Re: Vitamin Quest (びたみんクエスト)

@Daioh Hi ho, I'm waiting for the proofreader to send me back the proofread data, it will take about 2 weeks, it seems. Meanwhile I can't make changes in the game, or I would lose the new changes when I replace my data for the proofread one. Too bad =[

So meanwhile I'm working on others projects, like the doujins and the translation of another rpg maker game - Orc Strike.

@Drix
If you're that guy with a white turban on the head, he is locked in the prison of the city. You need to get the keys with the guard with beard (in the same city), for that Mikami need to "do it" with that guard about 3 or 4 times.

Then she goes to the prisoner cell, talk to him (I guess she needs to be pregnant, I don't remember), and in the middle of the scene she will have two options: 1. continue the scene 2. stop.

Continuing the scene will make it possible to see the scenes with the prisoner. And Mikami will be able to be violated by Big Orcs even while she is pregnant (otherwise she usually runs).

Choosing to stop will unlock some bonus. One of the bonuses is a H-scene with Shi, the nun\sister. I don't know if there are other bonuses yet.

Already have the prisoner As you can see he is on the right.

What I'm looking for is the NPC for the bottom display, if he exists.

Oh, I see. He is the guy in the bar of the town. He will disappear after you beat the first boss, but he will appear again after you beat the second boss. The bar is the first building, east part of town.

All present are already unlocked including the bar guy.

The only guy not unlocked is at the bottom and is not displayed.

Sorry, you mean that botton event below the bar guy, right? I didn't notice that event before =]
He is Mikami's own son. To unlock it Mikami needs to:
1. give birth to at least 3 babies from the kid inside a house in the first town (tony).
2. build a strong relationship with the same boy (8+ points)
3. check the bookshelf in his room.

Then another boy will appear in the next room. He is Tony and Mikami's son.

For those unaware, a game called Drop Factory which is by the same guy and very similar style. It is a farm simulator and, uh, porno movie making simulator with breeding and battlefucking in the VQ style

Re: Vitamin Quest (びたみんクエスト)

I loved this game and Drop Factory! I like the art a lot, i like "the hunt", it's not so simple as "just progress through the game and you'll unlock all the cg", but it's not so complicated that you can't find your way around without knowing japanese or need to play it more than once to get all CG. The themes are very nice too. I like how the main characters have this easygoing attitude but a raunchy side. Especially the main character from Drop Factory, who starts kind of innocent and gets raunchy progressively. Also i like a LOT that it's a GoR game that doesn't penalize you too much for losing. (almost none)

Anyways...similar games recommendations? I just finished Magica once (Dark goddess ending), and don't feel like playing again from the beginning to get more CGs...I really don't understand why, in a H-Game, you should feel like having sex, etc, it's bad.

so it would be more appropriate if the main character of a normal game is getting the need to have sex frequently but can't fulfill his desires because it's not a h-game? :confused:
this would be one of the most hillarious games ever. main character always complaining he's not allowed to have sex, because he was designed as a normal game character.

Re: Vitamin Quest (びたみんクエスト)

Yes, it would be. xD

But i didn't mean it that way. In a normal game, a character can have sex, but since it's not the main attraction of the game, the sex scenes are very rare, and most of the time it happens "outside camera".

The main attraction of a H-Game, it's the H. In Magica, everything sex related lowers your sanity, and you need max sanity to get some cgs and one ending. Nothing can raise your sanity. So, basically, go through all the game without doing anything "fun", and then play it again doing "fun" stuff. In a short game like JSK studio games, sure...in a RPG...not so much. Or GoR games where it's annoying getting a game over and/or losing not always means getting CGs and/or is not clear when losing will get you CGs. So, in the end, it feels like a H-Game punishing you for wanting to see some H.

I understand there are game themes where you can't just shrug off losing and keep playing because, well, you died during/after the rape, or something like that, but then make the game easy to pick up again, like save anywhere or short levels, something like that. I think it's great people wanting to make h-game with more than just CGs thrown at you, but you have to make that stuff (gameplay, story, etc) work around the main thing. Hence, why i like Vitamin Quest and Drop Factory so much, and i hope there are similar games out there :D

@MajinLuffy
I agree completely with you.
It's okay to have a heroine who needs to kill the monsters and avoid them. But there are some games where all you have to do (and MUST to do) is that. In some plataform games for example, you need to play all the levels without touching the monsters. And in the end of the game turns out that you didn't see any h-stuff. This because if the monsters touches you is game over and you need to start all over again... So you need to play the game like dozens of times, of for each monster to catch the girl. The main objective (see H stuff) and the gameplay are completely contradictory like you said.

