Well for people interested in tools, I'm currently (hoping more-or-less) that I'll be releasing a proper version of RPGMaker Trans VX some time in April. There's still some ways to go before it's ready for public consumption. As 2k games were mentioned, I'll point out that RPGMaker Trans does already support 2k games - albeit that's somewhat off topic.

Also I may as well announce that I am actually (slowly) working on a translation of this game as well. I mean no disrespect to Monkeyman on this, but... well, more choice is better, right? Also, as one of the few people on this forum who is highly anti-piracy, I really can't condone Monkeymans distribution methods... and I seem to remember the older translation - which Monkeyman has used as a starting point - being somewhat bland as well (though I may be confusing it with something else...)

funny you mention that, to save time uploading I was probably gonna only release the data files for this one, not the whole game so people would still actually have to own it in some form or another.

Yeah, I'm just using it as a starting point really, I've ended up re-writing a lot of it because of different names/ common events that change things down the line etc.

Huh.. didn't know that. Of course, that means you're trusting end users to be able to decrypt the game and remember to delete the Game.rgss2a file afterwards. In my experience (cynical rant warning), trusting end users to do anything is normally a bad idea (hence why the beta VX patcher used for Lilium Union is a simple double-click-exe-done job). But yeah, at the very least it's not encouraging people to pirate the game...

That's actually exactly the reason I DIDN'T do that with Saki Quest, but this game is substantially bigger than SQ and I get an upload speed of about 30 kb/s so it's probably easier just to do it this way for now.

It might sound like a cop out, but I'm not a huge fan of pirating either, if I love a game I generally do my best to buy it but sometimes that really is just impossible for me :/

after reading the thread more carefully it seems that requesting this is not allowed. Could I maybe request the name of the rar or zip file so I at least have something to throw into google? Just searching for the translated version alone doesn't kick back any results for the game.

I know this is probably not the most ideal avenue to ask this, but I'm quite confused as where it actually should be asked;
Does anyone else know any games like this? Preferably mainly human x human like this one was. I tried Saki Quest but monster x female isn't really my taste.

It won't be a patch, I'll just be releasing the game in full. Patches only result in people using old versions asking for help etc, which I don't mind but I could have already fixed it that kinda thing.

It's not done yet, but yes, when it's finished it will hopefully be 100% complete.

Much as I'd love to finish it soon too, it's bloody massive. Finishing the hospital events alone took about a full day.

God only knows, about 70% maybe. Some of the first town was done but I had to re-do it because it didn't fit well with my translation and was very jarring.

the battle system also had to be redone because most of the skills didn't have descriptions.
