You can only start the game in jap... Save and then restart it in English. There is no other way around it for now.

@pomelo: If you're lacking in damage, pick the clock engine. My emphasis on survivability and occasional use of the slit underwear means the rosary is my preferred choice.

You can repair equipment at the hollow tree. Also the PC's room after clearing the game is accessible at the church.

I have a mix of bad sexual habits in the making under my current mental state, but the two highest are vibrator and masturbation addiction. The former from the trap and the latter from lowered 我慢 and inability to cure 火照り in time. Morale fluctuates between 130 to 210 depending on how careful I play during my 2-hour runs.

There is an upside to accepting and getting impregnated. The purple essence that drops is worth far more than the normal yellow ones for calculation in crafting new weapons at the blacksmith. However overly frequent impregnation is itself a bad sexual trait so it depends on the player's preferences. I find it easier to kill everything in sight.

Soooo, how does the patching work? I downloaded 4 patch files from the uploader that he has and I assume i dump all of them in the patch folder? Although I have a feeling that does not seem to be the case.

That's it. The developer also removes obsolete patches once he uploads a new version on DLsite that incorporates all of the necessary features.

GJ on getting a survive on the first slot. That by itself makes a good overslot clothing. If only the second slot is clear instead ._. (I know I know, I should be satisfied with an overslot, my bad)

That's actually one more ranged weapon more than me. But you were always a tad more range heavy so I am not surprised. I am still thinking of getting a impulse, but Vanguard is more suitable.
Note: You should probably swap out your gunner's broom once you find a better alternative. I recall you were skill-based, hence gunner's broom (30% Mag) is somewhat difficult to utilize in terms of damage.

天使の腕章 (+7 natural hp regen, +15% item/skill hp regen, reduce wounded time by half)
銀時計 (+3 Max MP, +10% Max MP afterwards)
Or just use the rosary, which cuts down vit lost by 20%.

A little unfortunate with water +2 since my preferred choice was lightning +3, but water +3 is very limited (grand total of 3 water-based attacks) whilst the 20% resistance to fire damage is constant and equivalent to a cardinal's robe so not that big a loss.

I'm keeping the 1st stray cat I had in case I have a massive data fail or screw-up. But the new stray cat is coming along on +24 now.

When I'm using my "training" gear, magic scores average around +40 with fully repaired equipment. If I use the cardinal's robe my magic score is up to +70. Combined with my average 77 dexterity, I don't really need the vanguard since the gunner's broom is effective 1 on 1 against enemies with bullet resistance (can't do much against demons, but aside from shotgun shells even regular bullets average double figures for each 3-shot attack).

I also replaced my handguns. I found a knockback +2 set of pistols which I've successfully converted to 4-slot limbfires. There's a paralysis 2 longsword waiting for its last locked slot to be opened.

Either my armour and underwear gets to +30 or I find the necessary equipment to use my red-slot gear. It's still taking ages but I'm taking a break for the time due to other matters.

Makai mode will probably be doable once a bit more survive gear from the railway drops.

For me, the ideal combination for limbfire would be knockback 2 plus stun/paralyze 2 but frankly that's almost impossible. The only place where you'd even dream about seeing this combination is probably the graveyard, my least favourite hunting ground.

I just picked up a paralyze 2 limbfire with 2-slots but I sold it since guns for me are to keep the opponent away and knockback-2 has higher chance to trigger compared to paralysis, there's no resistance to the effect either.

Unless I obtain/craft a set of "perfect" weapons (i.e. anything with the right level 2 essence) my weapons stay at +20. If something satisfies the requirements, then the money is poured in to get it to +30.

I'm now using a semi-rare darkness 2 athame knife (max sockets of course), but if I had a chance I'd swap the darkness 2 for paralysis 2 and then upgrade that weapon to +30.

I now have a complete set of max-socket craftable weapons. My first attempt at the Katze Balgen wasn't with the right number of sockets, now I have a 3-socket one sitting in my stash. I'll probably stick in lightning 3 (must farm), blind 1 and stun 1.

The spined blade/spellbinder set of dual-weapons is really weird. The spined blade has 8 less maximum durability than the dagger-like spellbinder but both allow double-attacks, the spined blade range of 2 is probably the ultimate equalizer against opponents like the tux-wielding skeleton who won't stand still. Spellbinder silence is also one of the 3 sources of silence in the game but infinitely more reliable (granite blade requires you not to be powered-up while the silence essence on weapons is ridiculously rare).

