Jessica looked fairly disturbed at that proposition, and had to take a moment to collect herself. "I... guess. If that's so, we should probably sleep... in the labyrinth. Better than sleeping out in the open ocean... There might be sharks or something" she said, shivering at the last bit. "Let's go try to find somewhere..."

"Well, sleep well, then." Miller says, echoed by Willow. Anne follows Jessica into the labyrinth and the pair swims into the labyrinth and down to the cellar. Trying to sleep in the warm water feels surprisingly natural, and soon both Anne and Jessica are asleep.

Images of Mierin haunt Jessica's sleep, and she almost wakes up several times when the song reaches her in her dreams. It's hard to tell what time it is, but eventually Jessica wakes as Anne starts moving around and turns light on.

With a nervous wave Jessica turned and swam back into the labyrinth, down to the cellar where the well had once been. There she settled into one of the alcoves to sleep. The water seemed strangely warm, and she felt quite natural just floating a bit in the water, feeling the slight movements in it as she drifted off to sleep.

The new mermaid dreamt quite intensely of Mierin in her sleep, and especially of the song she had sung. Eventually she woke up, a little bit uneasy after the dream. Anne stirred at about the same time, moving to get the light from her gear. "Let's go back to meet with the others. Maybe if they inspect the room we were in they can figure something out" she said, blinking a few times and getting together her gear.

Anne lets out a yawn. "Sure. I don't know about you, but I'm hungry."

As Jessica and Anne get to the surface, they can see sun rising from the horizon. Willow and Miller seem to be already up and cooking breakfast. "Good morning you two. Did you, um, sleep well?"

"Now that you mention it, so am I" Jessica said, her stomach growling quietly as Anne yawned. The two swam out of the labyrinth quickly, noting that the sun was just rising as they got to the surface. The other two were already awake as well, and cooking breakfast. "Actually, not really... I had a weird dream, and I don't feel quite rested."

Willow brings a tray to Jessica and Anne: it has toast, porridge and some fruits, with fresh water to go with. Anne starts eating with good appetite, and Willow and Miller sit and eat around the table.

Jessica took the tray when offered, munching on the toast as she watched Willow and Miller eat at the table. She wished she could join them. Still, the food wasn't bad, even the porridge, which was something she had never really enjoyed. Once she was done she swam up to set the tray on the sand, then swam away to watch them. She didn't want to rush them, but she was eager to start.

The others finish their breakfast and quickly get ready for the dive. Strangely, Jessica can still hear the echoes of the song from her dreams, as if someone was calling for her from far away.

Jessica watched as the others finished up their breakfast and prepared for the dive. All the while she could hear the song from her dream, and she began to look around, wondering if Mierin was nearby, but it was almost certainly just in her head... This is weird... I wonder if it means something.

There's no sign of Mierin that Jessica can see, and after a while the song dies away. Willow and Miller quickly put their wetsuits on and get into the water.

The song died away as Miller and Willow put on their wetsuits, leaving Jessica to wonder if it was all in her head or if there was really something going on. When they were ready she decided she would lead them to the grave site where she and Anne had been turned into mermaids, hoping Miller would be able to figure something out.

The others follow Jessica, and when Jessica stops, Willow and Miller look around nervously. There's no sign of the zombie other than some bone fragments of which Willow takes a few samples. Meanwhile, Anne and Miller go to the room with the coffins. There are no more corpses and as Miller starts studying one of the statues, nothing happens.

As Miller and Willow look around the small room nervously, the assistant taking samples of the remaining zombie bone fragments, Jessica explained "this is the room where... the zombie... raped us." She follows Anne and Miller into the room with the coffins, and watched as the doctor began studying one of the statues. "When Anne touched one of those last time, that was when the zombies started attacking. I assume there's something special and magical about them, but I don't know... This might actually be the result of something else entirely. I keep hearing a song in my head, one the mermaid I met earlier was singing."

Miller nods and starts taking one of the statues as well as some of the jewels back with Willow, no doubt to study them better.

Seeing Miller store a statue and some jewels for later study, Jessica decided to show them to the other areas she had explored that they hadn't seen. The room she had met Mierin in, the one where she had fought and been raped by the ball of men, and then if they didn't find anything of interest to lead them back to the big stone door that she had found early on, to see if there were a way of opening it.

As Jessica leads the others to the room where Mierin was, they look around in wonderment. When they arrive to the mostly-dry room where the bodysphere was, Willow and Miller get up to sit on the edge of the stairs and take their masks off. "Can you tell us more about this mermaid you met?" Anne asks, her voice almost trembling.

"Um, well... When I met her she was encased in a coffin of ice. I touched it, and the ice started to transfer over to me before the mermaid woke up and it all melted. She spoke some weird language, it sounded vaguely like Latin, and I brought her out to the beach to meet you guys. She just sang a really sad song that keeps popping up in my head, and then left when you showed up. She was really beautiful, too..." Jessica replied, telling them all she knew about the mermaid.

"Well, she just sort of swam off into the open ocean... I don't know how I'd find her again" Jessica said sadly, frowning. "She might be able to help, but then we don't even speak the same language. Unless I suddenly learned it by transforming... So I don't know what to do."
