Re: Tentacle-tan and the Wisp's Cure

Ok came on to exactly what I didn't want... But anyways... Thanks for the defense but I'm pretty sure Nookies intentions were either constructive or positive. My line about the mixed message was more of a joke than anything I just thought his wording was odd and made it sound like he was saying pretty much what razor said he was saying... Although I was sure that wasn't what he was saying... Either way though this was an awesome display of support and I'm humbled...

Anyways on to other questions... @Neko, just pointing out I'm petty sure making her naked was your idea wasn't it?

@UoU I know it's rare and so I completely understand your confusion but I'm actually a woman... So yeah you were using the wrong nomenclature...

Lastly just a curiosity question... It was in the chat so I couldn't find it again but I like to give credit where credit is due... So for whoever the person was who gave me the idea for the mimic... Yeah I can't remember who you were... If you could remind me that would be great :D

Edit: Oh hey... in that link Nookie posted they mention Kongregate... I used to go on there a lot with my sister... It was a fun place.

So give a thumbs up if you want me in the team. I want to be responsible for the art. I haven't done much animation, but I'll try.

I don't know if you would like to be focused on the programming side of this game, but if you don't mind then it would be best if you can start out with placeholder graphics and start making the code for the game. :)
awww... i wanna do art.... (pout face) but with place holders and code for the game. idk what that is but i want to assume that you want me to use substitutes and create the game in a way. that will be hard since its so conected with the sprites. tina will have an attack to kil her enemies. but if she is hit by the enemy, she has an amination she must go through. basically a rape per say. a couple of pages back Kara pointed how the enimies and settins would look like and play out. i have them saved on my computer and half memorized. i would perfer if we work togeather with the art since its so complex.

I forgot it was my idea. silly me XP
but.... I KNEW IT. I SOOO KNEW IT. I WAS NEVER SURE BUT NOW I KNOW. Now i can not wonder any more. KAara is an awesome girl

If we're both working on the art then who will do the programming? Also give me a thumbs up if you want me in the team. :p

I'd be wary about letting him into the team. My personal experiences with him have basically involved him taking on a job, then promptly ignoring it, not getting back to me to say he's decided he won't do it.

So basically, not exactly a reliable person. Do you really want someone who'll take on a task and vanish with no warning, leaving you to wonder if it's getting done or not in your design team?

I know that you're still waiting on your request, and I did say I'll see what I can do. Are you really judging me because you didn't get your request yet, which is something that's usually done FOR FREE.

If you don't want to wait then I won't do it. I'm sorry I got your hopes up.

Re: Tentacle-tan and the Wisp's Cure

this game will be developed in stages.

1st we need to develop characters and enimies.
2nd make sprites of the developed chars
3rd making animation for the sprites (short task)
4th implement sprites into game/ program game
5th update what ever nees to be updated in the game

plz alter if need be. this is my basic plan

we should only focus on one stage at a time. and you BETTER be committed if you want to be a team. i may be sllow at this process, but im assertive. im not passive, and if you will be passive in this development, id rather you not help. it will own only make me slowe. but if your comitted you will help greatly. the choice is yours

No, if you read what I said, it's quite clear the lack of communication on your part is the reason I'm judging you. As far as I'm concerned, you took the request, then promptly decided not to do it, went off to do other projects, and never bothered informing me of such.

And he did mention he was persistent before and taking drawing requests, I mean a drawing takes no more than an hour or two max then the coloring/shadeing takes some more time.... This is all very confusing especially if he has an awesome game design class in university he should be able to make a whole game himself.

Also AKara sorry i noticed on your profile and made the correction.

Re: Tentacle-tan and the Wisp's Cure

I'm just going to stay away from this...

Status update: Putting work on events on hold and working on finishing the enemy types for the sidequests... Also going to work on coming up with how shops will work and what kind of stuff they'll sell... Also would a secondary unlockable game mode for defeating Orion be too much work? Because I was toying with the idea of a short game mode consisting of only one world some new enemies and a boss that would explain the background of a certain side character... Just for fun...

Re: Tentacle-tan and the Wisp's Cure

wow. a shop too. thats going to be complacated. i have no idea how to input a shop and its components into a game.

maybe like, if x item is bouthgt, tina's attack or defence will be (random number) instead of the norm.

but its still complicated to input.

nevermind me. im going to doodle and color and shade and make a masterpiece of a tina.

and with the clothes situation, i was wondering if she wore a dress, but when attacked by an enemmy, it gets ripped off. maybe after 3 attacks.
like every attack lovers her determination meter, once below (ex. 70/ full health is 100) her close dissapear and rape can happen
how does that

Well feel free to judge me even more. I did your request.

And he did mention he was persistent before and taking drawing requests, I mean a drawing takes no more than an hour or two max then the coloring/shadeing takes some more time....
Well I did his request...I don't know if that will do anything to give me a "good" impression. I am persistent, but I can't do other things?

Also a DECENT drawing takes a bit more than an hour or two; I too still have a lot to learn.

This is all very confusing especially if he has an awesome game design class in university he should be able to make a whole game himself.
Sure I could make a game myself, but that doesn't teach me how to work in a team.

Re: Tentacle-tan and the Wisp's Cure

Originally there were going to be two shops... The one you get from the sidhe quest and the one you get from the shop quest. Both are from optional sidequests. If it turns out to be too much though I could just eliminate the idea of shops altogether. Just alter the rewards a little and it would be workable. I could just add more findable stat boosting items to make up for it although I'll also eliminate the need for a money system.

You'll get good Neko more practice, the tablets weird at first but you get used to it fast.

Are you useing photoshop? If you are trying to make uniform lines zoom in very close make hard thin lines(brush size either 1-2-3 depending on your canvas size) then alt control too actual pixels(actual size of the drawing) to see the result.
Layers are of extreme importance in saving time that's why most drawings are done on the computer, try making eyes, mouth, hair and body in separate layers then afterwords make more layers for color the eyes, hair, body.
The body color should be above the background then the outline of the body
is after that and so on.
I'm sure this is not the greatest advice I've only just started to draw at the beginning of this year but it's effective for me.

I don't want to sound pompous (this is actually advice), but I think that Neko and you should start drawing basic shapes and lines. Once you get those basics down, start on 3D shapes and get 1-2-3 point perspective down plus foreshortening. Then most things will make sense as you draw more organic shapes. :)
