Re: Tentacle Lair Escape: Apocalypse

And ... What about we wait the answer of Serifyn ? It's his CYOA, he'll have the last argument (and if we dislike his path, we can quit).

We don't need silly and useless fights.
Always cracks me up when someone runs in to "end the fight" after the "fight" (if you can even call it that) is already over... reading comprehension 2/10

And awaaaaay

Re: Tentacle Lair Escape: Apocalypse

There is a balance which needs to be maintained when it comes to Ella, What we know about her is that she resents tentacles, has killed hundreds of them (including overlords) and under no circumstance would accept assistance from them if she didn't absolutely have to (she, or we make a choice to accept Olivia's 'help' earlier), given her present situation.

In writing the story on Ella, who by all accounts is the sole hope for humanity, she cannot be defeated over and over again because otherwise she could simply look like a loser who has no chance at victory, but at the same time, in what i would like to consider a 'Tentacle Rape' CYOA at its core, it must be expected that she would encountered situations which are out of her hands, especially given the fact that she has entered a new place unarmed and outmatched (black and green have teamed up).

the Dialogue between Ella and practically everyone will continue, the choices that you make will become more difficult as you do.

-----

In Regards to the Story in Overlord, you've got to understand that when a story is originally created by me to act as the seeing, that is all i have to go with as i advance through the story.

Whatever choices are make throughout the entire story will inevitably escalate into the ending, the same goes for this CYOA, although i have a better idea of direction in this one going forward.

In Overlord, you decided that you were a blue tentacle, you decided to make Olivia your princess, you decided to save Xozz, to go to the compound and to ultimately to save Amanda rather than tearing the place apart and finding Xozz to end it for good.

The Ending was confusing and might have looked forced at the last minute, i understand that, but from a continuation standpoint, it would have taken far too long to wrap up every loose end in every way, and frankly, the story was wearing on me.

Olivia becomes the main character and her attitude shapes not only the story, but the world as well, her decisions have created the red tentacle race, allowed Xozz to survive and allowed the blue tentacles to migrate into the southern places.

However, although Olivia was in the story considered a 'Tentacle creature', she was more like a human when i wrote her scenes, this obviously wore on me, as i didnt want the story to become what was quickly becoming a Futa CYOA.

Xozz becoming a bad guy was a lesson of consequence, allowing the player to look back and trace their decisions back to when this all became possible, that decision made on the beach. In many ways im not ashamed of this turn of events, Xozz was with you for so long, observing you, he was as he admit during his story, not a servant to one race of tentacles in particular, which made you question his motives.

Xozz had been without a master for several hundreds of years, he was free to make his own choices, bound as any fictional machine would be to a code which had been implemented into his original programming, to help the tentacles.

As any intelligent machine eventually would, he creates a situation where he can betray his current overlord for the betterment of the species as a whole, it is that kind of brutal and calculated mindset that allows for Xozz to become an unexpected villain at the end of Overlord .

There are several things in Overlord i would have liked to have done better, alot of unanswered questions occur that i tried to address, but even as i wrote the answers myself i thought that the explanation didnt fully address the reasons how and why.

Overlord was the second time ive done a CYOA, the first time was TLE which was fairly simple and straightforward. This entire series has been an exploration of my writing ability and the tentacle genre, so hopefully whatever errors i make while writing my previous CYOAs and this one will serve as a lesson to help me to do better in my future efforts.

Re: Tentacle Lair Escape: Apocalypse

(D)

Ella gently pushes Zoey back, releasing herself from her delicate grasp as she steps forward on the alter.

"All this for me?" Ella said quietly to the two menacing women before her.

"You've been a thorn in our side long enough, Hopebringer" Rachel responds, her feet still walking slowly up the aisle as she clicks her Staff against the stony surface.

"Im going to have alot of fun with you" Sarah said as she tightened the length of her whip between her hands, flashing a sinister smile from behind Rachel.

Ella looked in her hands, her ruined brass candlestick wasent going to be much of a match against a princess like Sarah, let alone a Queen like this other woman.

