"Looking for your dream girl huh?" Veera asked, eying Toel. She seemed to take on a pose that pronounced herself a little more emphatically, showing off her curves, "how do I compare?" One of her hands discreetly slipped down and pinched him on the ass, and if he jumped at all she would giggle, though either way she would give him a playful wink.

Her attention turned to Ruven as he offered further explanation, however, and she gave him a quizzical look as he mentioned his curse. "You've got yourself a curse eh? Doesn't sound good, best of luck on that," she said casually, before letting him go on about his specific needs. At that she smiled, nodding, and said; "You need someone to show you around eh? I can't say I know exactly where your poem leads, but I might be able to help you find it, and I can certainly get you near enough to comb for it!"

She grinned as he mentioned potential pay, and said; "Well, as I'll be out of town I'll be able to provide for myself just fine. For you two too, if that's needed and you don't mind taking a little longer. You won't need to keep watch either, I don't sleep much and my night vision is just fine. You won't even need to keep a fire! That oughta keep the bandits from stumbling on us. I will have to ask for a modest fee though. Say... Twenty five, ten now so I can get a few things and the rest when I get you where you want to go? With a provision for ten more if it takes us more than a month to find what you're looking for. That said... Well, you can both guess that I'm part demon."

She glanced between the two with a smirk, "my other half is faerie, so you needn't worry too much... But I will need some... Company... Every now and then, if you catch my meaning. I need to feed, and would rather not try and get that out of wild animals if I can help it. You both look like healthy young men though~" This time both of them got a pinch on the ass, "and you should do to keep me well fed nicely! I'd need to ask one of you to share a bedroll with me at least once every five days, though preferably once every three. I certainly wouldn't mind it a bit more often than that though, especially if you two don't mind a bit of sharing~"

Whether or not the two were exactly comfortable sharing the same woman was up to them. Both would find that the ale was pretty good, at least. It was slightly sweet but also slightly harsh, but in a nice way rather than the burning bitter of lesser ales.

Ruven was a bit shied off at how forward she was towards Toel. He smiled a bit, figuring twas only natural she'd take a preference to the big tall and attractive man before his little elven self. Ruven wondered if she'd manage to convert him, but she'd probably fail. Toel did seem a little determined to find this woman whose existence was questionable. Though that was no insult to Toel, since this curse that bothered him was just as questionable as far as it's removal.

Her prices were rather reasonable though. "That... That sounds great! We can afford that!" he declared. Though his face went red at her second request. Indeed, she was a demon, and that's how they feed. "Well... Miss Veera, I-eee!" Ruven was about to talk to her about her request, before he was pinched on the ass, causing him to let out a rather high pitched and shameful sound that any man would rather be caught dead than let out in public. Ruven, looking highly ashamed, found it difficult to continue. "... My friend... Has rather dedicated himself to the woman of his dreams, so I think that by default... I shall do my best to satisfy you..." Ruven said. He didn't let out the fact that he never really had his cherry popped. So it'd be hard to really satisfy her the way she probably knew Toel could. "Sorry that you'll have to settle on me, but I'll try not to disappoint." he said politely.

Toel felt faintly tense under the inspecting eye of Veera, moving in his seat some as she asks her question. His eyes do look over her curves, though his expression stayed surprisingly even. "Well, to be hone-" Toel's words catch in his mouth as his rear is pinched, indeed getting him to jump a little bit alongside making his eyes widen some, moreso in surprise than anything. No noise came from his reaction sadly.

"E-erm..." Letting out an awkward cough, Toel gets his thoughts back on track while keeping an eye on Veera's hand... Though as she speaks of her night vision alongside not needing a fire, Toel shakes his head as he rests his hand on the counter. "We can afford that... But remember what Ruven said about his curse?" He asks, looking over towards Ruven. "We need light around us at night or in the darkness." It was fair that she knew the risk that could come from this, so she doesn't get harmed during the middle of the night because she went without a light... At least if Ruven wanted to explain the risks of doing so, he left it in the air for consideration.

