I'm not getting what you mean. The monsters in the first game weren't "cute" by any standard and given that the game even explained that Luka's continent was basically for religious zealots and the other two permitting co-existence (seriously. Even Alice comments in Pt 2 about it asking Luka if he was going to quit his quest because of this) it would stand to reason that the "stronger" monsters are only there because they have the opportunity to feed on willing victims. With respect to "cuteness" it could be interpreted as the stronger a monster gets the more "mature" it appears. The slime from the first game was pretty weak when you compare it to the slimes from Pt 2 probably because it had no means to grow.
The storyline isn't "confusing" and the multiple monster fights make sense. Weaker monsters grouping together or even "soldier" monsters that function better in a group wouldn't go into singles combat unless there was a chance they could gain an advantage. As it is, the "queen" monsters are more likely to fight Luka on their own because they have such power that requires the opponent be prepared for lengthy combat or a one-shot that won't miss.

This actually sounds pretty fun. However intentionally marrying EVERY monster girl you meet on your way would imo repetitive quickly. Mixing it up would probably be better, with marrying the monster lord being the longterm objective, and a few romantic encounters thrown in between. Not all of them straightforward, of course.
You're right. I actually considered that, and determined that it would be best to have certain monster girls be harem material, others demand that you marry them after you do X in the course of duty, and others not give two whits about the idea of marrying you, since they just want your semen/torment you. Some of the power/relics you'd gain would be from girls you encounter. The idea is that you're not a hero, even in the Luka sense, but rather a quirky adventurer who muddles through as if it's destiny, leaving chaos and confusion in your wake, and followed by stalkers and having high expectations from the monster girls that you become betrothed to.
Considering that you'd want to use the already existing CG's (at least from what I understand up to this point), in the long run I can really see this happening.
There's quite a bit of monster girls who were after Luka as a life-long mate and not just a good snack. So your plan would actually work really well. Hmm...I know from memory the bandit girls, the clam lady, Kitsune, Nanabi, 3 out of 4 generals, all the harpies, Sarah, and a few others who game overs slip my mind at the moment were more interested in just keeping him rather than draining him to death or use him as a toy.
You mean aside from having played them? No. I have no experience with Ren'Py. I do have programming experience, so it's not like it couldn't be done. If it were to be done, I would come up with individual scenarios to test their quality, before committing to making an entire revision of the story. If I'm going to be using their resources, I might as well make sure that what I do is quality, too. I see that the game has a wide selection of modding resources, so it is definitely feasible.
Try doing this: If you lose the battle with them, you're forced to be with them and no one else. If you win the battle, you get the choice of continuing your quest without them or adding them to your harem.

I don't mind. Most of this stuff I come up with when a anime/manga/game doesn't have an ending I'm satisfied with.
