Akabur may calm down over the coming weeks. Seems he is really high strung right now, but maybe we all can find out based on how the reception for PTGold is received.

Still I am looking forward to another Year of Akabur. Just as long as he doesn't go all crazy on us lol.

Can someone help me with Witch Trainer?

I started from the beginning after picking it up from the torrent link on here. I watched the recap of what happened in magic shop and the part where the dude ends up in the office. I started exploring by clicking on the bird and the fireplace, but had to use the arrow keys in order to select the door and the cupboard behind him. I went through every option i can find up to the point where the only thing left is repeating to pet to the bird while everything else is left as "never mind" and yet nothing seems to be happening or advancing in any way.

Do I just need to clicking on stuff, or have I done something wrong?

Explore everything once : cupboard, bird, fireplace, door then click the desk and sleep. Repeat that for a few days (just the cupboard and door, the rest is useless for now) to gain 2 blue potions for the boss fight and Snape will come talk to you 3-4 times before said boss fight begins. Win and you'll eventually be able to write reports for $, hangout with Snape at night for more Slytherin points and a few ~100 days later, Hermione will come crying to you she failed an exam nad beg you to tutor her. This game is a click-fest and takes MANY days to advance the story.

I tried what you said, but its not working. The desk won't highlight when I hover over it like the bird or the fireplace and i can't select it with the arrow keys either (which is the only way i can look at the door and cupboard as well, if that helps). Clicking on the desk anyway does nothing.

Has this happened for anyone else?

On the witch trainer game, I can't seem to get snape to hang out with me anymore at night - he always says he's busy?

Did you max out your relationship with him? If you do and it's closer to the Autumn Ball event, he says that he will be busy and won't be able to hang out in the evening anymore. It takes a while to max out your status with him. With me, I maxed out my relationship with him when I had only a few tasks left to max out with Hermione and the Autumn Ball cutscenes started happening.

I can't progress. I've read all the the educational books, I can't hang out with snape anymore (maxed out?), and I can't do anything with hermoine.
The next event doens't trigger. What do I have to do? I read something about hearts, but where can you see these hearts and how do you improve them?

You just need to grind on, I suspect. She will come to you at some point and offer to do stuff for house points - I'm not sure what triggers that event, but I suspect it when the difference in house points reaches a certain %. I had a look at the code for PT, so I'm not inclined to dig around in WT (Akabur may be many things, but a coder he ain't).

I am making this post simply to let you know that I am alive and well. Most of you know my policy on spoilers, so I have nothing to report really.

I spend my days going through emails (still. one hour every day) and working.

Also tomorrow I shall have my first live-drawing class in a while. Looking forward to that.

Also thanks to your help I think it shouldn't take me longer then a year to collect the necessary sum. So, VanArts, here I come.
Getting a visa should be "fun". Can wait to try an explain the Canadian consulate how I am making a living...
