Re: Project X - current version 2.5

I was gonna say the same thing, but Coyote beat me to it, and explained my point so well that i just wanted to say: Yeah, thats what i meant.

Thanks for the link, that review was hilarious.
No problem, AVGN is great.

Regardless, I'm glad it's not in there anymore.

And AVGN sucks

Everybody is entitled to their own opinions on what is cool or not. Personally (as you can see by my sig) I think he rocks..

Unless you think the IRATE Gamer is awesome Toxic, then I don't have a problem with your opinion.

Does anyone know if RC may plan to put her back in another later update of the game, I would love to see her in it. On another note, I think Zeta and Rogue tie for my favorite ones in the game, with Blaze coming in second.

Yeah avgn is great if you ask me.

The amount of time and effort that guy puts into his video's, and puts them out there for FREE, and still keeps on doing it, it's just amazing considering he also has a job and rl and stuff going on.

His movie reviews are also interesting too watch, he really knows where to dig up the most obscure movies and even knows alot about them to talk about.

Not to mention the nostalgic feeling you get from seeing some of those childhood videogames you played all those years ago.

If you gonna say avgn sucks, at least say why he sucks ...

Hmm. Every time I try and play the new Project X version, it wont run. It takes me to this thing that says "Press A to start game, Press F to quit, etc" and if I press anything, the window just closes.

AVGN is good, but I myself personally; prefer The Nostalgia Critic. His specials, top 11 lists, and Kickassia were just simply awesome. I don't hate AVGN it's just IMO, Critic is superior.

Ah, but seriously, I like NC and AVGN equally. NC takes care of the movies, AVGN takes care of the games. Also, if you like watching their other stuff, James' 'Board James' and his own films are awesome, as well as Doug's 'Bum Reviews' and 'Ask That Guy'. Definitely loved 'Kickassia'.
I especially love the few videos that they worked on together.

ON TOPIC: Wait, so RC is confused about all of this as well? Huh, hopefully they'll get their shit worked out. I miss Glass J- I MEAN ZU.

As for the skeleton thing: I didn't mind it, but it was kind of weird to me. I mean, here we have EVERY ENEMY up to that point being all about the raping. Then, all of a sudden, BAM, the Plant boss comes out of nowhere and just kills you (save for the vines). Like I said, I didn't mind it, but it kinda just came outta nowhere from my perspective.

Yeah, that's why James Rolfe is cool. I said AVGN sucks.

So.. same to you

Some things are weird and it might make you not jerk off to it or be interested in it, but few things, skeleton included, would turn people off completely.

Thing is, Yahtzee does the new bad games, though he'll occasionally do a good one. AVGN is all about the bad old games(Atari, NES, Genesis, etc.), with one or two special episodes where he plays something good.

Well if you put it that way then ye I still like him cause anybody who played nes or sega when they were a kid in the 80's-90's has come accross at least one, probably multiple bad or really really hard games that made you rage.

I mostly played sega games so games like ghosthouse or teddyboy I really hated, or on my nephew's nes that gayass tnmt game ... (I kinda hope he takes a look at the game boy one "fall of the foot clan" sometime. I had that and thought it was 1000x better then the nes one)

And seeing the avgn character going all beserk, you know what he's talking about and think to yourself: 'I totally understand you man, BURN THAT GAMEEEE RAAAGHHH!!!'

He's the inner rage nerd from our childhood that has come to life as a character of james rolfe.

And I didn't get bothered alot from the skeletons, but I do admit they felt out of place

People don't commonly play ero games as if they should be winning it.

Re: Project X - current version demo 2.8

Yeah, that'll teach those lazy people how to "play" a "game".
yes, because "lazy" is the reason they're not trying

Conditioned by a decade and a half of videogame playing, I sometimes play games like this and Nanocrisis like I'm trying to win. Then I pause and think to myself, "What the hell are you doing?"

I don't think I ever played a game to beat it. Winning my games is the last thing I want to do <_<.

Re: Project X - current version demo 2.8

I play to win, but with self-imposed rules to make it less likely that I do so. This has varying necessity per game (I play to win on Fairy Fighting and STILL lose, for example, much of the time). It just makes it more believable.

For example, on Project X a lot of the time I'll restrict myself from using the escape move. On Fairy Fighting I refrain from using the masturbation recharge or specials sometimes, or play suicidally aggressively.

Re: Project X - current version demo 2.8

Whenever I actually try to win on Fairy Fighting, I usually get really frustrated and play until I win. I guess that kinda ruins the immersion for me, you're supposed to try, and fail. Bah.
