The door doesn't quite open with her quick tug, but Mary can tell that with a little bit more effort she could pull it open.

Ai's naginata nearly disintegrated the door in one swipe, though she needed a few more to really clear the obstruction. The room behind it is really no longer a room. The walls and ceiling have fallen apart, and the trees and plants of the swamp have started to move in to reclaim it. In what was once a corner of the room is a fairly large chest, nestled amongst the branches of a large tree.

"Knew it wouldn't last" Ai thinks as her blade nearly cleaves the door apart in one strike

As she steps into the nearly grown-over room, Ai's attention is once agaion drawn to the chest in the room
"Could this one be a mimic since the last one wasn't?" she asks her mage friend before closing towards the chest

Mary moves closer to the chest. "Hmm...my gut tells me this one is probably a mimic...normal chests probably wouldn't last in an environment like this, right?"

That being said, Mary moves closer to the chest and opens it, wondering how it will react if it is a mimic.

When Mary opens the chest, her and Ai are immediately hit by a cloud of spores, and feel their panties quickly begin to moisten. As they're trying to recover from the aprhodisiac spores, vine-like tentacles raised from the fairly large plant that had taken up residence in the chest.

"Or vine tentacles...that works too..." Mary says, coughing as she takes a few steps back, lining up a blast at the plants. These things looked pretty powerful, her thoughts were too busy thinking how much she might enjoy it if she lost instead of trying to focus on beating the beast.

"One of these again..." Ai manages to say amidst the spores she'd been pleasured by once before. Trying to ignore her quickly rising arousal, she steps forward to initiate the fight with a downward slash

Mary fails to hit either the vines or the plant that they sprouted from, but Ai manages to cleave one of the vines in two.

The vines try to retaliate against her, but she just barely gets out of the way.

Mary's first blast misses, but the second is dead on. Ai also manages to line up a strike on another vine, sending it twitching to the floor.

4 vs. 22, Counter!

The vines attack Ai, but she manages to swiftly sever them from the main body, and they writhe about disembodied on the floor. However, the plant releases more spores; they are farther away this time, so they are only slightly aroused.

As Mary gets more aroused by the spores, she can't help buy think about what the vines would do to the both of them if they lost. "...Quit cheating you damn plant!" she shouts, shooting another two blasts and trying to back up a bit more to avoid the spores.

"Too slow!" Ai says in a loud voice as she continues her attack with astounding success. She severs another vine with her second attack, a few others following suit as they reach out for her. The dastardly plant manages to spray them with more spores, but it's not as severe as the first. A little more heat rising in her, Ai is determined to end the fight before her body betrays her as she steps forward to attack again

Mary's first blast hits it, but her second and Ai's slash fail to connect.

10 vs. 8

The vines finally manage to slap Ai, entangling her a little as they slather her with a strange slime, which seems to be functioning as an aphrodisiac as well.

Punished for missing the vines, Ai is grappled by them as they emit the same slime no doubt found in the tentacle monsters. As it seeps throught her clothes, Ai finds herself getting even more aroused
"I-I'm okay.." she gasps back at Mary, aiming a blow at the plant in hopes of getting it off from her

Both Mary and Ai fail to hit the plant, its vines weaving about to dodge them. Perhaps the plant is getting quicker, but more likely they're getting slower.

7 vs. 8

Ai still manages somehow to weave out of the way of the vines, even as they entangle her just a little bit more. More spores shoot out of the plant, further arousing the girls.

"Ahh! You damn cheating plant, cut that out!" Mary shouts, focusing this time on firing three blasts before it becomes too hard for her to aim, who knows how long they might have before the arousal gets to the both of them.
