Ha wait for patch I dont have a lifetime to live, like I said it isn't gamebreaking just annoying being able to only use scrolls to upgrade.

Made it to floor 20 for the first time ever in the city, I have ended so many bells and I am still missing one Seal essence, getting real tired of your shit bell.

Found a 3 slot Gothic bustier and 3 slot Gunners bloom two floors apart, figures when I am no longer looking for something I get it.

I thought the latest patch (April 2015) already solved these problems. If you didn't make any mistakes in the step processing of selecting and upgrading, I'm guessing it was because you're using December 2014 patch. You can just download The patch (patch_20150417_2330.rvdata2 around 1.27kb) and put it inside the patch directory of your game folder (and hope that it works).

I wonder if you'd knew, but inventory can exceed 25. Dropping down ALL already-equipped weapon and armories (while equipping other weapons and armories if needed be) can gives up to 2++ extra spaces, then 'Pick And Equip'.

Try Border of Erosion, after floor 60th, it is easier to get the things you want. No need to worry, once you get used to it, any floors below 100th is a piece of cake, once you get used to it, and you can returned back to a safehouse every 3-9 floors to restocked supplies. Belle and Dullahan can be found in Abandoned Village.

Downloaded patch_20150417 from the creators website extracted it like it says, booted up the game and it loads the patch but I am still unable too upgrade anything via the dwarf even though Items are listed in his reinforce menu, tried using scrolls of full repair on them just in case but it didn't help.

I guess the dwarf is forever lost to me for upgrades.

No problems here, using the latest version of the game with the patches installed.

Not to insult your intelligence or anything, but no equipment can be upgraded beyond +30. Anything below takes repairs and scrolls to ensure eligibility for blacksmith upgrade.

Eligible items for upgrade under the new item interface need to be selected by pressing the right-arrow key to add it to the list. Holding Z afterwards with all items added to the list confirms the upgrade.

Yeah I am not that stupid some of the items I am trying to upgrade are +0 And I have nothing over level 20 being scrub as I am.

Pressing right and holding Z on an item no matter how I try does nothing.

I just dont know I have a whole bunch of items listed in the dwarfs reinforce menu many of which I can clearly recall using scrolls of repair on in the field when they were low on durability.

If you're using the English interface, try switching to the Japanese one. I've lost count of the number of bugs and glitches associated with the former.

Other than that, I honestly have no idea why you have this problem. If you bothered to look at my attached screenshot, the two weapons which I could upgrade happen to be the only ones in my collection which are under +30, everything else is greyed out despite being eligible because the maximum was reached ages ago.

I wonder if some of the bugs occurs because of the entire game files was from a certain timeline or because of the patching. Not to promote piracy, but you can find downloads of the games of any timeline on the net (I'm talking about the entirety of the game directory being updated rather than just the patches).

Idk why Aarken still get that despite downloading the patch.
For me, I'm using the entire game from Before December 2014 and just patches with the April 2015 patch (since the upgrading problems only occurs for dec 2014 patch, I figured using the ones from before or after that).

*Sigh* I really need to find another paralysis-2 to go along with Spined-blade or at least my Rapier. A Spined-blade with embedded resilience-1 just doesn't cut it.

Tried switching to the jap interface, found the dwarf in the watermill and still the same problem unable to select stuff for upgrade, even though its in his reinforce list and highlighted and below lvl 30.

Found a copy of the 15/04/2015 version I shall download that and see if it works, I can just transfer saves yeah?

Wouldn't you know it, fresh copy of the game latest update moved my save across and it works the dwarf bestows his mighty upgrade all over Roland, Thanks for the suggestions guys.

Good for you and glad that we could help a bit . As a reward for your success, that version came along with a death-bug (like I mention before) . I strongly suggest you tried a death-run and see if you can restart or not . If you can, congratulations, if you can't, you should:
- Turn off auto saves, or
- Have a back-up saves, or
- Just tried another more stable version of the game and patch it with the latest patch (if needed be).

game seems neat though, but there's too much text all-over the screen, not to mention even in english some of them hardly form a coherent sentence

Homebrew translations have been personally forbidden by the game's developer on this thread.

For references, Language_eng.rvdata2 is an empty file which is just used as a switch. If you really wanted to mess around with translations, then the only real way to do so would be by overloading the vocab scripts through a patch. Although as Harleyquin said, Ramble Rabbit is against people messing around with this game. So, uh, if you do, keep it to yourself I think.

... And, I suspect that even if you could correct all of the words etc on this game, you'd still be stuck with Japanese grammar.

1. Rapier (Thunder3 - Silver1 - Atk2 - Atk1)
2. Cross Fire (Dex2)
3. Long Horn (Ice3 - Stun1 - Silver1)
4. Gunner's Bloom (Spi3 - Fire3 - Prayer1)
I have Earth3 and another Fire3 in my box.

I want to bring 5 weapons but I don't know what do.

If you haven't already, look at the sample builds available on the first page of this thread. There are quite a few suggestions on what weapons to use.

Two essences spring to mind regarding the vague "Ankou". One is the essence which blinds enemies depending on the strength of the essence, the other is the essence which deals darkness damage. A screenshot would help (preferably with the Japanese interface).

Been out of it for a while.

Ankou-inscription do 50% more dmg to undead. Wolf-Hound (beast), Guivre (dragon), Gevauden (Humanoid), Gremlin (construct), Fungus (elemental).

What kind of build do you want?
- General all-purpose build: Agi-build, Str-build, Mgc-build, Status-ailment-build, etc.
- Specific enemy-counter bulid:
Black-dog counter build, Arachne-troupe counter bulid, Belle-counter build (Oops, sorry, there are currently no Belle-counter build as of this moment).

You can try to find 2 Paralyze melee weapons and combine them to make a Spined-blade. Combo-ed with Cheval de Batiar inscription, you can hit away any melee enemy from a safe 2-ranged melee attacks. Cheval Knock-back also helps to lessen being rape while being binded/knocked down.

Point to ponder:
- Basically, the item-build will do better when you combo-ed using Inscription, essences, and the right equipment.
- You will realize what you will be needing when you have faced monsters after 100th++ floors.
- There are two kind of losing in this game, one is through overpowered, the second is through Violated/Rape. No matter how overpowered you are, if you fought against the wrong enemies at the wrong time, you will lose without needing to be KO-ed.

1-Red 1-Empty socket Falcon Stake?
Because right now, I have Atk3 on one and Def3 on another one.

After playing like 7++ times in BoE and killing 500++ Ghoul and Black Dog, even in BoE floor 20++, I've gotten a hold of Agi3 Maiden Wear with 3-slots, and two Paralysis-2 (with Agi-1 red) on Short Sword and Athame Knife. Talk about luck.

3-slot falcon stake with at least 2 red essences. Remember to use your preferred weapon as the base.

Well, my friend, I'm gonna answer your question, in theory, knuckle-duster have hands down best dps but due to skill restriction, you can't melee with it but I have my own use for it: stun lock a powerful monster, quickswap and hit it hard (solo use only)
