Re: Monster Girl Quest: Paradox

the key to death is the focus headband that prevents you from getting killed when HP is above 30%
also the honey pot is also a key figure since the honey pot prevents instant death and being a summoner the lvl10 skill pheonix can do damage as well as reviving every party member

so 2 healing + 2 attacker, stock up tons of items and wish you good luck
I've had a couple of goes doing this It not to different from what I was doing cause Luka is a summoner at the minute so got to people 2 with the phoenix move now gone well couple of times (well done 45000 dmg good amount of times not sure how much HP she has) but still failing I found the focus headband in my item but I only have one does anyone know where you find/buy them had a look around but couldn't find it

BTW if anyone else is doing this if you use the reflect move like with Nanabi you can reflect her fire AOE and do 20000 a time

Thank you for sharing your save! But the link that you posted this not opening ... Would you like to post a new or send me a PM ?
Thank's!
Ill reload the file after Ive finished I did try to just but some reason I cant get on mega in general at the minute its begin weird

progress report

So I just got to San Ilia Luka has reached level 14 and he just mastered the Master Thief class(since he's always in the party I though might as well get him the unlock skills so I don't all ways have to worry about having them) so what class should I train him in next i was thinking Magic Swordsman or Three-star Chef (as a joke I trained him as Chef in memory of all the cooking Alice forced him to do :D)
Nuruko is my first non-human to master a race since she was currently training in the Maid class I made her a Maid Scylla.

other news I manage to trigger that glitch again when I lost to a mimic and wound up stuck in a wall right of the 7 tailed fox amusingly this let me open the chest against the wall I was stuck in before I fought her

by the way if you win the maid "bf" event she gives you a accessory that's like the hardjob wristband(I think that what it was called the one that gives you job xp) without the exp penalty
Lol, I really like the idea of making him a chef. By the way, could you please share that save with me, where you've just reached San Illia?

The Maid and Cooking jobs are exceedingly powerful. As is Merchant. Maid can destroy Insect and Plant types, and Cooking can buff about every kind of stat.

Re: Monster Girl Quest: Paradox

I decided to bite the bullet and play/read through this game knowing I will most likely receive a crappy cliff hanger towards the end.

The cliff hanger ended up being on the degree of MGQ前章 so not that bad. I also read through every side story/quest for each area.

I thought the story was really interesting in the beginning and loved every moment with Illias (Illias: Let us be off then. To Porno Town!). The jokes and Easter eggs were pretty good too. Take note that every area (not map) has special events with certain characters so if you're good enough in jap and can read into the lines then it's easy to choose the correct members. Always have Illias (or Alice), Sonia, Hirude, and Promestein(doesn't have to battle, only for story), then 3 others depending on the map. Gnome and Nuruko make a good couple :p (one that is silent, one that says nothing but "Kuu!". (ヌルヌル+娘 = ヌルコ; funny! Good job Sonia...)

The story went downhill towards the end though which is just too bad. It just became too weird when a certain character makes an appearance, with a strange appearance..... I am speaking about the very last few minutes, up until that point it was pretty good.

I made Luka and Illias a 魔法戦士+上位天使, Sonia a 聖党騎士 and Hirude a マキナマスター with changing her race to 魔導キメラ. I also maxed the related classes so they had full access to all the related skills. I hardly ever used the back up members and only chose the appropriate ones for the area to spice up the story (i.e. Chrome for the last map).

Honestly, the gameplay got in the way. I read MGQ for its story and characters, if I wanted to grind, deal with a volume of classes/skills/races, crafting, blahblahblahblahBAH, I would play Elder Scrolls IV or one of the thousand games out there that does these things. I had a feeling it would end up like this as soon as I saw RPGmaker, at which point I lost interest.

One of the best things I liked about MGQ were the decisive battles. No grinding, no endless repeats of the same battles with the same mobs again and again again and again again and again again and again again and again again and again again and again....... You rush into battle, it's with a new enemy, new strategy, new experience (no not that experience :p). With that said, yes I used cheat engine. Instead of battling 1000000 times I battled 2-3 and maxed things out. I equipped 退魔の腕輪 to all 4 backup members and had a random encounter on a map.... Well..... Never. That accessory virtually brings it down to 0% if you equip 4. With that said, 召魔の腕輪 does the complete opposite when equipping 4, one step = random battle. You can buy both in Illias Port.

