Jenny thought back wasn't one of the sisters stabbed? A shudder ran threw her best not temp fate on this one. Leaving the oddly gleaming Knife Jenny searched for any other doors or passage ways. If it was devoid Jenny would back track to the main entry.
Deciding it's best not to tempt fate, even if the blade demanded greater inspection. Jenny broke her gaze away from the object and looked around.
The kitchen was mid sized, barely a shell of it's former glory. Now taking a better look at the knives, forks and spoons ALL of them had beautiful ornate designs on them, almost as grand as the plates, atleast from what Jenny could tell from the bits and pieces she found.
Still looking around there was a way out to the porch here, also a archway to her right leading out of the Kitchen. She wasn't sure, but by logic it should lead back to the collidor the girl came in from.
Standing around the grime encrusted gleaming blade was an exceptionally unseasy feeling, making the girl either leave the kitchen as soon as possible or actually inspect it to perhaps silence the vile aura it's emiting.
Jenny looked at the crusted blade it didn't seem so evil more like a piece of junk. Though such things could carry the taint of evil with them she supposed. She was no priest nor mage and such things where beyond her understanding. Though if it was cursed how come the church didn't purge it when they raided the manor? Still it was worth investigating as in looking at she wouldn't dare touch the thing.
Jenny's eyed the blade curiously it did seem oddly out of place. The blade gleamed exceptionally, it seemed to be oddly polsihed beaneath all the grime that covered it... and to leave something just like this why didn't anyone move it. As if a moth drawn to a fire, Jenny couldn't help but feel the urge to pick up.
Still while she eyed the blade, a cold chill ran down her spine as she noted blood starting to slowly build up where the blades edge was lodged. At first it was slow, but the pressure quickly built up as the table was soon covered by the foreign liquid. The blade twitched lightly in it's place, dark energies starting to swirl around it "nick... stop! please... don't...!!"
Before Jenny could really react, unless she got to running for dear life the moment she saw red. The blood quickly followed up the dark energies and formed up the ghost in the elegant red dress... it's distorted figure and face eyed Jenny before screeching out in rage! It's hands transforming into the scythes Jenny knew all too well...
Well the appearance of the apparition was more than enough to prove to Jenny the knife was cursed to bad she had no idea what to do with it. Still Jenny tried to stay calm. The reaper as Jenny had been starting to call it screamed at her she hopped this was to warn her away at which Jenny complied but not the full on flight she had earlier. Hopefully the reaper didn't follow her back to the main hall if it did she would leave having worn out her welcome.
Actions:
Withdraw from kitchen protecting her self from attack. (no attacks fighting defensivly)

Unfortunately, she was only partly right. The reaver didn't want her nowhere near the blade, but now that it was disturbed at the epicentre of it's suffering the ghost was enraged.
Jenny attempted to peacefully get out, but the ghost quickly cut her exit off using it's ethereal body to pass through the walls and place itself infront of Jenny. It's eyes ablaze in burning rage, vengeful spirits are nothing to triffled with especially if one doesn't know who or why these spirits linger.
The peasant girl froze at the horror as the spirit just floated infront of her silently, but she couldn't mistake it for anything else. It wasn't inspecting the girl, it was just waiting to end her! The thought of just running through the ghost did cross the girls mind, but she could only be reminded of the reptilians creatures fate. She'd be running right on those dreadful scythes!
The silent whispers that were unaudible were flatout screaming in her head now... was this how horrible it can be to mess with supernatural forces?! Still a single clear name rang out, unlike the whispers of suffering... this was the librarians voice deep in her memory "These are the memoirs of Francikus D."
"Nina please be calm I only want to help. Nina Brensly I did not hurt you I only want to help." Hopefully Franklin wasn't talking out his ass and doubly hopefully she had the right person name to call the ghost.
The fury reaver quickly lowered it's scytches, the flame in her eyes dieing out leaving them only black and empty "You... you are not Nick..." the ghosts voice was heavily distorted barely understandable much less, recogniseable "DON'T LET HIM KILL ME! NO! NO!!" the ghost quickly turned around and dived down through the floor it's cries echoing throughout the manor.
Jenny could catch her breath, the journal did not lie. Recognising the ghost by name seemed to calm it... she was free to explore without danger for the time being.
The girl stood at the very end of the entrance hallway a door to her left leading off to some room, infront of her closer was the room the reptilian creature met it's demise and the exit. On her right though there seemed to be another door she missed.
"Thank Naya" also thankfully Jenny's bladder had already emptied itself from before no doubt she would have soiled herself again. "The thought of leaving came to mind but she quickly banished it. Calming herself once more Jenny checked the door she had missed."
The door was placed almsot directly under the stairway and judging by the small room it had it was either a stairway down to the basement or a storage room. Whatever the case it would remain a mystery as the door seemed to be locked and faint shiver surrounding it. Likely whatever lied inside was locked behind a magic lock. For now Jenny could not enter, even if she tried to shootout the lock.
Looking back into the hallway there were 2 more doors to her right the door leading to where the reptilian was eviscerated and to the left, from this angle seemed to be a study... it was hard to tell from this distance, but with half of the door missing she could see inside.
