Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

I must be more tricky than I thought, either that or I'm being too difficult. Eh I was prepared for it anyways, so I guess it's okay if you don't take the hints.

Now to see how well Copper has been paying attention to the conversation between Izzy and Lucky, and if she can put two and two together.

Oh, I have a couple of theories, actually. And Izzy's kind. She's not naive, heh.

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Who said anything about Izzy being naive, Or did I accidentally make you feel suddenly paranoid.

It's okay I tend to be oblivious myself, I was just worried that I was being too hard on the two of you. Since frustrated wasn't exactly what I was aiming for when I set out, you seem to have caught on though.

Oh and the word of the day is catawampus, and no it's not some kind of monster from d&d like I first thought when I heard it. The first person to correctly work it into a conversation wins.

Well, our coterie is pretty catawampus, if you ask me. But if you'd like us to work it into a game conversation, that might take a bit more work...

I wouldn't say our coterie is catawampus, as that doesn't... entirely make sense.

I could think of a way to work it into in game conversation though.

All depends on how you use it, I suppose. Or define the definition. We are a slightly off-the-mark bunch...

Well I can't argue there, you don't get much more off-the-mark than our group. Though I was more thinking of it as being a synonym of cater-corner, which doesn't exactly come up in common parlance that often itself.

I'm also trying to come up with a d&d monster called the catawampus, mostly because I just want to say the dread catawampus arose from the swamp. Yeah, yeah I know I'm weird.

Well, there's the cateoplas, or something like that. My MM is in the other room and I'm feeling too lazy to go get it at the moment. The big thing with like, the boar's head and the giraffe neck *laughs*

Ah that's right, the catoblepas, maybe that's why I keep thinking it should be some kind of monster. Good lord that thing looks ridiculous, especially the d&d version.

My personal favorite is still the Invisible Stalker from the black AD&D Monster Manual....

What about the invisible mushroom from 3.5? That one has always given me a chuckle. My absolute favourite has got to be the furry gay pride mascot. Not sure which book it's from, but it was in the list of the silliest DnD monsters ever XD

This is what I like about Pathfinder and the "Misfit Monsters redeemed" book. Yeah, the "Wolf-in-sheeps-clothing"? That stupid tree trunk with the rabbit sitting on it? Yeah, not so stupid when you realize it changes what's sitting on it based on the last prey that it's killed and can move it's lure around like a puppet to draw people in.

Furry gay pride mascot what? What edition are you talking there and describe more. This I gotta see...

Yeah I want to know what this furry gay pride mascot looks like too. I also feel the need to throw modrons out there for being downright silly looking.

Had to look it up, it's called a Senmurv, and it's apparently 3.5, judging from the style of the writing i can pick out from around the edge of the picture. Google it, you'll know it when you see it. The article I spoke of is , and it's one of the funniest things i've ever read, doubly so if you're a long-time gamer.

I've read that article and laughed all the way through it. Shrikes, that is. I haven't seen the one on Cracked. But yeah, looks like 3.5. And that's a great article, really.