About suggestions, I don't know many rpg games, but there is this game I like and I'm translating, called Orc Strike. I posted a link with the partial translation in its thread. I like it because the objective of the game is to invade cities and hunt the h-scenes, no penalties for that =].

@otashe
The C-phone guys that I know so far (I haven't played so I can't be sure) are located in:
- Ontato City Inn
- Ontato City Flats, 4th floor
- Inside a cave located in the road between Ontato and Konseko (the cave's door will open when the time comes)
- Backalley in Ontato (once in the city, go east where you couldn't go before)

Only thing I disagree with you on is the "main objective" part. The main objective is made by the dev NOT the players. You guys strongly forget that there's mainly 3 types of H games: Ones that focus on the hentai, ones that focus on the gaming aspect and offers hentai, and ones that strike a balance between gaming and hentai. The different ones depends on the story and character the dev is trying to promote.

It's not a contradiction because the ones who forced that opinion of "main objective" is you....not the dev. Every hentai game has it's place and it's fans that like it. Some feel that making the H scenes on lost will ease the blow of losing. Others want you to actually enjoy the gaming aspect so offer the H as a side dish. And then there's some that just go "just screw everything Wooo~" and the game is a giant sex fest. Play what you like, don't play what you don't like, but don't mistaken what the "main objective" is.

Re: Vitamin Quest (びたみんクエスト)

@KHTA True. But there are also some cases where the "main objective" by the developer clearly is to show the h-scenes, for example games where the developer spent 99% of the time drawing h-scenes and 1% with a very poor gameplay, and this contradiction exists. Even if the objective of the develover is to make it difficult to the player to see the h-scenes, it still is a contradiction when you think of:
- the amount of work the devs had to make the scenes.
- the poor gameplay that some of these games have.
- the fact that the game usually is made by the devs but for the fans, and the number of fans is important when trying to sell.

Well, anyway, what you said applies very well in some h or ecchi games where the gameplay is very well done and independent of the h-stuff.

Re: Vitamin Quest (びたみんクエスト)

Exactly. I browse Getchu to see which games are not heavy in the H department and stay away from them. I'm talking about H-Games that sells you the image that the focus is it's H, and how they have tons of it. And it probably has a ton of H content, the problem is how they present it to you. Instead of as a reward, is more like "punishment". I doubt there are many people who sees getting H-Cgs when losing and having to do a lot again to get where you were as a "oh well, at least is something". One of the reasons we play a h-game, where the H is the focus, is to hunt the CG. Good non GoR example? Mighty My Master. Good GoR example? This game. And it's not just because losing is not actually game over. The gameplay is good.

Btw, i tried the Orc Strike demo...the concept looks interesting, but didn't like the art too much. Seems like too many lolis, not fan of that. And it doesn't seem to have a way of seeing the CG without seeing the whole scene and the annoying text box. And looks quite time consuming, which it wouldn't be a problem except for all the things i just mentioned xD

Any other games like Vitamin Quest out there? :D

Ahh I see nothing wrong feeling that. However you two are just not great at getting the point across (btw with the clarification I agree with you Ramza). You generalize far too much and instead of saying "H games that shows there's a lot of H" simply say "H games."

Also, please keep your opinions to a personal level. "I doubt many people ect." Don't talk for others, just yourself. This point alone is wrong for the many people who were active in the Game Over Rape thread that use to flourish on hongfire and that lead to the RPG Maker thread there and here as well. I for one think "Sweet got a CG" upon losing cause I know to save my process often and to expect that starting over is natural. "One of the reasons we play a H focused game is to hunt CG" of course it is, and I personally have no problems doing so even at the cost of having to backtrack a bit on my progress...as I said, it's only natural in a GOR game. The games you're looking for is RoL which constantly get generalized with GOR.

It was my personal opinion, i wasn't stating that most people think that way, i was saying i thought that was the case...personal opinion :D. But, yes, i think you are right. I didn't even know RoL was a genre, first time i read about it, and i think i always find that kind of game in GoR threads. I can take GoR as long as i can save whenever i want, so any backtracking i have to do (which i really hate) is my fault.

I guess i'll cross fingers and hope Butakoma300 makes more games. He said he wouldn't, but hey!, there's Drop Factory, it's awesome, and it's free :D

Funny thing is after VQ and his announcement that he'll stick to CG....we got Drop Factory. So I'm sure in the future we'll see more.

The English patch has been deleted. :(

EDIT: Nevermind, I refreshed the page a few times and it worked. The site must be getting a lot of traffic or something.
