Alira effortlessly slipped behind the pillar. However, the skeleton was not to be detered. It stepped towards the pillar. With her keen senses, she managed to figure out which way the clattering of bones was coming from and kept the pillar between them. The skeleton didn't seem to be in a hurry but it wasn't giving up either. Something had to be done.

Damn that persistent bastard.... As Alira circled around the pillar, her eyes fell on the bridge, the crystals of which had flared briefly in response to the ethereal voice. Making up her mind, she kept the slow motion chase around the pillar going until she was facing the correct bridge. In a blur of motion, she rushed across the bridge, hoping that the pillar would prevent the skeleton from noticing her escape.

Alira attempts to escape across the bridge, and avoid combat with the skeleton by using her stealth. I'm not sure of the appropriate rolls for the situation - another Sneak roll?

Alira almost got away clean. The skeleton continued around the pillar as if she was still there. Then her foot struck a rock that hit one of the crystals, shattering it. The skeleton stopped in its motions, turned around, and watched Alira flee. Then it came after her. It was much faster when moving in a straight line, she noticed, but it still couldn't keep up with her. The room she entered looked like a dead end. It was only when she came inside that she saw stairs immediately to the right and left led up and down, respectively. The voice came again and the crystals all lit up. It seemed to be closer. Alira's eyes picked up on the fact that the crystals leading upstairs glowed first. Maybe they were closer to whatever it was? In any case, the skeleton would be upon her in mere seconds.

The elf quickly took in her surroundings, the sounds of her undead pursuer echoing ominously and ever more loudly through the archway behind her. Making another split second decision, Alira dashed toward the stairs leading up, hoping to find the source of the mysterious voice and loose the skeleton in the tight passageways.

Another Sneak roll, if appropriate, if not just a straight run up the stairs

With the skeleton in hot pursuit, Alira wound through tight passageways until she almost fall over a hole in the ground. When the crystals flickered to life, she saw she was in a room with a thin walkway to the other side. In the middle was a pedestal with a platinum bracer. She couldn't see the ground. If she fell, she would have enough time to go over each of her regrets before touching earth again. She heard the voice again, the crystals grew brighter, and the light caused the bracelet to sparkle.

Alira stopped short as the abyss opened up in front of her, a chilling breeze washing over her from the yawing hole. She could still hear the skeleton's unrelenting pursuit behind her. She'd hoped that she would be able to loose the undead monster in the tight passageways, but the thing seemed to have the nose of a bloodhound. Not that it has much of a nose to begin with... Alira looked at the room again, with its lone walkway, and tightened her hand on her sword hilt. If that thing didn't leave her alone soon, she would have to face it head on. Not the most appealing of propositions, but she was running out of options. Unless...

Alira's eyes flashed to the bracelet on the pedestal in the middle of the room. Carefully, she edged away from the wall and made her way across the narrow walkway, mindful of her balance. The elf carefully circled around the pedestal and placed herself on the other side, taking a moment to examine the bracelet, aware of the ever louder sounds coming from the tunnel she just left.

The bracer gleamed and in that moment, Alira felt her hands moving. Before she could resist, she had taken the bracer and snapped it onto her right forearm. A voice came from the bracer as it turned to obsidian. "Beware! I hath returned! Thou art now my thrall and will do as I command!" Oddly, Alira felt a tug at her mind but it was hardly what she'd call mind control. When the skeleton arrived, she felt the bracer warm. "Observe mine power. Winds, do as I command and shatter this wretched undead!" The wind did stir... but only enough to cause the skeleton to tumble into the abyss. It was barely a breeze. "Mine powers!? Have the years robbed me of so much!? Slave, how long has it been since the flood retreated from the city?"

Alira watched the skeleton tumble away into the darkness, her mind in chaos as the presence contained within the dark bracer tugged at her thoughts. It's last question hung in the air, unanswered as the elf fought to control her panic as the mental probing intensified. As its threats of control and power failed to materialize, Alira began to feel a little more confident about the situation. Damn it Alira, you couldn't be just a little more careful, could you? Now you've got a talking arm band stuck to your arm. Is it stuck? I should get it off if I can. Better talk to it before it decides to try something else. Maybe there is something on the pedestal that could help me...