Luckily this gave Veera enough time to pinch Toel's rear again, making him yet again tense, but not jump this time. Sighing lightly, he was about to open his mouth about the... 'Sleeping arrangements', but Ruven beats him to it, earning the elf a small smile and a nod. "Sorry." Is all he says about the matter. He reminds himself to thank Ruven later for this.

Ruven nodded. "Yes. Monsters of shadow come to attack me in the darkness. I cannot, for the safety of my own life, lurk within the darkness lest it claim me. It has mostly only come after me, my friend Toel here has been in the darkness near me and yet emerged safely so I've reason to believe I'm the only one in danger, but you can't tell, really... So you'd best know the risks of traveling with me." Ruven declared, letting it be known that Ruven was the problem, not Toel.

Their reactions to her antics only served to amuse the warrior woman, though she frowned slightly at the added explanation of just what Ruven's curse required to keep it at bay, which hadn't yet been explained to her. "Well, that just means getting firewood before dark. It shouldn't be too much of a problem," she said calmly, before their conversation turned to explaining Toel's reservations about the second part of their payment. She quirked an eyebrow, seemingly surprised, and then shrugged. "Psh, humans and their saving themselves silliness... Always passing up on good fun~ Still, it's your decision," she replied dryly, turning to Ruven with an almost sadistic glimmer in her eye, "I'll just have to whip you into shape~"

Looking between the two, she held out a hand to each and said; "So, we have an arrangement then?"

Ruven's face went red at her mentioning of whipping him into shape. He wasn't sure in that moment whether he should feel insulted or... Happy.

Ruven nodded though, trying not to comment on the whipping part while taking Veera's hand in a gentle handshake. "Yes, thank you very much. We'll be in your care." Ruven stated.

While a part of Toel felt bad for leaving the burden to Ruven, the thought of the beauty in his dreams snaps him out of it. He is saving himself for her after all, as hard as it was to do so. After all, he had an active sex life before the dreams... Not anymore though.

Looking down to Veera's hand, Toel nods and takes her hand as well, giving her a firm handshake. "Sounds like a deal to me." After shaking Veera's hand and releasing it, he dips into his funds to offer up the 10 denarii to Veera, as she wanted.

Veera casually took the first portion of her pay from Toel and slipped the coins into a pouch at her side, "so, what's your plan? Will you be staying a night or will you be heading out soon?"

"We'll be well off refilling on supplies. Food mostly, but also fuel, yes?" Ruven said with in inquiry towards Toel.

Toel, in response, just gives a halfhearted shrug to Ruven. "Food for the most part, yes. We didn't use as much fuel due to the lightstone after all, but a fresh flask wouldn't hurt."

Ruven nodded, before gently touching Veera's arm, just to get her attention as he smiled up at her (assuming she was of average or above average height, since Ruven is a small man). "Do you happen to know where we can get some rations around here, miss Veera?" Ruven asked politely. Though not all of his actions were polite, as touching people wasn't exactly proper. That much could be chalked up to nervousness though, as he wasn't sure how to get the demoness' attention otherwise without locking up and mumbling uncertainly.

"Ahhh, good old supply run," she mused, before Ruven took her attention with the contact. She didn't seem bothered in the slightest, and nodded with a smirk, "yeah, there's plenty of traders at the stalls by the entrance if you're in a hurry, but I know a place you can get stuff a little cheaper if you don't mind a bit of a walk. Finding ground space out there is expensive, at least compared to the inner city shops, and they pass the added cost for real estate onto their customers out in the square."

Ruven shrugged after a moment with an uncertain smile. "Well, we're in your capable hands, miss Veera. Lead the way!" he said with encouragement.

Nodding his head, Toel gets up from his seat. "Sure thing. We got a bit of time to kill after all, yeah?" While he was hardly annoyed about the expenses paid for the trip so far, it would be better to save at least some Denarii for the long run.

