Left to exercise and to think, Christine finds that the hard work sets her mind mostly at ease. She knew this would be a little strange. The fact that she'd had to apply for this as well as her job as well as the contract that came with it should have warned her of that miles ahead of time.

But for now it was just exercise and a need to sleep before another round of EGG. And well, she had Chinta to get back at. If her heart was still in THAT that was something to think about.

Running through her exercise routine until she's just about ready to collapse, she then just takes a quick shower and a bit to eat before collapsing on the bed and passing out.

Her sleep was untroubled and easy, and came with the combined exhaustion of her body from her workout and her mind from the Pod. But she woke, as always to the sound of a gentle alarm that told her Christine in her game was about to wake up, and a look at the clock told her she'd been out cold for a good 11 hours. Which was about right if she thought about.

Then it was back to the pod room in whatever she wanted to wear, if she wanted to wear anything. And to Terra, who was sitting at her desk again yawning like she'd just woken up as well.

Morning~! she yawned, stretching.

Just throwing something on for the sake of decency, Christine grabs a quick breakfast before heading into the pod. "Morning Terra."

Once in the pod, the same old song and dance continued until Christine woke on the cave floor, cuddled in tight against Chinta's chest, the man waking with her with an affectionate nuzzle and a kiss on her cheek.

"Morning, sunshine. Sleep well?" Christine just lays there for a bit longer before extracting herself from Chinta's embrace and giving herself a wash and putting her clothes back on. "Anything specific you'd like for breakfast?"

Breakfast? Hrm. actually yes, now that I'm back on this side of the wall. Blueberries. They don't grow over in the Wilding. Talk about disappointing. he said, stretching as he stood and washed himself, before turning into the small multiplumed bird she'd seen him first as.

*We each do our own meals? I'm not much of a carnivore.* he whistled to her, or tweeted, chirped? it was weird, but she could understand it so that was something.

"Fine by me."Christine replies before following Chinta's example, and shifting into her own animal form. Jogging out of the cave, she starts listening and sniffing for signs of a suitable prey.

Christine, once more in the woods, had no trouble finding pheasant, rabbit, while Chinta stayed nearby, but kept to his berries, which he seemed quite good at finding. He soon disappeared into a bush and parted from her to eat himself while she hunted.

Christine decides on a pheasant and carefully makes her way through the forest, trying to stay downwind from her prey and preparing to pounce.

Just before she was about to pounce, a small explosion in the middle of the fucking air went off not 10 feet from her, obliterating the pheasant, as well as leaving her dazed as a tear in the fabric of the universe opened, annnnd.

And woman fell through. Not so much gracefully strode, or flew, but literally tumbled out onto her face, and then her ass, and then her face again, a long set of leathery wings flailing around uselessly along with a long spaded tail and bright pink hair, a bunch of supplies flying out with her, including several coils of rope that glowed slightly from the trip, a Turban of all things, and a Scythe that had a bag strapped to it like a fucking hobo stick.

The last object came flying out so quickly however, that it almost took the woman's head off, who eeped! and ducked as the blade smashed into the tree, the woman flailing as she shouted at the top of her lungs in a language Christine certainly didn't recognize, but it made the rent in space time close, before she dusted herself off, and turned her nose up and sniffed.

She was dressed in a collection of leather straps, only barely covering her modesty, as well as coiling down her arms and legs, into open toed boots and gloves, which showed off an impressive set of short claws, while she stretched her wings and checked to make sure she hadn't knocked off a horn, a pair of which were curling from her temples back around her head like a crown. Holy crap I really need to work on the landings. Fuck. she muttered, looking around, before spotting Christine. Hi! she said immediately, waving and smiling. And much like Ginny? This woman's body was Obnoxiously attractive.

Christine does not stay to watch, nor does her current form allow her to stop and think, she just takes off as soon as the explosion happens, disappearing into a bush about 20 meters away with supernatural speed and only THEN turning to observe what's going on.

Yeah You! Kitsune! Hi! the woman called out, waving again and smiling. Cmon... I'm harmless.. ish. Promise! Mind telling me just... what world I wound up in? Please? the demon said, leaning over but not approaching Christine. Since Christine had bolted from her as soon as she'd shown up.

O... well that's a bit shit. I'm Helena. You are? she asked simply, though suddenly they weren't alone and a crossbow bolt hit her square in the shoulder, smacking her facedown into the dirt with a startled cry.

She didn't stay down long though, her face twisted with rage. Kitsune? You can wait.... she said, reaching up to tear the bolt from her shoulder with a harsh grunt, before reaching for her scythe and tearing off into the brush after whoever had just shot her. Likely a hunter Christine was already familiar with. And the scream that followed was both full of true fear, and suddenly silenced, along with the wet sound of cleanly cut flesh. If she wanted to run, now was probably the best chance.

Christine seriously considers running away before realizing that she's already moving towards the sound, propelled by her curiousity. She doesn't get too close, however, just close enough to watch.

The sight that greeted Christine's eyes was to her immense and confusing relief... Not, her hunter frenemy, who she admittedly felt some kind of interest in. Likely as food. Or maybe a pet. She could use a pet. No, Helena was standing over the now split in twain body of a man in black and crimson steel ring lined robes, and she was spitting on the body as she wiped off her blade.

Right. It's one of Those places. Ok, you can't tell me exactly where you are. Mind coming close enough for me to touch? I wont hurt you, I swear it on the memory of Strike. Might not mean much to you, but it's everything to me. she said, turning and letting her face show less anger, and more curiosity.

This the dominant church around her by the way? she asked, continuing to speak while she gestured down at the two pieces of what used to be a man.

Christine considers her options for a moment, before finally deciding to come closer. The enemy of her enemy... "For now. I'm working on that." She also takes a closer look at the corpse, not that there was much she was likely to learn from it.

Helena very gently reached out a hand, and stroked Christine's cheek, before reaching down, and touching the body, and snorting. That's why... You're an EGG Tester! Holy balls! It worked! Helena cried loudly, before dancing around, and then freezing.

Shit.... It worked. Fuck. she muttered, looking suddenly like she'd made a terrible mistake somewhere and was waiting for the axe to drop.

Hey! Kitsune! We got about 30 seconds to decide, so decide. Which reality do you like more. The old one where you got into a pod. Or this one. Quick! she said, grabbing her shoulders.

Christine freezes for several precious seconds as her mind races around, finding most ridiculous tangents and not really wanting to trust the demon. Then something clicks in her mind. "How long will it take for me to learn to travel from world to world if I stay?"