Finally the thief found her voice, seeking refuge in flattery and bluffing that had so often worked on her more ambulatory conversation partners. "Oh great, uh... bracer...your powers are truly awesome!" Alira felt a bit foolish talking to her own arm, but she plunged on with her overblown praise, even as her eyes searched both the pedestal and the obsidian bracer for any clues to her condition. "I, uh, don't really know about the water situation. Perhaps if you tell me more about how you ended up on this, uh, glorious pedestal, I could be more helpful? And surely a powerful, uhm... artifact such as yourself has a great history!"

Nice surprise, I like it! I'm not sure if any rolls are appropriate for the conversation. I guess a perception roll for the examination of the bracer and the pedestal?

Alira seemed to have hit the right chord. "My name, thrall is, Astok the Silence of Despair. Before this city was even built, I roamed the land, destroying those who would rise against me. However, there was a sage who managed to entrap me in this artifact. His soul is what keeps the bindings strong, even after all these centuries. His descendants kept me away from anyone who could unleash me. They created a prison but they passed away and their prison fell into disrepair. I only required a fool to get near and now I will wreak havoc upon the world. I may not be able to escape but you will be my vessel. Now, we shall leave this pathetic wreck." She feels another weak command but she can ignore it.

Re: Seeker of the Lost (orcha) GMed by dragoon93041

Alira half-listened to the boasting of the entity in the bracer, Astok, catching the important bits while her eyes desperately searched the cursed armor piece and its former pedestal for any clues to how to get the damned thing off of her. Unfortunately, the pedestal lacked carvings or inscriptions of any kind, and the bracer itself was clamped tightly on her forearm. Alira sighed and tuned back in to Astok's speech. "...I will wreak havoc upon the world..." What did I get myself into here? "...you will be my vessel..." Not if I can help it. "Now, we shall leave this pathetic wreck."

With that, Alira once again felt the unsettling tug of Astok's will on her thoughts. She shuddered in disgust, but managed to control herself. Keep it together. No reason to let this maniac know how weak his hold on me is. No reason to stay here either. Addressing the bracer once more, Alira said "Of course, uh, great Astok! As you command!" Proud of that last bit of playacting, the elf turned around and carefully made her way along the narrow walkway, heading away from the tunnels she had already explored while being chased by the skeleton.

As she crept on, Alira's mind worked feverishly. Okay, you've got a cursed armband stuck on you. The thing inside it sounds pretty bad, and it would be better for everyone, including yourself, if it never saw the light of day. It's got some sort of mind control power, but you've fought it off so far. Can you keep doing it? Probably. Should you bet your life and sanity on that? Probably not. How can you use this thing? Can it help you down here? Maybe...

Hitting on an idea, Alira spoke to the malevolent entity once more. "Oh glorious Astok, I could use some hel..I would benefit from your vast wisdom. Do you know anything about the layout of these halls? I've lost my way, and don't know how to reach the surface."

Alira's footsteps would take her to a small room with no apparent exits. Looking closer, she saw that exit was actually a ladder carved into the wall that led up in a small passage. And I mean small. Alira was pretty sure she would fit but it would be a... snug. Astok wasn't exactly the font of wisdom she had hoped for. "Unfortunately, they sealed me above this cursed ruin and then brought me below. Information is difficult to glean in this form. When you shackled yourself to me, I found I was able to view my surrondings once again with clarity."

Alira sighed in frustration as her unwanted companion explained his lack of information. Then what good are you to me? I still need to find the artifact I came here for, and it would be much easier without you dragging me down... Damn it! Feeling her emotions overwhelming her again, Alira took a few deep breaths, telling herself to calm down. Steady now, what happened happened, and you can't change it. Focus on whats in front of you, the rest will sort itself out in time.

She sized up the vertical passage and the stone steps that lead up into the darkness. Well, I've made it through tight spots before... With a cat-like grace, the thief began her ascent, trusting in her experience and flexibility to get her through to the other side.

