Amestris - Central City

Re: Amestris - Central City

Miranda hrrm'd again, "I think we should at least send out someone to scope it out first. Do a little recon. We can't just jump in all at once."

(Gorram people deleting posts and changing things!)

Re: Amestris - Central City

"Hrm, I'm not much of a fighter. Even if I've been training under Mustang healing is specialty. Though I'd need to grab a few things before we set off. And I think sticking together would be a better alternative." Max hadn't saluted when Mustang had arrived but he did stand up. Now though he was slouched over a chair.

Re: Amestris - Central City

"I support the idea of patrolling in pairs... However, we should select the hour at which we gather and place at which we'll do so." Jack crossed his arms again. He recalled Mustang's manners and sighed. 'Damn bastard, dumping this on us...'

"Oh, and I'd suggest that we choose people with different abilities for each team."

Re: Amestris - Central City

James shrugs at the comments. "If there is something hostile causing this, and it's that far in...It could very likely detect even a single person. If it's just some nut, or a group even, messing with things, then more people means faster reaction, even if they scatter."

Re: Amestris - Central City

Jack's trademark sarcastic half-smile returned to his face as Cynder looked at James. "So, should we assume it's someone sane, or just a nut? Remember, we're talking about a summer snowstorm here."

Re: Amestris - Central City

Miranda cocked her head to the side, "Alright then. We go as a group, and scope out this center?" She shivered, "I hate snow."

Re: Amestris - Central City

I'd vote that, if we do pairs, we find out how many people here can actually fight. He just said he can't, Sen says, pointing at max, And the only Alchemy types I'm skilled with are plants and healing. We may be forced to use larger groups out of neccessity.

Re: Amestris - Central City

"Transmutation and Fire." Jack looked at Sen. "I'm a close combat type, generally. Good only with small firearms, and at really short range... I have horrible aim."

Re: Amestris - Central City

"I grew up with twin brothers who were ten years older than me." she grinned wryly, "If I couldn't fight, I don't think I would have survived to adulthood." she chuckled. "Here's hoping my talent with water is going to be extremely helpful today... I don't think my plants will be useful in this cold."

Re: Amestris - Central City

"Transmutation and Water." Harrison speaks for the first time. "I can fight, but it's not what I'm best at."

Re: Amestris - Central City

"Fire and healing," Max says, adding his talents to the pile. "Though in this weather I doubt my fire will do much, the snow'll soak my gloves and any cards I pull out."

Re: Amestris - Central City

James shrugged. "Transmutation and Electricity for me. And I know how to handle myself around weapons. Won't try to claim any real skill, though."

Re: Amestris - Central City

"If we're all done here discussing our abilities I'm ready to whenever, I'll just need to grab a few things though." Max gets up to leave, though waits just in case anyone else had anything to add.

Re: Amestris - Central City

Jack nodded. "If we split up, we should make sure that each team has a fighter and someone to support him." Cynder counted the alchemists. "I think we may manage to come up with a good combination."

Re: Amestris - Central City

"I'll be fine with whatever." she said with a small small, "I don't really know any of you that well, so it'll be nice to finally make a connection."

Re: Amestris - Central City

The discussion was interrupted by the sound of a loud alarm.

James listened for a bit, thinking. Then his face paled slightly. "That's coming from the Command Building!"

He turned to the others. "It looks like the decision was just made for us. We have to respond. The Colonel said we were the only alchemists in the area."

Re: Amestris - Central City

Miranda reacted swiftly, grabbing her coat and her umbrella. She was muttering under her breath angrily as she strode toward the door.

Re: Amestris - Central City

Jack's face went grim. "Damn it!" He had his gloves, writing utensils and empty cards with him, however he didn't have any weapon. "I'll go grab something to fight with, ok?" Cynder stormed out to his room. He had some standard weapons here, a small knife and a revolver. He grabbed both, not bothering to look for extra ammo - he wouldn't find it in the mess anyway. Six bullets were all he had - enough to kill anything that moves, Jack thought. He returned to his team, preparing to leave.

((Well, we are soldiers, right?))

Re: Amestris - Central City

Well, that didn't take long. You think the colonel just went back in order to hit the alarm? Sen says as she gets up and closes up her greatcoat.

Re: Amestris - Central City

"Oh crap," Max muttered before legging it upstairs after Jack. He bursts into his room and randomly throws stuff out of his way before finding his first aid kit. Next to it was another item he was looking for; several small capsules filled with a black powder. Picking his kit and capsules up Max then bolted back downstairs ready to join the others.
