Give them bows. They were hands down the best monster class in the demo, and will be the only pure-breed I keep after getting my rainbow of hybrids.
They were pretty good, but I still think the bees were better. They just did such ridiculous damage in a good aoe if you line them up, weakness or not.
In the full game though, the human girls outclass all the monsters to such a ridiculous extent. Between the archer's completely ridiculous damage and utility, redhead's great damage and odd hitboxes, and the main chick's AoE, you don't even need much else. Even the healer has incredible offensive use with those long hitboxes if you give her some damage. I haven't toyed around with the hybrids much, but through the main game I used the plant and squid the most for utility. Roots completely bypass breakable mechanics and have ridiculous range(hello bridge stage), and the squid just demolishes breakable walls for the rest of your team.
Also I will say that the centaur helped a bit in the 6th area for me. I had an issue where the bats would always survive with just a tiny bit of HP, especially in the pit area, and I hated grinding, so there was no way I'd go back to do it. Using the centaur let me move on pretty easily by sniping them off.
I wish the items were translated, though. I can't help but feel that the game would be even more interesting and complex if I knew exactly what I was equipping.
Seriously though, that archer is just too broken. I hate lolis, but she's just so good I had to use her for the entire game. She really shouldn't be able to ohko a boss double her level, and then kill one or two minions with the same attack.
Are there any other costumes in the game outside of the first wave of them from the shop? I lost my shop shortly after I noticed them, so I wasn't able to see if they ever added more. I never even found the healer's actual costume and she had to go nude for most of the game. (No complaints.)
