I hate that for some reason it seems there isn't a single cigar store online that ships to Norway. If I want to buy a 35$ pack of cigars, the cheapest site I've found would charge me 60$ in shipping...

I don't suppose anyone here knows of anything?

I know that, generally, at least here in the States, shipping cigarettes (and I would imagine cigars) isn't really legal. Fairly sure that accounts for sending them out of country, too. That might have something to do with it. Fees, a method of shipping that allows for the sending of substances like that. Not a solution, but possibly an answer at any rate. I can get more clarification when my mother gets up. I'm just going off of the top of my head.

Actually, I discovered while going through some websites, that the Norwegian department of health has banned personal import of tobacco. This of course leads to a near monopoly on the market by the two cigar stores in Norway, (We're only 4.6 million people.) and drives the prices sky high.

Of course, the way we get around that here in the States is by not telling the nice officials at the postal stations what's *in* the box that we're sending. Maybe some of the places that ship do the same thing?

I know this is going to sound stupid, but I really wish you would all vote Obama... Because as it stands now, a lot of the smart, educated and well informed people won't be voting. So that means Romney might get in charge. And that is even worse than Obama... (Also, yes, there is a backhanded slap in here...)

Well, I'm not quite old enough to remember him myself, but it came up at dinner the other night between me, mom, the ST, and her dad. I think it trailed after the "You can't make things like Mel Brooks movies" and the old SNL skits after that. *snaps* That's what it was. We were at a Chinese buffet that does sushi and they have these...octopi we call "wacky wall walkers" and my mother mentioned that SNL had a skit like that. Which started me on Chevy Chase and Richard Prior...getting away with things...

From sushi to politics in six moves. Awesome!
