Ah, yeah. The Witch Targeting change happened sometime in June and July. I was able to replicate the Nenya strategy, so it's more likely to have occurred in June. The first Belinda video was in April, and the second one was in December.
The only thing that's different in the Eliza video (and second Belinda video) is that they changed the very first sortie point that you regen to 0.9 seconds from the beginning during the Imelia event instead of immediately like it did after the Charlotte event.
A little bit to add to the event plat units for low level players - remember, that the leveling game has changed. It is no longer 'stfu and farm Rural 24/7'. Since new story mode maps, the better map you can do, the faster you level. And starting players reportedly have problems with reaching those high food value maps.

Today I got platinum bishop Marius from SP summon... and I am thinking about feeding him to my AW Noel. Too bad he didn't come during male xp event. Are there any merits to keeping him, provided I have min cost AW Noel?
I see no reason to finish all of the story maps unless you really want/ need one of those particular silver units. once you get up to the missions with dragons in them those are probably the best unit exp maps especially the 34 cost one

Mmmm I think the last maps are the best to farm units for exp. I'm doing the 30 cost one, pretty efficient. The last one has better drop chance but it's too complicated to farm....
I can't find the calculations now, but new story maps outshadow old ones massively in terms of food exp per stamina, due to multiple bronze units drop and the fact, that bronze soldier Hashim gives 30 more base exp. Final story map is the best (with 650ish food exp per run, giving 16.25 per sta) followed by Desert Oasis (450 per run, 15 per sta).
PS - I have found out about the Hashim thing while double-checking if I am not b/s you here. This comes as a surprise, but he gives 100 base exp (that is, exp before level bonus), while other bronzes give 70.
PS2 - Also before new story maps update the 34 stamina dragon map sucked hard in terms of food exp and I think it did not change with this update. Rural Gate should still be the best food exp map from the old story missions.

I've been doing Base Struggle, I have my units deployed in a certain way so Betty has unfettered access to all of the dragonewts from the bottom right, though Taian has been experimenting so that Betty also has access to the bottom-right dragonewts and bottom-left demons (he uses 3 gold+ healers and 3 archers with one of each class awakened, so I don't know if I can do it with Daniella and Alyssa substituting for one of the gold archers and healers since he's having his Soldier Elite Aria catch all of the demons and stuff Betty doesn't catch).
I barely 1 starred one of those maps before oasis the one with all the lizards so I think im good at oasis since I 3 starred it without much difficulty I dont even want to attempt that last desert map where u start with 20% hp
Im not quite sure I think the wiki says phalanx 2 for platinum but really the map just gives a ton of likeability items and an occasional fairy. I think the highest 1 cost challenge map will normally always give 1 silver and I think the map is giant enemy or giant enemy 2 or something has giant goblins going down 3 lanes that map usually always gives a gold fairy. Ive found nothing that will give a high chance for platinum yet I'm not sure if there is any.

Low Cost battle (低コストバトル) for silver fairy only and best farming spot for female affection gift.
Giant Enemy (巨大な敵) for Gold fairy only.
Phalanx 2 (ファランクス2) for Platinum fairy and second best farming spot for female affection gift.
You do not to worry about black fairy if you are free player (like some of us) because black fairy from event and reward are more than enough.
I mostly does not do Dairy quest because i do not need black fairy (their drio rate also very low) and farming Challenge Mission gave me both fairies and gifts
Yeah, its a very picky mission. You need 2 near maxed silver witches or better. Start by placing them on the central island. Then place the prince on the spot bottom left from the island as to block armors inside the witches range. After that you can do whatever u want. I usually place a mage, a healer could be useful too if your prince is low lvl but adding more magic dmg should be enough. Activate the 2 main witches skills when the 2nd wave is in range and you are clear.
I am doing it with 4 witches:
1. 50CC40 Calliope, max affection
2. 50CC40 Nenya, 0 affection
3. 45 Eliza, non cc, 0 affection (used shiho 50CC30, 0 affection before)
4. 20 Bellinda, non cc, 0 affection (used Chloris lvl 14, non cc, 0 affection before)
And thats enough. I've been having troubles with this map untill Crow told me "lol, why u are using here anything other than witches?". Worked like a charm. Put them all on this 4spot Island and you are set up. You can add mage later if you will ever need him but I dont think so.
Start by placing your first CC witch on the "island" in the upper left. Then place your next best witch in the upper right part. Then place the prince below the island on the left. Next put down a silver cc healer. After that place a strong duelist, princess if you can. Make sure to use your skills when able. If this does not work, then you need levels.
Also remember to use your Kyuteri (gold rogue with purple/pink clothes, obtained via code). She gives you small boost for affection items drop chance even before AW (AW just makes it better).