I didn't cheat and make my characters god, I only shortened 10000000 battles to 2-3. So a battle would give me exp/gold as if I battled 100 times :p. What's the point of grinding in this game? You don't get anything in the end.

I won't compare this with MGQ as a whole as we know that series becomes more epic as you progress through the episodes. Compared to MGQ前章 it's just not the same. MGQ was a first time experience for me and paradox is something extra. You read through it knowing what happened in MGQ, it's a side story.

I attached my save in case I decide to continue the series once it's finished in 4 years :p.

Re: Monster Girl Quest: Paradox

Is there anything specific I should pick when talking to the person in Enrika village? I know two of the options give you items, another one doesn't.

Just wondering if I would lose out on a job or recruit if I didn't pick a certain one.

Which person? The elf in Michaela's house? You should tell her that you're Luca, so that she tells you where Michaela went. Afterwards, she gives you the Enrikan shirt, a dagger, and an accessory.

So it doesn't really matter, just one of the two options that gives items. Thanks~

Obviously it's early days, but has anyone read anything that talks about Part 2? Wondering if it's 3 months, 6 months or a year+ away.

May I ask how you changed the XP values? I can't bear to grind so much either.

As soon as I can fix the errors popping up (Nomethod) on my game I'd need to do some serious grinding...

Nevermind!

And can you sequence break anything in this game? I went to Chrome's castle before the library in the castle. Hoping I haven't broken anything.

Re: Monster Girl Quest: Paradox

You shouldn't be able to but then it's a buggy game. i completed the crystal material quest and saved the accessory shop owner before visiting Witch Hunt Village or "Magisutea Village" and had no issues. It was just obvious that I should've finished with Lily before heading off to the crystal quest based on the lines.

For those wondering, Lily or Rushia don't die, their power just gets sealed and they go to jail (whoever you choose to beat). Lily wants to help the weak who are being oppressed by the strong by giving them the forbidden magic and Rushia wants to stop her from fear that it will spread chaos throughout the world. Adding in the forbidden magic and the feelings the oppressed have towards the strong, if they switch positions, it would be a catastrophe (just like witch hunt village). In the end Lily was trying to atone for massacring the men of the village by helping the weak in the world, no one is right or wrong, you choose (make sure Sara is in party for this map, doesn't have to fight).

NPCs also clearly tell you the correct sequence of areas that you should be visiting.

Tor hides the exp values from the status screen. You usually see a "total exp" on the status screen but in this case all you see is "until next level"

Assuming you know how to use cheat engine, all you do is first search for values between 0 - 5001 or whatever (make a good guess) and search for values increased by whatever you gain after battles. The key with RPGmaker games is that the value is hidden with the formula value*2+1. So if you have 500 gold then it would appear as 1001 on cheat engine. XP is divided for character lv and class/race.

If you gain 3 class exp after battle, that would translate to a value increased by 6.

i could not get gnome until i get sylph as well couldnot finish Sara's quest until finished priests. But Chrome, slugs etc i suppose its additional quests and you can finish them anytime you want, sort of like in mgq you not necessary need to go to harpy village etc.

Y'all talking about the game, and quests and I downloaded a full save and still have 0 Idea how to get to the fap material after like 20 minutes of fooling around in a language I can't understand lmao, is there a CG option or a re-fight option?

if you downloaded toro toro's there should be in menu a list of all enemies where you can watch its CG or rape scene as well all monsters should be in pocket castle.

If you go to the fourth option from the bottom then ether the third or the fourth one down from there should be the Characters list to show the scenes or CG. The fourth shows the standard GOR scenes where as the third shows unique favorabilty scenes for each character some of the characters here don't have CG on the third cause they don't have unique CG.

Not sure if the TT save has this as the save is technically still at the beginning of the game and hasn't fought the bosses yet but if you go to Realm of Hades which is is in the first towns castle on the second floor though the doors at the top there should be the bosses standing about if you want to re-fight them otherwise if its a standard enemy then you need to find them in the wild.

I'd like to point out that in the order you do some thing in was still optional in the original mgq the earliest(and one of the worse) example of this is that you can go clear the harpy and elf villages in part one before dealing with the bandits.

Odd, Chrome only has a short scene when requesting at the maou's tiny castle, but there's a lot more images in the directory when you extract the game files.

Are you supposed to do something to get additional scenes with her, like you do with Brunhilde?

Are you sure the Harpy monsters don't have cutins when they invite you to "rape" them? I haven't tried to see if they do, but yes, they do have images that don't show up in their request mode in the mansion.