Although entanglement is easily resisted by the plants, range 2 on the spined blade probably means fire 3 + paralysis 1 or 2 for best results with the maximum 2 sockets allowed.

Geeze, and here I thought I won't be back to grinding until the author finishes with the game.

At the moment, the only thing I want is probably ... nothing? I got everything already a while ago unless he added new content. (Though technically, I don't have an impulse yet cause I don't want to use up all my KB essence)

I apparently have 3 sets of max-slot automatic, one with Dex 3 that I am currently using, 1 with para 2, and 3rd with Mithril 3 that I made into a knuckle duster.

I suppose I should be farming another magi-tech 3 for my athame knife? And switch Athame Knife to Ice 3 or something else. NOT looking forward to farming it though.
Interestingly enough, knuckle duster with mithril 3 and 3 set of status effecting items is the strongest/most broken melee weapon in game.

You don't have an earth 3 weapon, swap out the water for lightning and see the difference. It's useful for the minion and the Black Goat. Easier to farm compared to Ice 3 if you don't have it.

I picked up a wind falcon-stake which I eventually upgraded to 3-slots. Much better than the darkness 1 I previously used (still keeping it for future Wild Hunt farming).

The penalties associated with the stat-boosting level 3 essences can be very painful if the wrong combination is used. Personal wish-list for my ideal cardinal's robe is survive+agility 2.

That knuckle-duster is incredibly strong at close-range, but the bullet consumption on it must be ridiculous. Since yours is the glass-cannon build, the strength rating alone is worth it.

Not long to go before most of my clothing hits +30. Now that I have the Katze Balgen and Spined blade, I'll be getting ready to run the Minotaur and the Hunter again for the respective element 3 essences. If and when I pick them up, makai mode should be more than doable with the time and effort I invested into upgrading equipment.

Granite Blade is Earth element by default. In terms of water though, I do believe I need to swap it to something else.
But not lightning, you haven't seen ridiculous amount of damage my automatic does. Let's just say that bosses like Belle dies in 2 turns. (and she's not even weak to lightning)

The bullet consumption is indeed ridiculous. It's one of the reason I am putting it in storage when I farm.

In my opinion, you should have an easy time with Makai mode even now. Just remember it's harder to upgrade in makai mode due to repair bills.

The version I downloaded started out giving me some "3hp" error, which upon reading the thread a bit had a suggested fix, which indeed resolves the error but now the game just opens, then closes on startup, no error message or anything, it just shuts down, and I'm not seeing any solution forthcoming.

Any help?

Hello everyone. This is my first post so sorry in advance if I make any grammatical error or offending anyone in here.

I really like rougelike game and Maidensnow just fit my taste perfectly.....Although I have some question to ask to anyone experienced enough and care to share some wisdom.

So I already downloaded from the update both from the main official site and the blog site.

However for some reason the one that I got from the official site (the メイデンスノウの妖怪大魔境 file) is password protected and even though after a small digging around, while the password is blog reference, I keep on failing to open the zip file.

The other one I manage to download (the RV2data files) and I already put those files inside a new folder (renamed patch), yet has no effect at all.

I don't know wether I'm just dumb/confused but a little bit of help to explain is very appreciated.

Latest version according to Dlsite is for April but it seems to be something related to April Fools. Anything with the valentine's day or white day chocolates is fairly recent.

I'm quite pleased with my second attempt at a spined blade. I could change up for a fire 3 essence but I got VERY lucky and got a lightning essence after killing the Wild Hunt roughly 10 times.

I'll need to get some upgrades in though, damage on both weapons is currently half that of my falcon stake and current accuracy is less than 100%.

Any chance that you don't have the Windows Japanese language pack installed on your pc? My computer crapped out a few months ago and now Windows update is failing almost all updates after re-installing windows, so I can't get the Japanese characters on my PC. It's a pretty specific thing, but you basically just described exactly what the game does for me when I install it, and use the fixes from the forum. They do work (not for me... anymore, but they used to).

As far as I know, I never found an option to change hair color.

And another question, I have read some people manage to upgrade their equipment up to +30......while I never can get it above +10. Unfortunately, I forgot at which page.

Any suggestion?
