The door unsurprisingly proves to be locked, though there's no sign of a way to open it at least from the outside. The door is decorated with an elaborate image of a jackal.

O no you fucking dont. Helena muttered, glaring at the door before looking at Jasmine, her hands wreathed in frost. Time to crack it the hard way, if they wanted to keep us out, they should have used a less conductive metal. Helena said, starting to rapidly cool the door, her hands pressed against the metal as she dumped cold into it, waiting until the temp was as low as she could possibly get it, before backing up to let Jasmine do the honors of bombing the door to hell and back.

The door is soon cooling the entire hallway, and the bronze cracks when Jasmine hits it with a burst of fire, causing a large rift to appear. Another push opens the door, revealing a rather bare chamber inside, with only a sarcophagus and some jars and a pair of chests lining the walls.

Helena double checked her mental list quickly, before striding into the burial chamber, and making straight for the chests. Stopping, almost on a whim, Helena found it hard to believe that the trap placers for this tomb would be completely incompetent, but still, after a moments consideration, she simply walked over, and opened the chests, fully intent on keeping her word, and looting this place completely. Perfectly happy to kill another mummy to if she had to, and she'd accomplish that task by leading stupid into the pitfall.

The chests are locked, elaborate things made from silver and inlaid with gold and precious stones. Meanwhile Jasmine looks into the jars, finding elaborate miniatures inside, made from balsawood.

Helena grumbles with nothing short of absolute venom as she realizes, as much as she'd LOVE to pop these like the door, they needed the money. Rolling her eyes and stretching a little, Helena just picked one up in it's entirety and started lugging it back towards the entrance of the room, intent on getting it out before they were interrupted... Again. They were heavy, but not impossible, and she was dead certain she could get them back to the caravan, even if she had to drag them across the desert herself, and that was exactly what she was planning on doing, her stubbornness truly a thing of legend.

Anything on the list so far jasmine? The last tidbit we found came with a tangle with tall, dead, and grabby, and I've half a mind to burn the sarcophagus without opening it, but I'm making good on my word and clearing this place out. I'm graverobbing out of nothing more then pure spite at this point. Helena said, having finished hauling the first chest out of the room, hopefully, and starting on the second.

The chests are heavy and Helena barely manages to get them over the gap without falling. "Nothing interesting so far, just miniatures. I don't think they would sell for much." Jasmine still seems faintly amused by Helena's reaction.

Helena ignored Jasmine's emotions for now, not bothering to think all that hard about it, because now she had two great big boxes MADE of treasure, and feeling like they were Full of treasure as well. Or sand... that would really piss her off...

Turning back, now that she'd gotten the chests several feet safely away from the giant annoying hole in the ground, Helena flopped back into the burial chamber, walked up to the sarcophagus, and rudely yanked the lid off, one hand covered in flames just in case. what were the chances of two mummies in the same week, that would piss her off to! Still, they had come here with a purpose, she was going to check everywhere.

Inside the sarcophagus is another smaller sarcophagus that's wrapped in rough white cloth. There seems to be papers under the cloth as well with some writing on them. The smaller sarcophagus seems to be made of bronze with golden mask.

Helena looked down at the smaller sarcophagus within, and felt her blood cool considerably, her emotions fading away, before, with a soft sigh, Helena just went back to the chests, and started dragging one back towards the entrance, her loot-lust killed by what could only be a mummified child. Because she highly doubted midgets made it into a royal family.

Looking at Jasmine, Helena just shook her head, and kept walking, dragging her half of the score behind her, content to let the constructs and their services be the real prize outside the wealth.

It was time to simply get these back to Cindy for picking, and then to relax the rest of the day and night away, whilst buying up everything the constructs had asked for from the village, and she meant ALL of it if they could. No reason not to get their toymakers working quickly.

As Helena crosses the gap from the tomb with Jasmine, she hears the inner sarcophagus open and someone starts swearing in the same guttural tongue the clockwork creatures were speaking.

Helena stops, turning around stiffly. Really? REALLY!? You're fistfucking me, you have to be! Helena shouted, turning on the undead who seemed to be cursing as loudly as she was in a different language, and just deciding that the dead should stay dead. She'd done enough talking today and the only answer the swearing mummy got was a fistful of fire in answer from her place in the hallway. Kill it with fucking Fire! Helena shouted, making a mental note to buy some fucking holy water when they got out of here.

Jasmine continues carrying the other chest down the hallway as Helena turns to face the rather short mummy. The mummy's presence hangs heavily on the air as it turns its gaze to Helena and she can feel its will pressing against hers as the bolt of flame hits it on the chest, leaving a small smouldering patch. The mummy awkwardly lurks towards Helena, crossing the gap as if it was solid ground.

Fire was useless, Fine. Still stubbornly dragging the chest with her, Helena raised her hand a second time, electricity sparking between her fingers before bolting towards the mummy, Helena shouting a rather loud OI! at Jasmine, because there was a flying undead floating towards them.

The electricity seems to have no more effect than the fire had even though it hits the mummy squarely in the chest, leaving another slightly smaller scorch mark. Slowed as Helena is by dragging the chest, the distinctly dwarven mummy catches up with her. Jasmine drops the chest and turns to look, firing another bolt of fire at the mummy and leaving a third scorch mark, which seems to annoy it to no end as it continues swearing loudly.

Helena, seeing the creature closing the distance, Finally lets go of the chest, flying backwards swiftly before pitching a noxious green ball of corrosive fluid, or gel, she was sure what exactly the hell she was conjuring up, but she knew what it did, and something had to work against this thing. Regardless, she wasn't about to die over a box of gold, wondering why nothing in shit sand filled wasteland didn't know how to just stay dead!

As Helena drops the chest and flies away, the mummy manages to strike her with it's arm, causing a rather painful bruise as the acid strikes the mummy and evaporates harmlessly. Jasmine throws another bolt of fire, missing the undead before retreating as well. The mummy continues after Helena with slow but steady pace.

Sooo... we can't burn it, shock it, or melt it. I don't think it's made of flesh Jasmine! Remind you of anything else we just dealt with!? Helena shouted, annoyed beyond measure before she figured to just say fuck it all. Lets just see if we can slow it down, trip it up or something, and get the loot out, or just keep trying to kill it! I'm not sure any magic we use is going to be more effective then anything else Helena added, pitching another bolt of lightning as they tried to puzzle this out.

The mummy steadfastly continues chasing Helena and Jasmine as they arrive to the place where the tunnel splits, chucking various energy projectiles at it and causing seemingly minor damage.

Helena, finally giving up on the magic approach to things, decided something else was in order, suddenly rushing at it and kicking out with both her legs, aiming to plant her feet squarely in it's chest, wondering if this would at least do SOMETHING, because what they were doing right now was amounting to bupkiss and it was costing them to very nice boxes that Helena was LOATHE to give up! Really! She wanted those chests! And she was going to do just about anything to get them, even if that meant dragging the thing to the other constructs and having them deal with it!
