Damn not her smoothest move still the heroine remained calm. "Riley Sir make your way to the dorm Im gonna lose these critters." With that Jenny took to the air making her way to the balcony. Making it there would let her at lest gain some distance to hid again and circle back to rejoin the others.

"Be careful" Riley paused briefly looking over to Jenny before dashing out the faculty, just as 5 more enemies entered the faculty! 2 of them being the possesed shadowy puppets, these seemed significantly faster and quickly locked their gaze to the heroine.

Thankfully none of the creatures saw her companions, it was just Jenny and 5 of these things.

The succubus quickly formed out her wings, tearing new outfit asunder... damn that didn't last long, and took to the skies! While it was the usual foolproof plan, the shadowy puppets shivere and moments later both of them formed wings of darkness before dashing through the air towards Jenny!

Well then this should be a treat to bad Riley was gonna miss the show. Readying her Rifle Jenny made several aerial maneuvers to gain a better shot at her pursuers. Using her new found skills Jenny took two shots at each of the shadow puppets. Hopefully while they gained a few new tricks they where still rather fragile.

Jenny quickly pulled out her weapon and aimed down at her charging foes. With new unprecendented skill the heroine let loose! Shot after shot after, after shot! The devastatign technique the Sheriff used was now in the girls control!

The shots pierced rirght throught the puppets, sending heaps of their flesh away from the body making the black ooze leak out... but they weren't stopping!

How was that possible! Even one shot used to kill a puppet, but these were taking two and still moving! In her shock Jenny didn't even react fast enough as one of the shadowy puppets manifested huge shadow claws and slashed at her! Leaving 3 stinging marks on her.

Before Jenny could recoup suddenly the second puppets crashed into her, it's hands breaking apart into huge tendrils that coiled around the heroine, including her wings! The two would soon after crash down to the ground, with screeches and footsteps in the distance!

The moment of surprise proved to be Jenny's undoing as the first puppet swung its nasty claws and scored a hit causing the heroine to spin right into the oncoming grasp of the second shadow puppet. Thankfully the foliage broke their fall unfortantly the shadow puppet still had the girl in its grasp. Jenny struggled trying to stike the creature its body already torn by the blasts of her rifle its vile contents dripping onto the girl.

Other puppet lands near Jenny takes no hostile actions

The puppet on top of her indeed seeped hefty amounts of black ooze, but thankfully it seemed to disperse in black smog upon leaving the creature. Try as she might, the girl couldn't free her rifle for a proper riffle strike! The tentacles held her too tightly!

Suddenly, Jenny felt the black smog surround the heroine intent on seeping through her skin and into her! Jennys struggled and shut her mouth tightly praying not to breathe in whatever this thing was leaking, a distant sound of numerous tense string echoing out before disappearing.

Soon the second puppet landed nearby looking directly at her "Return what is ours!" "Riley! Where is she!" the creatures spoke in one whispering icy cold voice, sending chills down Jennys body, it was exactly the same voice just like the dorm creature that called Riley 'home'.

"I don't know where's she at." It wasn't a lie though she did know where the girl was going the creatures hadn't asked that. Jenny still struggled tying to get an unarmed strike in the creature was literally falling apart on her not to mention the other ones would close the gap soon.

S. Puppet #2 scares the puppets away.

"Then we shall take YOU!" one of the tentacles coiled around Jennys neck and tightened up attempting to suffocate the heroine! Jenny tried her best to break free, but these things were just of immense power, there was no way for Jenny to break free!

Thankfully the creatures seemed to be slowly falling apart, as the black smoke slowly seeped out of the broken puppets so did their flesh slowly drop off, revealing a network of dark energy running through them.

Not good but if Jenny could just hold on she might outlast the bastards. She had to remain calm and keep a level head clearly the creatures where far stronger than she but she couldn't give up now. Jenny struggled against her attacker striking it with her hands feet anything that could possibly damage the thing.

Jenny kept her presence of mind perfectly, these things were decaying right infront of her. She just need to hand on!!

Suddenly the darkness aura around the other sahdowy puppet disappeared as it crumbled on the spot. All the shadows likely seeped out of it and left the broken frame!

The sight reignited the heroine for the brief moment as she struggled to free on of her hands or feet! THERE! Thanks to the tentacle nature and her smooth skin Jenny somehow managed to free one of her legs!

With a mighty kick the quickly knocked the creature off her and finished it off one extra punch, landing it just as the shadows dispersed to sent the puppet head flying into some nearby fauna.

The heroine breathed deeply that sweet sweet air, that was close! That was too close! She quickly looked around only to note the rest of the puppets weren't coming for her, but were still wandering around the nature faculty. With the guardian gone, this place was free-reign for the foul beings once more.