Rachel stopped in her tracks at the base of the alter, clicking her staff down once more as she stood it up against the base of the floor.

"It must have been some adventure, fighting your way through tentacles you're entire life, running from what would inevitably be your final humiliating defeat, im sure it will give you fond memories to recall for as long as you can still think about something other than tentacles being forced inside of you" Rachel said calmly, in no apparent rush to apprehend you.

"For as long as i live ill fight you, i dont care how much you torment me, ill fight on....ill win" Ella said as she grit her teeth and rose her pathetic weapon into a defensive position.

"Stand down Ella, it is hopeless, i do not wish to harm you, you must simply be taken once and for all" Rachel said

"You know my name?" Ella said in response, glaring from behind the raising weapon in front of her face.

"I know everything about you, Ella Carter" Rachel said, raising her staff to her hands

"How" Ella said, looking around quickly for any chance of an exit while this conversation went on.

"You're mother, of course" Rachel said as her lips rose into a sinister smile

Ella's heart sank "My mother...."

"We've had her for years, she has given birth to several of our offspring, i would reunite you with her....if you come peacefully"

Ella's guard dropped for a second, a tear escaped her eye and she dropped her stance for a quick second ".......................No"

Rachel looked up at the alter, seeing the rage boiling up in Ella's eyes.

Ella raised her weapon again, her eyes filled with burning rage, she clinched her teeth and stood firm. "I will kill your masters one by one, slicing through them as mercilessly as they did to us during the apocalypse, when they are dead and gone, you will know my wrath as well, witch"

"You bore me" Rachel said, Raising her staff high into the air, it's drop to be a signal for the tentacles all around them to converge on Ella.

A ray of light pierced through the dusty strained glass of the church from the left, shining through and blinding Sarah and Zoey as they looked over, Ella and Rachel's eyes were locked on each other.

From above, a loud crack gave way to a holy light which shined through the roof of the church and descended onto Ella.

Ella looked frightened at first as the beam of light enveloped her body, making her feel calm, Rachel simply looked on, in awe of the heavenly light which glowed from above.

"What is this?" Rachel said taking a step backwards.

Ella's eyes closed and opened, her irises filled with not only the previous rage, but burning with confidence and power.

She looked over at her arm to see that the pathetic brass candlestick holder in her arm had been transformed into a resplendent golden Warhammer.

The light slowly faded from above, drawing back into the crevice the light had broken through from, Ella's skin still held the light upon it as she rose her warhammer and screamed loudly, jumping from the alter and bringing the hammer down to where Rachel stood.

Rachel jumped back just in time, the stony floor of the churched sundered by the mighty blow of the heavenly weapon which Ella wielded.

Rachel quickly clicked the tentacle staff down to the ground, signalling the attack...

From every side, the tentacles attacked, from the front, the rear and the sides, each tentacle was met with a mighty swing of Ella's weapon, connecting with furious force which sent the creatures flying backwards, their tentacle flesh seared by the touch of the weapon which caused them to reel in pain.

The weapon cut through the creatures like butter, even though it was a warhammer and not a sword, it's power split the creatures like they were nothing, causing a messy finish to the unfortunate creatures which took on a direct hit.

Tentacle Slime sprayed from the creatures as they fell to the ground lifelessly, their slime covered Ella's body, and in a few moments, all that was left was Ella, hammer in hand, surrounded by the mutilated corpses of tentacles all around her, as she knelt down, hammer down on the last unfortunate tentacle creature around them.

Ella rose slowly, raising her eyes to Rachel and Sarah behind her, the fire still burning bright within her rage-filled eyes.

"Impossible!" Rachel said as she stood a few more steps back, holding her staff in front of her

"Where is your lair?"

"I'll never tell you" Rachel said.

Ella Grit her teeth and jumped up, brought her hammer down upon Rachel's Tentacle staff, which broken in half between her hands, the tentacles on the end squirmed and writhed as slime leaked from between the two ends of the staff.

"Where is your lair?" Ella asked again

"Stop! Please!" A voice called from behind

Zoey ran up from behind putting her small body between Ella, Sarah and Rachel, who were terrified and defeated.

