So, remember the teacher institute I talked about a while ago? I took part in an evaluation test (German and Text Processing, no psychology) and I've been accepted. Out of 30 people, the best 10 were accepted, and I'm one of them.
And I feel horrified. Sick. Every inch of my body suddenly tells me not to do this, and I don't know why. I feel like crying.

If only I knew. Maybe it's because I've kinda been pushed into this direction - and when I'm pushed one way, my first instinct is always to go another way. Hasn't served me well in the past. Maybe it's because I'm afraid I'll screw up hundreds of children in my career, but I've been helping out some other guys at my vocational school and been getting back positive feedback. In the end, it's probably just crippling self-doubt and constant second-guessing. The usual.

Sounds like you've got some identity issues; my best guess is that you're not quite sure who you want to be just yet, so whenever you feel like an identity is being forced upon you you try and rally against it even if it's what you want.
However, this is coming from a psychologist still leaning his trade and in possession of only the information you gave me, this may be woefully inaccurate. If I am right, you need to take stock of the direction you're taking your life, and assure yourself you know what you're doing. Hell, it's been objectively proven that you are good at what you do. You just need to establish that in your head.

That's just the thing though, they didn't evaluate if I'm able to be a teacher - they just took a look at my skills in German and text processing. Becoming a teacher is scarily easy.

What I will be doing though is using £1000 of it to build myself a pretty decent PC. Then I'll be using another £1000 to get a Cintiq touch screen graphic tablet.