Jenny breathed in the fresh air before gathering her stuff and making her way up to the balcony and out of the nature area trying to relax and popping a potion to get her back on her feet. It was close to damn close once she had calmed Jenny made her way to the dorm.

Easier said than done. While the balcony was completely safe, getting down unnoticed and slipping past the mess hall would be troublesome. She fired 4 shots in a completely desolate and silent location... infested with creatures who react to sounds. Yes, it was troublesome. Looking down from the balcony Jenny noted numerous more of the dark puppets wandering, though unlike the mindless ones these were scouting the halls. Hopefully Sir and Riley got past without incident...

Still she needed to catch up with them, but how. There was the usual exit via the mess hall, but with those things patroling there it would be a tight slip... as the girl thought about what to do best. She felt the wind pass her from the outside, the broken skylight letting some fresh air and sun inside.

Jenny not wanting to deal with another group of the shadow puppets just yet opted for the broken skylight. It would be tricky but she could manage it. Taking to the air once more Jenny carefully navigated the shards of glass not wanting to cut herself.

Jenny carefully flew up and noted quite a few sharp glass edges her wings might catch, still luckily enough there was one hole just wide enough for her to slip past.

The heroine flew up and looked around. The courtyard, both dorms and theatre on the palm of her hand. This place was crazy, just how much money went into building it? Even then, why keep it a secret.

Jenny slowly landed on a edge of the academy main building and looked to the girls dorm. Her companions should be somewhere near--

Suddenly Jenny noted a mass of puppets chasing someone! The girls heart sank as she turned to the sight. It was Riley! The girl was chased by atleast 20 puppets, thankfully none of them shadow. The heroine quickly got into position to swoop past, when a trash can nearby flipped over.

It was Sir! And he was fairly casually walking down the now cleared road, did Riley just offer herself as decoy for easy passage for the tiny golem? That didn't seem right. Then again what if it was exactly that....

Jenny looked at the scene it was doubtful that Sir would just ignore Riley's plight in fact the poor guy would have been shaking in his boots. Flitting down to Sir who was mostly likly Riley in disguise Jenny sighed. "He may be nearly indestructible but he scares easily Riley." If her hunch was wrong then Jenny would take to the air again providing fire support for the show girl.

"That's why I cleared the path." right infront of Sir the air shivered and Riley appeared, smirking proudly "The Nicus will chase after anything that moves, can make for quite a bit of entertainment really." she snickered mischieviously.

Indeed the decoy had attracted absolutely every single one of the puppets from around their path and led them away, making the way forward fairly care-free.

Riley eyes widened "You're hurt?!" the showgirl quickly looked to the 3 cuts Jenny received "How? Who?" before Jenny could even respond Sir was already flying around her getting some bandages around the wound. Though he didn't interupt the asnwer.

Jenny was surprised at Riley's sudden appearance feeling slightly ashamed at what she had thought had happened. "Oh this some of the shadow freaks tried to get me." Riley looked rather worried so she tried to hide the slight bruising around her neck. "They seemed to think I was holding you captive or some such. Told me that they were gonna take me instead of you if I didn't tell them where you where. But Im alright I showed the nasty buggers what for. Speaking of which." Jenny quickly reloaded the rifle while they walked to the dorm.

"Oh... so those things." Riley looked down thoughtfully "It will only get worse overtime. Please don't sacrifice yourself for me, there's no way out for me, but there is for you." she looked to Jenny briefly "Alright?"

Soon enough the bandages were in place, a comforting warmth coming off them, and Jenny was good to go! Her weapon reloaded and ready to roll. Though it was unfortunate her clothing didn't last quite as long, leaving her in the stylish black underwear Riley placed on her.

The trip was uneventful, though the destination was quite the sight. All the windows were barred off in a fairly civil manner and the main door was reinforced with fairly thick steel. A small lid, for sliding from inside was clear. As if trying to enter some sort of underground club...

"No worries Riley just stick with me and we should be good." Jenny looked at the imposing doors before her. Was this how the building was like? Or was this added latter. Jenny wasn't sure but went up to the doors to see if she could open them.

The door wouldn't budge and it was fairly clear by the patchwork THIS was most definedly not here by the original design "Here let me." Riley approached the door and looked around, before locking her eyes on Jennys sword "May I?"

With sword in hand she'd use the hilt to knock on the steel door loudly "Alice~ It's me Riley, can I come in?" the showgirl gave the sword back and stepped back a little bit.

Though ti was briefly silent some commotion soon enough echoed from behind the door as the lid slid open someone from the darkness looking to the girls "NO!" with that the lid closed... well shit.
