The stars aren't right!(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

After eating, Jasmine comes to the wagon with Helena, and starts giving her instruction, helping Helena reach the flame faster and easier. As Helena finds the flame, Jasmine's words keep echoing in her mind, seemingly fueling the flame as Helena feels herself growing more certain of herself, somehow.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Helena seizes on the assistance, repeating Jasmine's words like a mantra, Helena works towards her goal, of changing herself as surely as she changed the flame, of being the predator she once was, and followed Jasmine's instructions to the absolute letter, never questioning and moving forwards with more confidence then she had had in a long time.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

As Helena's trance deepens, she can feel the flame humming as it grows stronger, changing shades again, tinted with other colors, but always growing redder. Finally a loud snap brings her out of the trance, to find that an hour or more has passed and Cindy is already sleeping. "That's enough for tonight. Time to sleep."

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Helena ponders how well things went tonight, finally seeing a little hope in the whole situation and bettering her mood considerably. Thinking of Strike, and the old web spell she used to know, Helena tried it on a whim, but only produced a long strand that was sticky on one end and Very strong. Pondering it and the new trick up her sleeve, Helena shrugs and gets ready for bed, undressing and snuggling up with Jasmine and Cindy, the thread tossed aside.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Helena seems to end in the middle, and Jasmine curls close to her, only for Strike to appear and lie on top of all of them.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Helena starts to relax before wriggling under giant spider, wondering if Strike was really that starved for attention...

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

After a few uncomfortable moments, Strike finally curls up at the foot of the bed, falling to sleep quickly. Jasmine seems to follow suit, and Cindy never woke up.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Helena gives the Spider a kiss and a hug before laying down and passing out as well, dreaming of strange and confusing, but not unpleasant things, and happy for Strikes company.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

When Helena wakes up, Strike and the others are still sleeping and the dawn is fast approaching. The drivers don't seem to be up yet, either.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Helena gently nudges Strike awake before any of the drivers get up. "I know you wanna stay here sweet heart, but the men will freak if they see you." Getting that sorted, Helena would tidy herself up a bit and get dressed, starting on breakfast and enjoying the sunrise again.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

The spider grumbles but gets out, managing to blend into the fields surrounding the wagons with surprising ease. Helena can tell that the spider is not comfortable out in the open, though.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

*I know dear, I know, Just a bit longer, and you're welcome at night but I can't have you giving all the men a heart attack*

Getting a fire started, Helena started on the simple porridge usually had for breakfast and wakes the other two up with steaming bowls of breakfast. "Get up or you'll waste the whole day!"

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

The others as well as the drivers get up while Helena is still cooking. Nevertheless, Jasmine stays on the wagon, accepting the food with a kiss on Helena's cheek while Cindy gets out of the wagon and eats near the fire.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Grinning at the kiss, Helena givers her a peck as well, and hops out of the wagon, eating near the fire as well and wondering why Cindy was eating apart from the others. "Everything alright?"

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

"Yeah," Cindy answers with a yawn. "I didn't sleep very well, though. Strike kept waking me up."

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

"Why would Strike do that?" Helena asks curiously, thinking for sure that the spider had gone to sleep with the rest of them. Finishing her food, she set her bowl aside and was now utterly convinced that all 3 of her friends were plotting against her!

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

"She kept moving in her sleep. Didn't you notice?" Cindy answers, followed by another yawn before she hurries to finish her meal.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

"Nope" Helena says thinking, but she always slept like a stone and woke up early, so she guessed it wouldn't be too surprising if the spider wriggled in her sleep. Collecting Cindy's bowl once she had finished, and going for Jasmine's, Helena cleaned up and got everything packed away, since the other two seemed so tired, before hopping in the wagon and relaxing.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

The drivers again get ready in fairly short order, and Helena finds herself in the wagon with Jasmine, as Cindy has apparently decided to walk.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Helena wonders at Cindy's behavior this morning. "Something eating at Cindy? She said she didn't sleep well"
