About how everyone say's if luka overused his angeletic powers he would be taken over or something.

Meditation is an angeletic power, and throughout the game ever since luka learned it he has been using it at about 70-90% of his battles, especially all boss battles, and not a single sign of him transforming or anything.

Maybe going into "super saiyan sleepy mode" is what would turn him into an angel and not usage of the angeletic powers themselves, what if luka learned how to use stuff like angel dance and ninefold rakshasa without having to fall asleep(like how he learned meditation).

or, maybe the power is inside him and triggered inside him and not by the ring, but the keepsake ring instead somehow serves to protect luka from transforming when using his angeletic powers.

Damn, so many possibilities, the more I try to predict MGQ 3, the less I am able to.

My attempts to play the translated mod brought me this error here.



I merged the two games and I'm pretty sure I did everything else right. First time adding a japanese language game to the mod folder.

To you, but also to everyone for reference, at what point are you getting this error? If it's when you select a scenario from the the extras menu, it's a problem with the mod files; if it crashes on startup, it's in the main game files. A problem that is in any of the optional content shouldn't cause a crash on startup, so if that is what you are getting, you probably did make a mistake merging, patching, ending up with a bad file somewhere, or something. If you're getting problems or crash issues using my translation of camel's mod, then I probably made a mistake somewhere, so let me know. Finally, There may be some issues with Rogue's English translation depending on how you merge and patch. He's a wonderful guy who did a wonderful job on the translation, but I'm not currently using it, so I can't personally vouch for what kind of problems it could cause.

As a recap, here's what I did to merge: 1. With both the chapters of the game extracted to their own folders, make a new folder with nothing in it. 2. Copy the contents of the chapter 1 folder, and paste it into the new empty folder. 3. copy the contents of the chapter 2 folder, and paste it into the new folder, overwriting any time you have a conflict. 4. Install both chapter 2 patches. 5. Add any optional content you want to the mod folder, and edit the 'list' file accordingly. As stated, Camel's quest in particular comes with its own list file that will work if you delete the part in parentheses. It will only load the parts of his mod, but if you open the file to edit it, the format for adding new content should be fairly obvious.

Note that this approach will only let you play chapter 2. If you did in fact choose to keep both exes, the one that is supposed to launch the first chapter will not adjust the window correctly, and eventually crash. You have to run the game using the chapter 2 launcher (it's the one with Alice's face on it), and that's the one you need to use for mods anyway.

If you want to play chapter 1, I recommend playing it normally without merging anything. If this explanation doesn't solve your problem,. ten it is likely a complex problem which would have to be solved on a case by case basis. And unfortunately I don't really have the free time to help people sort those out right now.

I get the error when I start up the downloaded story. I get a blank text box and then I click once and that crashes the game. Other stories work just fine. Also, I'm pretty sure I manage to copy over game one correctly, since I replayed it with two connected and it transferred over seamlessly.

I get the error when I start up the downloaded story. I get a blank text box and then I click once and that crashes the game. Other stories work just fine. Also, I'm pretty sure I manage to copy over game one correctly, since I replayed it with two connected and it transferred over seamlessly.

If you're using the files I uploaded, then it might be a problem to load the story itself; I translated the first three battles, but not the boss and the story yet, so when you go to the story part, there could be some issues. If you aren't using those files, then I don't know what could have gone wrong, because adding mods goes well for most people it seems.

New Game + is a modded feature that allows you to start your MGQ1&2 (you need to have the games joined into a whole) all over again... with Luka being at 60+ level with all the skills!

Everyone is surprised by his power and you no longer need to depend on your opponent's mercy, luck, or interference from Alice to win unwinable battles.
Lot's of inside jokes and dialogue changes in part 1. There's no special scenario for Part 2 - it plays normally, only you have a greater level. All skills are normal except you keep Sylph at Level 3 power.

Also, an awesome feature of doing an actual 1 on 1 battle as Alipheese herself!

Be warned, however - while the usual run-of-the-mill fight is easy as hell, many bosses were given quite ridiculous power upgrades to make the battles more challenging.

I'd have to PM someone the links, since the site won't let me post links until I have at least 15 posts.

You may want to keep a backup version of the original, since you need to overwrite things in order to play New Game+.

Since it's a demo a lot of the text is missing and some of the scenarios don't even work. The full mod will be out sometime later and will supposedly be much larger.

Correction. Apparently the english patch is corrupting the mod. I'm getting reports that unpatched versions can play through the scenarios without issue.

Does anyone have a link to Camel's website? or a working download link? I'm a bit late to the scene and the link appears to be down now. Googling for Camel's mod didn't get me very far...
