How would it fit? I can see the reason you can't see any CG is, as you can't control them, you don't get the sidebar artwork of their "status".

Also, remember this game is made for Japanese: they can read the text. It's just us dirty gaijin who can't

Still, this game is certainly sounding impressive, very much so. It might give it a running with Monmosu... but that's going to largely hinge on a translation.

Well, I'll do my best with the translation. Still some technical issues to sort out...

Also, it should be pointed out that despite what's been said in this thread so far, the game is not an SRPG. In terms of gameplay, it'd be much more accurate to call it a Roguelike - I'd say that the only test of Roguelike-ness that it fails is that maps are not randomly generated.

I wish it was an actually SRPG (there's just so few of them), but this setup is still a huge step up over the traditional turn-based system.

Regarding that QA, that's kinda interesting. If there's situations where you end up literally fighting with everything you have but that you can actually get out of them, that'd be absolutely thrilling in my opinion. The thief prison would be a great example of that IF it was actually escapable.

Either way, I'm not a big fan of RPGMaker games, but I'll certainly be giving this one a look-see when it comes out.

That and Roguelikes often have random maps but theire are sRPGs that let you do that too.

But yes I see your point in hindsight, it is more roguelike isn't it. Still a plus as Roguelike is one of my favorate game genres.

Does anyone have any ideas what pregnency will actualy do in this game?

As sex is largly negative in this game I'm thinking that it will remove usable party members indefinatly while they are pregnent. That or it would be a crippling debuff.

Any thoughts?

The name, "Dungeons and Prisoners", as well as the main cover art for the game thus far, kinda implies that you are going to get captured and probably spend the majority of the game trying to escape.

The bigger thing for me was that the game follows the "enemies are players" rule, i.e. enemies follow the same rules that you do. You'd be surprised at the number of games where enemies cheat.. Anyhow, a good definition of Roguelike is here:

It's already been stated that Minnie can get pregnant, so I'm thinking that it won't remove party members. Not sure how it will be implemented, really.

I'm worried about non-controllable party members. Hopefully they'll heal up after each battle or not have a terribly stupid AI.

Lynn (Rin?) seemed fairly competent in the battle she fights in. She had no problem at all mowing down half the bandits. Then again, this may be because she's simply such a high level.
EDIT:
Now that I've thought about it, if you hacked the game to lower Rin's HP, is she actually able to be raped in the demo? Meaning if she even has lines/sprites to support it in the demo.

New update on the author's blog. Seems like vaginal intercourse will be shown on the next demo. It also says something about pregnancy, but I'm only reading this off of google's translation. Dunno for sure. Seems like the next demo is due this week. Can't wait.

Messed around with cheat engine. Lynn has some sort of ability that fully heals her when she gets knocked down. Plus, I don't think the enemies on the bridge can actually rape. I sat there watching Lynn pop back up for a couple of dozen times and the enemies that had Mine surrounded didn't do anything.

I've attached the save file if someone else wants a crack at it.

I second that! Sadly the japanese DLsite seems to not like my money

And this is a game that I will support as soon as possible. We don't get enough games well through like this one.

Also, I love the old school D&D-inspired games. We really lacked an erotic one until now !

Like the many people that have already posted, I've had multiple credit cards canceled because of fraud alerts when attempting to support games from the Japanese DLsite. Another method of payment, such as paypal, would be great if you can't get the game onto the English DLsite.
