Re: Fairy Fighting

This is what I have learned through a circle of emails. Mediafire is sticking to their tos and is now actively removing anything adult in nature including but not limited to images, media clips, programs, graphic texts, and/or files that elude to adult sexual or violent content.

Even if you hide the files within a .zip of any kind, they are allowed to open and check for adult content.

You cannot upload passworded files any more, unless you are a premium user. This grants them full access to compressed files, .pdfs, .xmls, etcetra.

The MD5 is tracked to prevent re-upload.

For each violation, the uploader gets 1 to 3 strikes. After 5, the entire account is suspended and access to any files hosted (be they adult oriented or not) is not allowed by the uploader or downloaders.

You can email them to ask for your file access back, however more than likely you will be denied.

Shame that mediafire is going this route all of a sudden, but what can you do? Pretty soon we wil be right back to rapidshare and their free user download speed cap.

I also love how a right-wing bible-thumping fundamentalist Christian can get away with having a name made up entirely of sexual references.
Maybe that's why he's so against it all lol

YEAH...Found that out today. I'm acually using Dropbox ATM as they seem to not be doing the entire 'check files for adult content' ordeal as it's direct file sharing. No clue how long it'll last, it's limit on Free account sizes is also pretty harsh ( only 2GB! ). It'll work for my game project, and hosting/passing of images, but not much else...

I can hardly understand all this crap they're pulling about porn on the internet. Internet IS for porn! They even wrote a song about it! Anyway, I don't think is much of a problem. Give thenm a little bit of time, and either they'll get tired of wossing oround or someone else will post a beter sharing site that don't give users all this crap

I used to use dropbox all the time a few years back. It was a great tool to transfer items back and forth between me and my friends until we heard that they changed their TOS to make it to where they can somehow claim all of the material posted into a dropbox as their own...not sure how that is legal but it's supposedly what happened.

Re: Fairy Fighting

lol, easy fix.

Make a torrent.

And if they keep all this 'anti porn' shit up we're going to have to bring back the whore houses and start churning out mail-order snuff films again.

We could all just move up to whichever canadian city it was that completely legalized whore houses again lol.

And yeah, I agree with the torrent idea. It's the best way to get anything now days. Just make sure you're running peerblock while you're doing it and you're golden. :)

Re: Fairy Fighting

yikes, my games got removed too.

Personally I'm not a friend of torrent, not for these kind of small games. Once the seeders are gone, the file becomes unavailable, while a (good) filehoster can keep the file for years.

Re: Fairy Fighting

Maybe you all can use the same services that the maker of crackle cradle or 3dryonage use? Sourceforge and getuploader I think is what they were called. I dunno...gotta be something.

At the moment I'm quite satisfied with depositfiles. Their ToS don't prohibit porn as such from what I can tell, so I hope my files will stay.
I'll make a mirror with rapidshare as well, just to be save.

Re: Fairy Fighting

I don't quite get it these conversation about what happened on Media Fire, although because of lack of knowledge. Anyway I kinda understand what Toffi said that his games been deleted because of pornographic content but I just downloaded Eluku's newest version of Fairy Fighting "although I haven't check it yet" before I come in this tread and notice of another blocking which makes me confuse. So can someone tell the specific detail what's really happening.

Appreciate the help /\_/\.

You need to give them the right to distribute it for you to share a file with others via their service. It's like that on any file sharing site, but people misread the terms thinking they now own anything you put on there. If they did just immediately own anything placed on Dropbox in its entirety, businesses wouldn't use it as extensively as they do.

Direct from the terms:
"By using our Services you provide us with information, files, and folders that you submit to Dropbox (together, “your stuff”). You retain full ownership to your stuff. We don’t claim any ownership to any of it. These Terms do not grant us any rights to your stuff or intellectual property except for the limited rights that are needed to run the Services, as explained below."

Re: Fairy Fighting

It amuses me that Rapidshare is the only major file-sharing service that seems totally unfazed by the shitstorm of recent times, yet they're one of the most hostile to non-subscribing users.

EDIT: Also, thanks for the heads-up, West. Any chance you could give a source though? Not trying to call you out on porky-pies or anything, it just helps to have something to point to. Especially since it might be a decent idea for this to be a stickied as important news until everyone gets the message, since Mediafire is probably the most widely-used service for the kind of material we come here for.
Wel, all I have is the emails, 2 of my own mediafire accounts suspended; 1 which is premium and the other free, but just used for a personal non share backup, the terms of service, as well as the conversations between me and mediafire support, me and some others, and a couple between others and mediafire support.

I suppose Toffi has a few of the notices as well. If Toffi emails support, he may be able to get a response as well.

To note: suspended accounts can't reach the terms of service while logged in. You have to sign out completely. Doesn't affect your ability to download from mediafire.

If you want the emails, I'll copy and paste them or screenshot them for you, with the terms of service. If I get permission from the others, I'll do the same for them.

For the record, MilkJellyFish and PR_Roper have both been updated today.

Re: Fairy Fighting

One new grapple for roper...it's kind of a super anal penetration implant thing that starts raping her vagina after roper pulls out. Also goes all the way through :). Pretty hot.

Haven't really noticed anything new about MJF but didn't play it too long. Dunno.

Re: Fairy Fighting

If I'm not mistaken, there is a grab for the MJF that wasn't there before. It's rare, but sometimes MJF will flash red and then grab Tiki and milk her.

Re: Fairy Fighting

harrumph, guess we'll have to wait before eluku says "fuck you mediafire" and kicks them in the face. Roper update makes me happy, but after building excitement, this sudden lack of fairy fighting is making me increda-sad.

I'm not annoyed -grumble grumble... Fecking legislative wave... SOPA/PIPA was thrown out but its almost like it came into being -grumble grumble... twats... grumble...-

edit:
the red flash grab for MJF is indeed rare, but its been in since 2 updates ago. Also note the lack of minion pooping.

Re: Fairy Fighting

Another minor update, on Rapidshit. Apparently very little has changed in it, he says not to bother if you have the previous patch.

I'd really like to see him release the concept art for Roper's attacks, if it exists. I really like them.