The climb was dark but short and uneventful. She found herself in a circular room with a large seal drawn on it. Parts of the seal had been worn away with time. "Ahhhh... that's how they held me. It is not of ill design but time has been my ally. And slave... might you be harboring doubts about your servitude? Do not worry, I keep my tools sharp and clean. Unless, of course, they attempt to defy mine will."

The room had... one, two, three... Alira counted 12 exits.

Alira looked around her, listening to Astok's voice, hesitating to make a decision. Twelve exits, but which one to take? And what about this seal? If it held him once, maybe it can do it again? Astok's tone changed, and she heard the implied threat in his words. Alira thought quickly, even as she closely examined the seal, looking for any clues that could help her control the insane bracer.

"Uh, no, of course not, Astok! It's true, I tried to resist your first commands, but I quickly realized that it was pointless! I can't fight back against you, I know that now." Alira exclaimed, hoping to buy herself enough time to get a good look at the seal.

The seal looks tattered. Years of wind blowing through empty hallways, bringing with it tiny fingers that gently scraped across the seal have gradually eroded it. There's no way to fix it without the proper tools and training. Enough of it was gone that she would have to make several guesses too. By running her fingers over it, Alira discovers it has a waxy quality. Fortunately, Astok doesn't seem to notice her interest. Matchstick-sized flames appear and disappear surronding Alira. From what she can tell, Astok seems to figuring out what kind of range he has. And from the look's of it, he has a reach of about 5 meters.

With a sigh, Alira stood up from her stooped examination of the seal. Nothing useful... The thief turned back to the twelve identical exits from the room. And nothing useful here either. I guess one is as good as another.... The frustrated elf set off down a random passageway.

Alira's eyes blurred for a second. Then everything snapped back into focus. She wasn't sure what had caused it but she felt a little tired. Maybe this whole thing was getting to her. She had chosen the northern passage, for whatever reason. The floor tilted a little so she began walking upwards. She came to a larger room. There was a glowing pool about 20 feet down and a ramp that led around the room and down into the water. The pool was clear blue but the light coming from it was yellow. The pool didn't look deep. Probably 5 or 6 feet at the most. At the far end, Alira saw a number of stone 'chairs'.Astok 'looked' at it (she could tell somehow) and said "Ah, that's how they did it. The people here never seemed to pale and were extremely healthy. That water is filled with some kind of bright essence, though I can't be sure what it is from up here. Slave, go to the water and immerse yourself in it, along with me!"

Alira's self control barely held as she bit back a scathing reply. So far, she'd made an effort to avoid confrontation with the spirit in the bracer, but her situation and Astok's unbearable attitude were getting to her. Keep it together girl... sure you don't need a cursed bracer, but you definitely don't need an angry cursed bracer. Still, if he keeps going with the "slave" stuff, I might have to put him in his place...

Sighing, the thief put the obnoxious spirit out of mind for the moment, and focused on the pool. The clean shimmering water did look inviting and she'd grown filthy from her rough entrance into the dungeon and her travels in tight, dirty tunnels. Maybe a quick soak won't be too bad...

Approaching the edge, Alira began to strip out of her clothes. She'd felt a brief pang of shyness when she considered Astok's presence, before she realized how ridiculous it was to apply the concept to a bracer. Gratefully, she pulled off her tight leather armor, revealing her perky small breasts. After peeling off her figure-hugging trousers and pulling off her boots, she slid her panties down her thighs as well and daintily stepped out of them. Leaving her equipment behind, the elf gracefully lowered herself into the waters of the pool.

Alira's skin tingled pleasently as she entered the water. She felt her strength returning to her. Then Astok spoke up again. "Yes! I can feel the energy returning!" The bracelet began glowing a dark red. A shadow slipped out of it and rose up in the water. It began to fill in, becoming a handsome man dressed in blood-red robes. His fingers emitted bolts of power that lanced through Alira... and did nothing. "Eh?" The figure, presumably Astok, attempted to touch a wall but he slipped through it. "No! This is simply a figment!" The sheer energy released would have been frightening if it had been real. As it stands, it was simply a light show. Astok panted heavily, then looked down. His form was becoming transparent. "Ach, the bracelet draws me back in."