"Ahhh, off we go then!" their guide said merrily, before retrieving one of the coins she'd gained from Toel and flicked it at the bartender. It bounced off of her bosom, twirled into the air, and landed in her cleavage before she even realized that Veera had tossed anything at her. The woman shot an annoyed glare at Veera as she strutted off, but it turned into a grin a few steps later when she began fishing the coin out of her bustier.

"Stick close, things can get rough when you get deeper into Acheron," Veera warned cheerfully as they exited the tavern, taking a look around before orienting herself deeper into the city. "We can hold hands if you get nervous," she added, flashing them a smile that turned mischievous, "or you can keep your hands elsewhere on me if you prefer~" She swept a playful look over both men, seemingly uncaring if either took the opportunity to grope her as she'd offered, but then started leading them on their way.

They passed all manner of colorful creatures along the way, folk of every color and oddity imaginable wandering the streets. Such seemed of little concern to Veera though, the fact that she seemed to live in the city of shapeshifters likely leaving her more jaded than the other two. All too soon they were approaching another building that Veera simply strolled into, one simply called Kyle's that seemed to have been converted into a supplies shop for travelers. Clothing, rations, supplies, and all manner of utilitarian objects were neatly arranged on shelves with clear pricing, and Veera went off to trade greetings with the shopkeeper, a harried looking man with two fans of whispy white hair sticking out of his head that looked more like cobwebs than anything else, the top of his head nearly bare and his red wide to the point of bulging.

Ruven didn't reply much to either offer of holding her hand nor groping her. He was just perhaps a bit surprised of how open she was to the idea of such a thing that he decided to say nothing lest he say something foolish. With that said, he was a bit overwhelmed by all the sights of so many different people, such that when one walked by of particularly ferocious appearance, all it took was one look from the frightening thing and Veera found a scared elf man indeed holding onto her hand after a shiver and a gasp. He simply couldn't leave this place soon enough.

When they arrived in the shop, Ruven sighed in relief to have gotten out of the streets. "So, we need food and fuel." he said to Veera before she walked up to converse with the shopkeep, staying close to her side since he trusted her far more than himself as far as handling this place. Best let her take the lead, in this sense.

While her offer was left in the air without much response or reaction by Toel, she at least was able to get a chuckle out of him as they went along. For the most part the Anudorian seemed rather curious of all that he was seeing, though he never let his eyes wander for too long on the people they pass. He wasn't one to judge others, but still, there are many people with looks he could never dream would be on a human body... Even the man that gives Ruven a short fright is observed briefly, though he does let his attention drop a bit faster as he looks over to Ruven, reaching over to pat the elf's back briefly.

Toel gives his own short greeting to the man as well, the Anudorian having his attention drawn away towards the shelves. While they are here mainly for the rations, he couldn't help but let his curiosity pass over what is on the shelves. If Veera knows the man behind the counter, it would be best to let her do the talking, right?

"Hey Kyle," Veera said, leaning over the counter on her elbows. "Veera, he grunted simply, though before she responded she turned back to them. She seemed surprised that Toel and Ruven were following her to the counter, and said; "What are you looking at me for? I showed you the place, you go find what you need."

"What are you gentlemen looking for?" the old man behind the counter asked, momentarily ignoring Veera.

Ruven looked a bit started and guilty at her question. He wasn't trying to act a fool, but ended up doing so anyway. "I-I was... I thought that we had to speak with... R-regulations uh... I'm sorry." Ruven apologized, feeling foolish as he lowered his head and sulked off. "Fuel..." he mumbled to himself so that the owner of the store could hear.

Toel pauses momentarily at Veera's question, the Anudorian scratching the back of his head momentarily. "Sorry. Was waiting to talk to him." Trying to play it off, he glances over to Ruven before returning his attention to 'Kyle'. "Yes, a bit of fuel for our lantern. We are looking for food for our trip as well." He clarifies, glancing around momentarily to see if he could spot anything of the sort around the place from where he stands.