Magically locked well that was one way to keep her out. Still best to at lest peak into the study before heading in though she wasn't so sure how effective it would be considering ghosts just go where they want anyway.
Jenny carefully approached the study and peeked inside, the dead silence from before was back. No matter how Jenny tried to spot anythign out, hear any odd sound there was nothing. Judging its safe to enter Jenny slowly went inside.
Most of the room was black from the fire and any books that once litered the shelves served only to fuel the flames. An blackened reading table was also stationed here with two seats on either side, chances were the girls studied here together, not much unlike Jenny used to spent her time with Lina. A warm memory of the past floated past Jennys thoughts. A cold breeze from the broken window here quickly getting her back in the moment, there was hardly anything of note or use here. There was a door leadin elsewhere, but just as Jenny was about to decided whether to inspect ir not a clear sobbing came from behind the door.
Oh no more spirits of the manor no doubt though this one was crying. Heading near the door but staying close to the reading table Jenny decided to call out. "Becky Brensley is that you? I came to help. What can I do to help you?" She spoke and then prayed that this spirit was not as hostile as her sister.
Entering the room this seemed to be a substantial bathroom once. The stall and sink very much in place, the granite designs not suffering too much from the fire, the floor though was absolutely black from the fire. The sobs however did not come from this room, it came from deeper still there was an elaborate archway on the side and quite a decent amount of liquid coming from whatever the other rooms was.
even with her calling out to the ghost there was no response, just continious sobbing tugging at the girls heart. Such a sad cry... If Jenny chose to inspect further she see a hot-tub filled with water and seemingly the source of the sobbing. No ghost in-sight.... however the sobs would increase in volume the longer Jenny lingered here.
Grief in Jenny's mind was often more potent than anger as anger could calm and evaporate while grief just got deeper. "Becky Brensley how can I help I just want to help." If her words where left unanswered Jenny would leave to explore the other rooms of the house.
Sensing this was a far different ghost than the one she encountered previously Jenny once more called out to the spirit... still to no answer. Though the bath water continued to emit the sad sob, almost calling out to Jenny to touch it. Whether she did so was all up to her...
If Jenny touches the water:
Jenny leaned down and slowly submerged her hand into the water. Nothing... she breathed a sigh of relief, when a sudden silence dropped down. The sobs stopped, but Jenny could suddenly feel someone take her hand the skin being rough almost rubbery and gooey.
A bright flash ran through the girls mind as memory got imprinted in the girls mind. Becky ran for dear life as the loud screams of the villagers surrounded the house and first signs of fire started popping up. Why did they come here? What could she have possibly done to deserve such hate. The rallying vile shouts echoed from outside "Burn the witch!" "Burn the scum from our land!" tears formed in the girls eyes, she never did anything. She was just living here alone with her grief over her lost sister, why must she suffer more! So much hate around her!
The flames started creeping into and around the first floor the girl barely had anywhere to run! Water! She needed to find water it would protect her from the flames! The girl dashed past the stairs, through the study... the flames at her heels and quickly jumped into the hottub letting in some cold water. Streams of tears ran down her face, first she lost Nina and now all this hate. Why? She only wanted to help them, why would they do this! The girl couldn't contain her sobbing as the flames closed in around her, closing off the girl in the tub "NINA! NINA!" her sister always protected, always saved her. Where was she now?... the flames quickly burned away at the air as the smoke filled the girls lungs, she died crying in the boiling water. Her last breath that of grief and sorrow...
Jenny quickly lunged back from the memory...
The cries suddenly increased in volume as the door to the study closed shut! Jenny needed to get out as the sobs became so loud it was getting painful both in spirit and to her ears! The peasant girl tried to open the door, but it would not budge.
The air rapidly started heating up and Jenny could notice she had big trouble breathing! The sobs ringing through her ears! This was no time to try to talk, she needed to get out ASAP!
Jenny coughed and choked on the insubstantial smoke. "Becky Brensley Nina wants me to help I can't help if your choking me." Hopefully the ploy worked if not then she would have to bust her way out or try to drain the tub to rid herself of the spirit though she doubted this would work.
Jenny could barely hear herself talk or think anymore as the cries entered her mind. Whatever her ploy was it did absolutely nothing as the got more and more rare,heat building up.
The girl turned to what she thought was a window, but it had disappeared under a wall of shadows absolutely impassable for her. The heroine coughed some more, it was getting more and more impossible to breath, soon she'd have to start holding her breath to survive! Jenny decided whatever she was going to do she better do it now! Obviously the ghost was not listening.
The door it was weakened by fire there is no way it should hold out against her. Running full tilt Jenny slammed her self into the door possessed or not it shouldn't hold out against that.
Jenny needed to get out and she knew it! Runnign full-tilt into the door Jenny rammed it with her shoulder so of it's pieces flying off, but not to much different effect!
The air was really rare now, Jenny had trouble not coughing, not to mention breath properly! The cries continue to assault her mind, why won't they stop and how they can the sobs be so loud! So much pain was locked inside these rooms...
