abilities with her spiritual powers much in the same way a caveman would treat a computer: something large to hit things with. So while she may need those powers when she gets into a fight with more poweful creatures, she currently just plows through without any really combat strategy.

Has the time required to regenerate energy been removed?

The encounter was over and there aren't any enemies nearby, so your energy would have regenerated by the time you found anything else anyway. Unless you want to attack the Fey or something.
