Gavin's expression soured slightly at the words "nest" and "cave," but he nodded anyway and said; "Lead the way I guess. Is it very far?"

Setia smiles and leads the way into the forest, trying to figure out wich way her nest was.

Setia and Gavin departed from his farm after he gave his mother a hug, and began searching for the cave in which she lived. She'd gotten turned around a bit in her run from the human hunter that had been following her, and as such they wandered for well over an hour without even finding the stream she'd been near when she had first seen him. Suddenly and without warning, a strange green creature leaped out of the bushes and slammed into Setia, carrying her light frame to the ground. "Setia!" Gavin cried in surprise as the tentacles sprouted from the creature, wrapping around her limbs and holding her down beneath it.

Setia panics as she is assaulted by the strange tentacled beast. She reflexively uses Gorgon's Gaze on the beast's main body.

Setia's gaze flared out, the magic taking hold of the beast lying on top of her and turning its leafy flesh into solid stone. It shivered and let out one last feeble cry before it was turned into a statue.... One that was unfortunately still lying on top of Setia and partially wrapped around her. Gavin was at her side immediately, but the thick stone was too strong for him to pry off with his hands. He made the attempt for a moment anyway, and as he tried to pry the tentacles off of Setia's limbs he said; "Are you okay? How did you do that?" After another moment of fruitless tugging and pulling, he grumbled and stood up, "It's not good... I'm going to have to break it somehow, unless you can do that."

Setia squirms in the petrified creature's embrace; this was obviously not her brightest idea. Setia blushes as Gavin rushed to her side and praised her.

"I... erm, it was nothing really..."

Setia kept squirming, trying to help Gavin as best she could to pry herself free.

"Please, help me. Break it with something."

"Right..." Gavin said, and then glanced around. "Hold on a moment, I'll be right back!" he added as he disappeared, coming back moments later with a thick tree limb. "Try to hold still, I don't want to risk hitting you." With that, he started bashing away, first at the stone tentacles around Setia's limbs (that hurt a little bit even though he managed to keep from ever hitting her directly) and then at one of the legs, allowing Setia to slip out from underneath the thing. After helping her to her feet, the young human asked; "What was that thing?"

Stia winces in pain as Gavin helped her free and was easily helped up onto her feet, but left with a few sore spots.

"I... I don't know. I don't recall ever seeing such a strange creature before."

"Huh.... Neither have I..." Gavin said thoughtfully. "Are there a lot of dangerous things out in the forest? I only ever heard about the wild animals and the demons... Never no plant monsters!"

"Human hunters?" Gavin asked, surprised. "Why are they the scariest? I wouldn't think that a person would go after you... You look too human! And it's not like you go around attacking people..." Gavin paused, and there was just a slight tremor of nervousness in his voice as he asked; "....Right?"

"I dunno, they're just scary. They always have these scary-looking weapons and they keep trying to get close to me."

"They're probably just trying to figure out what you are," Gavin reasoned, "You're very unique! I've never seen anything like you before! And I'm sure they wouldn't hurt you... They mostly come out into the woods for food!"

Setia blushes from being referred to as 'unique', "Yeah, I guess that makes sense."

Gavin nodded resolutely, "Course it does! Now lets get moving again, before more of those things show up!" And with that, the human boy ushered Setia from the site of their attack, leaving the destoned monster in place. Eventually they reached Setia's cave, the cockatrice leading the way, and from then on it was up to Setia to lead Gavin into her nest.

Setia nods in agreement and continues to lead the way untilthey arrive outside a rocky, vine-covered cliff face. Setia then walks to one section and pulls the vines to the side revealing a hidden cave. She escorts Gavin inside to a fair-sized cave with a large birds' nest on the far end. The rest of the cave was filled with lots shiny human-made objects.

Gavin followed Setia into her cave, and once they were safely inside he glanced about into the darkened cavern with a frown. "Cozy I guess" he said, "So... What happens now?"

Setia curls up all cozy in her nest and pats the space next to her invitingly, "Well, we could cuddle for now~."

"Uhhh... Okay then," Gavin replied as he moved and came to sit next to Setia on her nest. With the enclosed space and their proximity, Setia's pheromones clearly started hitting Gavin once again, just like they had back in his house. His eyes widened and his pupils dilated, and the arm that he wrapped around her slowly began to tense as a blush crept over his features.
