Re: Aegis Thousand Year War - DMM Online Game
It looks like AW Prince is not overwritten by Black Iris's skill*. This means I can have the Prince tank every physical opponent imaginable:
*It used to be that units within Iris's field all lose the defence buff from the Prince while her skill is active, so it used to be there was little point to having him deployed in combination with Black Iris.
There's 188 lines of dialogue split between the Emergency Mission and the Story Missions. So I have a lot of work ahead of myself. I'm probably going to have to remove the 'story' translations for Dragon Princess's Revival (I think I went a little overboard on those things, there's new stuff if you read them from a previous revival).
Finally, D&P (Dungeons & Princess) is ending its service on Dec 28th. Aside from Millennium War Aegis, this was the only browser social game I could tolerate from the ones I tried years ago (I thought Tentacle Tactics 'looked' good, but one of the battles became an unending stalemate that lasted for over 10 minutes, which made me quit even though they commissioned someone I know personally to do a couple characters for it). The producer for D&P, Hayato, consistently commissioned illustrators I liked, the interface and system were designed in a way that wasn't overly time-consuming or tedious, and spending mana stones (equivalent to SC) or points to roll the gold gacha always had a safety net; the only negative things were the Spirit Lodge, which is like 2nd barracks that you had to rent for a month, and the limited edition character for rank 200 players a couple weeks ago.
I think I'm going to refrain from investigating any other DMM social games unless Hayato has a follow-up to D&P that isn't horrible towards its players. Right now, I'm assessing my situation with my album, so I can post what I have in case anyone who played
(e.g. Keima) that game enough to have some maxed out gold gacha character I don't have to understand who I want to max evolve for the event scenes with my mirrors. Also debating whether to just grab the graphics, or grab everything including the scripts, voice, music, and flash files. No one has properly ripped that game, and just playing it normally for 2 years gave me around 70% of the characters...
In any case, the game did at least reach a conclusion with its story even though it was introducing characters with new kinds of skills it didn't really bother to give us time to take advantage of in dungeons difficult enough to require them.
The way things are going with the story in Millennium War Aegis, and the Prince awakening with new powers to halt the revival of Majin Leviathan makes me wonder if this game is going to end its service this year. Aegis did trump Kancolle for a short time period on the All-age side, but it's been lingering around 5th place lately. The idea of having my time or progress deleted someday soon makes me feel empty.
