Ai and Mary (64 and Kakka)

Re: Ai and Mary (64 and Kakka)

Mary can't seem to find the keys necessary, but suddenly she feels as if she might be able to cut the chains off the shackles with magic if she touches them. The shackles will remain, but it's better than leaving her there for the slavers.

Re: Ai and Mary (64 and Kakka)

Discarding the keys, by giving them to Ai, Mary goes over and tries to cut the chains with Magic. If they kept the keys, they could just remove the shackles later, after they were safe.

"Hold onto those keys Ai, I'm going to try something..."

Re: Ai and Mary (64 and Kakka)

"Sure.." Ai replies, taking the key pile pushed on her and continuing to look at whatever Mary is planning, keeping on guard in case something happens

Re: Ai and Mary (64 and Kakka)

Mary touches the chains, and they instantly begin to rust. Soon they had rusted to nothingness. One by one she frees the girl of her chains, and the young woman runs to pick up the man's sword, saying thanks, we have to get out of here! as she ran out the door. As this happened Mary and Ai heard the metal door swing open with a creak...

Spell Acquired
Rust
Any non-magical metal can be rusted away. Costs 1 MP if used in battle.

Re: Ai and Mary (64 and Kakka)

"Hold up, wait for us, we're not out of the woods yet...so to speak." Mary says, chasing after the girl, hoping they can find a safe spot to talk and rest before too long.

Re: Ai and Mary (64 and Kakka)

Ai sprints after the two other girls, still holding onto the keys slapped into her hand

Re: Ai and Mary (64 and Kakka)

The two catch up to the girl just in time to see slavers begin to pour out of the room they had passed up entering; four of them, seemingly well-armed. The young girl ran off to the south without hesitation, screaming we have to run, they're too strong!

Re: Ai and Mary (64 and Kakka)

Mary nods. "Yeah, way to many of them, come on, let's go." she said, grabbing Ai and making sure she was with them, she didn't want to leave her friend behind. As they were running, Mary was trying to think of any possible spell that might be useful, possibly firing of a blast behind her if she could to distract and delay the perusers.

Re: Ai and Mary (64 and Kakka)

Somewhat surprised by Mary looking after her now, Ai keeps running with the other two, not too interested about fighting with four heavily-armed men

Re: Ai and Mary (64 and Kakka)

The three make it to a room with a large pool of water in the center. It looks like it's being heated somehow; the slavers must use this for a bath. There is a pathway to the east, and the girl begins to run towards it; they can tell the slavers are close behind them.

Re: Ai and Mary (64 and Kakka)

Mary tries to think desperately of some way to stop the slavers, running after the freed girl, Ai in tow. "W-we're not go-going to hit a dea-dead end, are you?" she gasps, not used to this much running.

Re: Ai and Mary (64 and Kakka)

"Go go, they're still onto us.." Ai urges the other as they run towards the eastern path, not sure about what it would lead to

Re: Ai and Mary (64 and Kakka)

The three run down an exceptionally wide hallway until they turn northward and reach a point where they must make a decision; up ahead they see a stairwell that leads upward, and to the west they see a door that is ajar. Upstairs is no good, we'll just get caught between the slavers and monsters, we have to try and get inside this room and barricade the door! the young woman shouted, darting inside.

Re: Ai and Mary (64 and Kakka)

Mary follows the girl as she leads them, hoping there isn't any sort of trap. "Good idea, let's hope we don't get trapped..."

Re: Ai and Mary (64 and Kakka)

Ai runs behind the other two, going by their lead
"Yes, let us go" she agrees to the girl's shouted suggestion

Re: Ai and Mary (64 and Kakka)

The three enter the room, and the young woman closes the door behind them, though there is no lock. They look around the room trying to find something to barricade the door, but all there is is a fairly large chest.

Re: Ai and Mary (64 and Kakka)

Mary takes a look at the chest. "I bet that's a mimic...but...maybe we could hide in it? They might assume we went upstairs instead of in here..."

Re: Ai and Mary (64 and Kakka)

"Better than doing nothing..." Ai says to her partner, going for the lid as soon as possible

Re: Ai and Mary (64 and Kakka)

A mimic...? How could you hide in a mimic...? the girl asks, almost protesting as they opened the lid. Mary's intuition was right; the chest was filled with slime. An attempt at a female form rose up from the slime, though really it wasn't a very good imitation; it seemed like it couldn't quite control its own shape. Humannnnnn it said, its voice strange and wavery. Or rather, its voices, as it had two different voices saying the same thing, though one was a few seconds after the other. A tentacle rose to the surface of the slime and seemed to peek out of the chest, and the mimic said youuuuu get in chesttttt? They could hear the slavers come to the door, one of them asking hey, did we leave this door closed?

Re: Ai and Mary (64 and Kakka)

Mary looks at Ai and the girl, feeling bad about doing this, she knows Ai will like it but isn't sure about the other girl. "I'm sorry, but this is the best plan!" she says as quietly as she can to avoid alerting the slavers as she grabs the other girls, jumping into the mimic.
