And the "etc." eventually and always becomes "everything."
They're talking about things that are illegal or potentially illegal. Prettty sure we'd hear about stuff in the news making currently legal sex acts illegal long before Patreon would make any change in that area.

that last one only extends sex shop rules to online streaming apparently, but seriously? female ejaculation is banned?

Pornography and Hentai are legally considered to be separate things on most websites and in the legal books.

Also, Patreon is situated in the USA, so UK laws are irrelevant to Patreon's rules.

The Patreon TOS updates seem to have gotten everyone worked up, but I believe Hentaiwriter already made an outstanding post regarding the legality. Sometimes doing a bit of research and reading can alleviate one's doubts. Here is the link to his post regarding the details:

He already posted the link on the last page of the thread, and he does have excellent points, but can you blame people for being scared? I know I wouldn't make enough to live anymore if my patreon campaign was shut down, so it's obviously something that would have some serious repercussions on my life, and would slow down the progress of CPE immensely. I'm guessing a lot of people using Patreon would be in a similar situation.

Anyway.. With very little fanfare, but just in time for Christmas, it's time for the next public update!

v.06 is a bit smaller than I would have liked. I was already behind on work, and Thanksgiving travel threw off my schedule further. Regardless, it still contains some nice new content and I think you guys are going to enjoy it.

UPDATE v.06 CHANGES -Finish kick animation [partially done] + Warped Soldier detail
-Update crouching pose again
-Begin work on cumming animations
-Slime
-Slime duo
-Tentacle
-Design more of game map
-Plan out environmental hazards
-Create more content (areas)

As usual, in addition to the list of primary updates, here's what I'm working on for the upcoming New Years Patreon release:

UPDATE v.07 GOALS
-Finish rest of kick animation
-Add in Wire Shot upgrade
-Implement first boss
-Actually re-code collision engine for real this time, seriously
-Improve dialogue box graphics
-Add Warped Soldier cumming animation
-Possible new enemy? (depends on how long boss takes)
-Implement various environmental hazards
-Create more content (areas)

As you can see, the next update should be much more substantial. It will be released to Patrons in the first week of December, but keep in mind that you'll only get the update then if they're signed up for the campaign before December 1st. If not, it'll come to the public as usual on January 25th.

Hope you're having a great holiday season, and Merry Christmas to you all!

Looking good so far, though I am still withholding my money until more breeding/infection/infestation is added.

Breeding is self-explanatory, but what is infection/infestation? I haven't heard anyone bring them up, and I can't think of a sexual context for them.

missed most of this thread since i was inactive. what was your take on breeding / impregnation so far?

also would he happen to mean like corruption? that's the only thing i can think of infection wise... that or poisonous cum o.0? damage over time if you don't clean it out of your vagina XD?

another thing is maybe if you add zombies the cum could be damaging if not cleaned out o.0? now that's a fetish i could get into....

Man, Aiming is tough in this game. Wish it was more like... the flash games TD4P/Raze on Kongregate. Anywho, had some issues with the game.
From a hole in the floor, I jumped into back into the room with the laser beams that block the left and right exits. However, I was repeatedly knocked down by a soldier, thus falling back into the previous room. Maybe I was stupid there, but jumping back into that room was annoying since his three bullet spray would just knock me back down. After I killed him, I noticed that the laser beams had turned off, which I assume was due to shooting a crystal. But when I approached the left-side, the laser beams switched back on. I did not try to see if going back to the crystal did anything. Let me know if either was intended or an issue.

The aiming system is straight out of Metroid, but I can see how some people would have trouble getting used to it. There will be upgrades that make hitting enemies easier though, so hopefully it didn't turn you off too much!

The hole in the floor is a minor issue I plan on fixing. Enemy bullets remain where they were, even if you switch areas, so it causes some issues right there. I'll be fixing that in the next update though. As for the laser, try looking at the environment closer. There's a switch on the ground that activates those doors when you step on it. The next update to the game will make the positions of those switches more obvious, but there will be plenty of traps like that in the Ruins, and the ones that activate those forcefield doors require Alicia to seek out a crystal switch to deactivate them.

Aiming up diagonal is okay

Aiming down diagonal is too close to her feet, makes me feel like I'm a Sicilian standing on top of a shallow hole I just got some wiseguy to dig.

It'd be okay if the crawling enemies didn't hop at you just as they got in range, or if they were tall enough that I could hit them with crouch shot.
But neither of those are true so it makes slimes a really annoying enemy, considering those make up over 80% of enemies encountered it slows down the gameplay a lot, this is bad.

Taking a wild guess, infection probably means some sort of CoC type thing where your "corruption" slowly goes up, and you gain strange features like dark skin, glowing eyes, etc. A wild guess, you're probably against that.

Infestation is a little easier to guess. Probably non-mammalian/alien pregnancy. Insect larva crawling out of various orifices, stuff like that.

Time to try some other combat tactics if straight up stand-n-shoot don't work. I've stated several times that Crisis Point's combat is largely focused on mobility, and it remains true to this day. Slimes can easily be kicked away with proper positioning, and hitting them with diagonal jump-shooting is pretty easy business. My personal favorite is firing a Force Shot straight forward as a slime approaches, then kicking said slime into the blast.

The point of the slimes is multi-faceted - to be a nuisance, and to make the player think on their feet. They do minor damage and they move a lot, but have small hitboxes and can easily be avoided. And they die in only 3 hits from the most basic weapon in the entire game. It sets the stage for the entire game's combat design philosophy. It's not supposed to be an easy game that you can mindlessly crouch-shoot your way through, man.

@dragonlord217 - You'd be correct in assuming that's something I won't be adding to Crisis Point, lol. It wouldn't really have a place in the narrative. Bug pregnancy ala Parasite in the City is a-okay, but larva just isn't my kind of thing. Kinda grosses me out.

It's generally "she's turned evil!" with some kind of biological/chemical justification. Mind worms, zombie viruses, and such. This can vary WILDLY in terms of grossness, as you might imagine.

You technically have something like that already going on with the mad soldiers, but the fetish-y version would have a female character (such as the protagonist) coming down with a similar case of the Evils. An unusually elaborate "death" animation, probably.

Gotta love them non-standard game overs.

Not very often one sees the parasitic takeover or transformation type though to my knowledge. Maybe I'm not looking in the right places? Either way would be a welcome addition in my book.

That sounds much more doable. As you said, the general idea of people "turning" is already a part of the game world with the Warped Soldiers, so it would be simple to work that in as a fancy death scene. It would likely not have much in the way of physical transformation, nothing more than the Warped Soldiers have, but it can still be done easily. I'll keep it in mind and try to find a place for it, thanks for the elaboration!

Any plans for controller support? I see that you can rebind keys but not to a controller.

If no controller support is added, get Xpadder!:D

There will definitely be controller support eventually, but it's not a priority for me right now. Until then, as Soljer13 said, you can grab xpadder and use that - it basically converts your gamepad inputs into keyboard buttons, so you can use it for anything that doesn't have built-in gamepad compatibility.
