Edit: Listen to Keiran, he's right, and if you are having trouble lowering the monster's hp use the mirror item to see its hp and you'll be able to lower it without killing it

For Fantasy Renkin ,
- To capture a monster u need to lower the mob hp to 20%.
- If u capture more than one mob in a single fight only the last captured mob counts.
- Boss mob are immune to capture.
- The skill (hand icon) 手加減攻擊 /手加減魔術 deal 1/10 of your damage , use it on a damaged mob to lower its hp to capturable state.
For Fantasy Renkin ,

What do I have to do after the maid bust me out of the thief cave and bring me to the second town?
After talking with anyone I have no idea what else to do. All the new areas are closed off.

just completed it and got newgame+
you get a "vibrator" item, all it seems to do though is make your follower skip every turn,
does anyone know if it does anything else (besides the scene when you use it first)

I tried it on a couple ACE saves and no dice. There's already a save game editor for RMK games currently that supports all formats prior to ACE, but if you can get this running that'd be awesome.

Thanks, I've heard of it but didn't think it was an actual save game editor.
I wonder what kind of libraries were used to load the thing, since it's pretty fast. Maybe it doesn't use ruby but instead reversed the format manually.
Looked at it, and it seems to have loaded a couple save files (not 100% correctly, but at least the switches seem fine) I mean it seems to assume every game I load is this "Aveyond" and the equip names are based on something else, but it loaded the files at least lol (which is better than mine)
Now I'm wondering whether it does the following (maybe there are some advanced uses that I didn't see)
1: allows you to add any items/equips to your inventory that has been defined in the database
2: modify equip attributes, names, etc
3: change actor names, equips and all, directly based on database definitions

I'm not sure to be honest, I think it just loads values from the default RTPs, hence why random item names occur. To change item values you would have to change the RGSS file itself. They can be decrypted using this program (VX and below, not ACE).
Afterwards, you would have to then delete the RGSS and take the editted folders and form them into a new RGSS file, which can already be done obviously by using RPGmaker. It sounds like a giant pain in the ass to be honest, if cheating is all you want, maxing out attack and defense should be enough, and items can be duplicated with the editor I linked you.

From tutorial map:
the usual arrow keys to move (you can move diagonally)
You have 'dash mode', which is Shift key. You move a lot faster but your controls become instead left right to turn, up down for something else which I can't tell, may require different equipment)
W key to use 'scan' mode, this make hidden object appears as well as showing where nearby enemies are with a dot in that direction, increasing in size as you get closer.
Equipments seem to take ideas from Armored Core genre, where each slot mainly deal with a role:
Weapon slots let you use new attacks, though they don't seem to increase your base attack power.
Top/Bottom increase your HP (with the initial equipment, it went from 2k to 15k)
There's booster, probably change how your dash mode work.
Core, which increase your energy regen (equipping other slots drain from regen)
Belt item I didn't get any in the tutorial so no idea.
Combat is one of those real time-ish combat like FF7, so try not to waste time by reading skills during the fight.
Once you're done with that, you get dropped into the world, with 3 maps available. Opening, Tutorial, and the first area.
X menu is mainly for things like exit mission or to check on your gear.
Instead shops/save function are at the bottom of your screen as icons.
Left is equipment page, then crafting, then partner (haven't tried this yet), save, gallery, and last one is notes/tips.
If the author's H content from the previous game come back...well, I feel like I'd be laughing too hard to fap.

just did a bit of a archive dive,
am trying to get
it looks great, but when i try and start a new game it crashes right away, i am in japanese local, (tried applocal too) i downloaded it in japanese local, i unpacked it in jap and im still in jap.
i honestly have no idea what else i should be doing?
