Re: Last Post Wins

It's LFTR or Liquid Fluoride Thorium Reactor.
LFTRs or "Liquid Fluoride Thorium Reactors," are a type of molten salt nuclear reactor that operates under standard atmospheric pressure and obtains fuel by exposing fertile Thorium to neutrons in order to transmute Thorium into Uranium-233 which is fissile. If you want a good primer of the basic advantages, disadvantages, and concepts, the wikipedia pages do a passable job. If you want a pro-viewpoint, the Thorium Energy Alliance is a non-government, non-profit group that advocates the development and use of Thorium as a fuel. If you want a historical perspective, read about Seaborg and his associates discovery the U-233 isotope and the Oakridge National Laboratory Molten Salt Experiment. If you want a viewpoint against, multiple articles exist with the most prominent being Greenpeace.

What kind of tendencies do you have when you doge? Do you realize it when you are doge?

Re: Last Post Wins

Maybe we could raise some capital to form a committee to perform an inquiry if there is a point to it.

Re: Last Post Wins

Maybe we should get the whole Forum involved, it will be a great community building exercise.