He soon disappeared and once again the voice echoed from the bracelet. "We will need to do something different. However, you have been loyal, slave, and I shall reward you." The bracelet glowed and Astok began to yell "Come forth my loyal knight! Come forth, Ahael, Red Wing!" Alira felt her strength diminish, only to immediately be refreshed by the water. A column of dark red cloud appeared before her, dissipating to reveal... a goblin. It was a hunched creature, with a pot belly, ugly face, and sharp claws. It's skin was red-brown, like dried blood. What might draw Alira's attention, though, was that it's cock was almost as long as its legs.

"Ahael? Is that... you?" The goblin frowned. "Astok, you've returned. It has been a while."

Astok flashed and said "Yes, it has... things have changed. However, we shall have to speak later. I summoned you to reward my slave." Ahael grinned "No matter what form I have, I am ready to serve." He bowed and walked over to Alira. "A night elf... I haven't been with one of your kind for many years..." His claw scratched Alira's nipple, barely avoiding drawing blood. He grinned and stuck out his tongue, revealing it to be much longer than his head would allow. "Slave, service me. Then you shall have your reward.." He hopped on to one of the chairs and removed the loincloth. His cock was bumpy but was the only thing that wasn't ugly on the demon's body. It was, however, extremely obscene and radiated an aura of unnatural lust. Alira could almost see the number of virgins that had been broken.

Alira allowed the waters of the basin to wash over her, enjoying their rejuvenating effects. When Astok had begun his light show, she felt a brief pang of fear, but once she realized that it amounted to little more than the spirit's usual posturing, she closed her eyes and attempted to ignore the rest of the rambling, determined to enjoy this brief and unexpected restful interlude as long as she could.

"Come forth, Ahael, Red Wing!"

Even as a wave of fatigue washed over her, quickly chased away by the healing waters, Alira's eyes snapped open, staring at the demon summoned by Astok's magic. What...what the hell is that thing?! How did he do that? Stunned at this unexpected display of actual power, the lithe thief stood in the water, petrified as the new arrival conversed with Astok. Her eyes flicked between her weapons, left out of reach on the edge of the pool, and the dark-red figure of Ahael. Unconsciously, Alira's gaze began to linger on the obscene spectacle of the demon's cock. Every time she glanced at it, it was harder for her to look away, as if the mere sight of the demon spoke to a deeply hidden desire within the night elf. Oh gods... stop it! What is wrong with you...

By then, Ahael had finished his conversation with Astok, and moved purposefully toward Alira, putting himself squarely between the thief and her weapons. As his clawed hands reached for her exposed breasts, Alira tried to shield herself with her bare hands, but her movements were surprisingly sluggish. Ahael's rough squeeze of her nipple drew a sharp intake of breath from the lovely thief, as the pain was accompanied by an unexpected flash of pleasure. The demon paid no attention to her reaction, moving away and sitting himself on one of the stone chairs in the pool, casually exposing his enormous erection.

"Slave, service me. Then you shall have your reward.."

Alira tried to scoff at the imperious command, but the small spikes of lust that she had felt at the demon's initial appearance had by now grown into an unnatural yearning. She caught herself licking her lips involuntarily, and bit her lip. I...I need to get to the...weapons... I need...

Alira took a shaky step... toward the demon. Even as a part of her mind railed against her, her growing lust pushed her forward. Another step brought her within reach of the demon, and in a haze, Alira watched her own hand reach out tentatively, and grasp the huge girth of the demon's cock, her delicate violet fingers reaching barely half way around the shaft. The feel of the demon's hot flesh in her hands sent her further down into the spiral of desire that was raging inside her mind. With a moan, she took the final plunge, and brought her full lips to the tip of Ahael's cock. At first tentatively, then with more and more urgency, she began to lick and suck at the head of the demon's cock.