"Ill show you! please dont hurt them!" Zoey pleaded to you, with tears in her eyes.

"These creatures are monsters.......they should be dealt with" Ella said, calming down slightly.

"No, they are human, just like you and i!" Zoey said, as her voice was broken slightly by the emotions she was displaying.

Zoey was visibly upset, the tears were streaming down her face as she talked to you, she was clearly extremely saddened by something, but what? you had only killed the tentacle creatures which had attacked you.

"Let them go, take me.....ill show you where the lair is....ill bring you to our overlord.."

"Zoey, you cant!" Sarah yelled to her, clearly concerned for the safety of her overlord now.

"It is the only way Sarah...." Zoey said as she wiped away more tears from her face.

Rachel just laid on the floor, continuing to stare Ella in the eyes, her face was pale with fear, she had never seen anything like that before.

What do you do?

A. Accept Zoey's help, release Sarah and Rachel and go to the nearby Tentacle lair.

B. Sarah and Rachel may be human, but they are your enemies, kill them and find the lair by yourself.

C. Decline Zoey's help and let Sarah and Rachel go, find the lair by yourself.

Re: Tentacle Lair Escape: Apocalypse

We've got (for now) a magic hammer. Time to kick some ass before it runs out and we get raped hard. But killing the women might hurt our reputation, even if they deserve it. And it's not like they (including zoey) could make things more dire then "lead me to the tentacle lair so that I can attack it" assuming we get going quickly. So A.

Re: Tentacle Lair Escape: Apocalypse

you are correct in assuming that this amazing holy Warhammer type weapon is temporary...but how temporary, how did it transform from a useless brass candlestick holder to a weapon of unbelievable power? Are greater forces at work here? and if so..what are they? how can they be called on again?

These are questions Ella will undoubtedly ask herself once she has the opportunity to do so.

Re: Tentacle Lair Escape: Apocalypse

I have an idea where it might of came from and sure it will go poof at the worst possible time, and this most curtainly will not go well but will probly have to go with the flow and go with A since we may never find it without her help, of course, not finding it quickly might keep us out of a lair when the hammer does go

Re: Tentacle Lair Escape: Apocalypse

Lets get some things straight, we currently have a holy weapon, but have no idea how long this will last, the circumstances make it very risky to take this thing out of the church (lets face it, chances are it won't last long outside of it, taking this thing for granted is a huge risk)

What exactly do we aim to do and how would we accomplish that if we just left our enemies to strike at us at a later time, why should we trust a woman that is obviously so corrupted that she deeply cares for her assailants.

Also take note of the "loner" nature of the character, she supposedly prefers going it alone and not having others weigh her down, yet she will spare two of her most hated enemies for the sake of a dubious companion leading the way?Seeing the vast majority of current votes being A is something I find difficult to understand (well I suppose you might be intentionally setting her up for failure...)

Anyway, B

Are they tentacles or are they misguided humans who need your mercy and salvation?

Re: Tentacle Lair Escape: Apocalypse

Well considering how attached the princesses and queens have been to their overlords and the tentacle of their colour in this CYOA series.. Leaving them alive wouldn't do much good.
But killing them might not even slow down the overlords and the like as the connection probably isn't two wayd unlike the blues

So whenever we leave them alive or not is unlikely to effect the outcome.
Unless.. plot twists.

Re: Tentacle Lair Escape: Apocalypse

I'll say D.

We break their legs with the hammer. After that, we torture them 'til they tell us where is the lair. It's not fair but it's not a fair world : you've seen almost all of you the excellent GoT (Game of Throne) ? It's the quite the same shit. You kill or you die.

Re: Tentacle Lair Escape: Apocalypse

I really doubt someone who is both a loner and avid hater of tentacles would give anyone or anything that is associated with them a chance at redemption.

She evidently cares little for her fellow mankind (loner), I'd imagine much less so when they're overtly helping her hated enemies. Hell, one of them stuck an egg up her arse while constantly taunting her and another then replaced that with an egg up her cunt in a rather deceptive turn of events, I would find it nothing short of amazing if she can spare any sympathy after that.
