Argh, your slave works fine for me.
I'll start at 9:00 because the DayStart Event takes 60 Minutes.
I only get a message at 17:00.
Whelp, don't know what to say. It doesn't find any events for me.

Could you do the following?
Download and extract the attachment in a seperate folder.
Now start the demon slave.

Click on "Take Class".
Afterwards click on debug string, and send me the text that's written beneath the picture now.

Here's a slave I made of a Bleach character some people might be familiar with--Yadomaru Lisa (the porn reader girl). Credit goes to arlj11 for the general layout and to the artists of their respective images. Text was done by me.





It's only got like...3 endings thus far, but I'm working on adding a lot more to it and probably a map to be used with other Bleach characters that people might want to add in the future. I also have a folder of all the images used if anyone is interested.

New Version is OUT!
I mainly added layout/bugfixing stuff, but added some new stuff as well. (For example multiple tooltips for attributes like in SM3).

Also updated the slaves.^^

Try again with 1.1, I think I found the error.
If it still doesn't work than we have todo another round with debugging, sorry.^^"

    For example you have the stat "Looks". While it's 0-15, the text says "Ugly", 16-30 "Normal", 31-60 "Beauty" and 61-100 "Stunning".

Upgraded:
  • When you scale the game window, the textbox is also getting bigger now,

  • When your selecting pictures for an event, it'd be nice if there was a way to deselect all the photos, so it'd be quicker to just select one. I write the event to the picture, so I rarely use all of them for a random drop.

    In the Creator you now have a better selection for Attributes and Events.
    You will get a popup where ou can select the category first, and afterwards the Event/Attribute.
  • Redid the Followup Event calculation. Thanks ker!

Bugfixes:
  • Textblock Copy/Paste didn't work anymore.
    [*]For some culture settings the Game crashed when Eventa had TimeRequirements.
    This should be fixed, but because I can not test it, please report back, thank you!
    [*]Time Requirement Bug
    For some people time requirements could not be met.
  • In Choices the Game crashes if no event was selected. It should be checked in the creator.
  • If a Imagecategory had no Images and the Event was called InGame, the Game crashed.
  • Load didn't work correctly
    Attributes didn't get set anymore + if choices where present, they stayed after loading.

I can no longer select "Current Time" as a condition for firing the textblock.

It's not firing the event with a time of 9:00, and I have no way to set the event to 09:00 to attempt that.

I'm tempted to just abandon time specific events but it's something I wanted to do. Being able to only attend certain classes at certain times and similar things is something I wanted for an added touch of realism and challenge to planning one's day.

Oh, and while playing, the ordered list of attributes comes up in the order I sorted them in the attributes tab, in the combined tab with all, they continue to appear in a different order.

Just to give a heads up:

I'm currently adding a feature like in SM3, where you can preselect stuff before you do it.
That's a pretty big change, and time stuff will change too, so please wait till then, Incubus.^^

Thank you for making it. It's so much easier to make a slave in this than in SM3. The variables (like how to calculate money) take a little getting used to... but it's so easy to use. I'm trying to see if I can come up with 'Bad Ends' for the Slave Maker using your system. :3

Although I am coming up across a problem that I've seen other slaves use: I can't set the day to fire a text block. So if I want "You're halfway through your training" to show up on Day 50 for a character, there's no command (as far as I can see) to let me do that. I've noticed the Yuna slave can use this option, but I can't figure out how the creator did it.

About The "Days Left" Stuff:
It's a known bug in the current version.
Normally you would have Days Left/Current Time also to select from.

Current Status of preselecting events like in SM3:
Following works already:
- Preselecting the Events for the day
- Remembering your selections
- Maps now have a time they take
- Followups also take time
- If the Followups take time, and you don't have time left anymore for the last event, it is not taken.
-Cutscene Mode
The Player can't skip ahead.
If there are choices/followups etc., he has to take them.

Still todo:
- Random Events + Choices are "preselect ready".
- "Forecasting" of how Variables are gonna look like.
- I want 3 Tabs, like in SM3, not only 1 Selection
- Customizable Style
The Creator can say how this is gonna look like. (Colors and Stuff^^)
- Layout
Layout is not finished, I'll probably redo it 1 more time.

So I'll probably post a nightly build tomorrow if nothing goes wrong.

As promised here is the 1.2 Nightly 1.
However I need your help. (which I explain shortly).

The Nightly build includes the following:
  • Much less RAM usage.
    All Slaves stayed in the RAM till you closed the game.
  • Days left/Current Time was missing
  • If Map was resized and no Event selected, the creator crashed.
  • No more „flacking“ while resizing the game window.
  • Planning Mode for the Events, like in SM3
  • Cutscene System
    The player can't skip ahead.

Now the biggest change obviously the preselecting System.
I'll explain shortly what I did and what I did not do:

You now have to preselect the Events before you start the day.
I did not include the forecasting, for once because it is a pain in the ass.
And secondly it 1.spoilers, 2.with choices/random events pretty useless.

Therefore I settled for something else, like ker suggested I'm "recalculating" in real time.
Meaning that if you can use a event only once (shown in the debug event) the following happens:
You can select it as often as you want.
However when the it is actually completed, your pending event list gets refreshed, and the other ones get deleted.

What happens if a event takes longer as expected:
If a event takes longer, for ex. choices/followup or mapevents etc.
then the list is also refreshed.
Your current event gets longer, and you see the new times the stuff is happening.

If however, you don't have enough time left because of this, the last event is thrown out. (or as many as needed).

I didn't include multiple tabs like in SM3, where you can switch between, is something like this wanted?
It's not very complicated but didn't have enough time left today.^^"

I fucking hate the current layout.
Please suggest me something, I can't think of anything better.
I could put it into a subwindow like the attributes, but I'm not sure this will look better.
2:
Slaves like Yuna or Tessa don't work that neat anymore.
Mainly because some Events have a Time of 0 (or very small).
While this is totally fine with choices etc., this doesn't look good in the event selection, because it is so small, the player can't see it.^^""
This means before I can even think releasing the 1.2 I would need working versions of the slaves.

Yeah, the whole thing went nuts.

When I'm a little more awake, I'll have a poke at it properly.

I will note this, when an event is selected that the game can't find an event to fire, it doesn't add it to the list, but when it goes to go through the day said event makes it into the list and and errors, causing the game to lock up (unlike previous versions where one could simply pick an alternate event, it causes the game to be stuck on an error message.)

Well, keeping in mind I haven't been able to play with it much until now, the oddest thing I've found is that I can't actually load any previous slaves from the earlier versions. I figured that just has to do with some incompatibility with the time system you implemented. The bug where you can choose the variable for 'Days Left' has been fixed, which made me giddy.

I'll poke around at it some more when I get home from work today.

I know for the Yuna I'm adding/removing variables and events constantly between builds, so a save from an ealier version probably won't match up with any current version. Downside to playing a game where both the engine and the content is being developed at the same time.
