instead of using AGTH i use ITH (interactive text hooker)

i never have to use any codes, and it solves that "only hooked one word" problem too.

you dont need to mess with targets or shortcuts either, you can just click "process" then choose the game from a list of processes, then use the dropdown menu to find the bit with the text in it, (almost always the last one)

something about "shook off restraint"?

Not sure if it's a bug, but after you return from outside of town (like from slum) your character is under restraint debuff (which you usually get them when the enemy grab you, it prevents usage of physical attack/sword skill)

Either walk around for a bit or just finishing a fight (run away is fine) will remove it.

.- . So if that's the 'flag' you saw, then it's nothing important.

EDIT: Saw the 'flag raised' thing after about 5 or so event on Riese side, I guess it's just a flag to determine your ending.

The only thing I can't figure out is inside the run down house in the first town, where the guy removes debuffs for sexual favours. There is a room in the bottom left with 2 chests and a hole in the wall. He simply won't let me go in there. Any help?

You obviously dont play rpg maker games much.... I'm using both ITH and atgh for a long time and ITH couldnt make good hooks for about half of the games i played. It was mostly wolf but there were others.

agth works well for all you just have to know what ure looking. /x /c /v works for most but wolf game require abit more touch but if uve done it few times you can always get it within few minutes.i

short: ITH saves few min and is easier to use for beginners but ull come across alot of games you dont get any hooks or you get bad ones
AGTH works for all games i played but requires abit more knowledge to get right hooks.

BTW. i just did a quick 2nd run on Magika by skipping almost everything and doing main quest. I finished everything including desert in about 20 minutes. Was quite suprised how fast you can finish game if you just go main quest and ure 32 lvl.

When you have 100 sanity, talk to Mr. Slime in the forest in the south, then in the abandoned tunnels, then in the desert right before the academy he will give you a spell. Once you have the spell go back to the first town and there will be a commotion in front of the suspicious shop where people complained about that guy's methods. Talk to the guard and they will go away. Now the shop is clear and you can go to the hole. Afterwards go back to the academy and talk to the person in charge. Then go back to the hole in the shop for more events. Then go to the blond captain person which leads to the "true" ending after going back to Bridget's shop.

I got 2.3 version and not a single wolf game works for me with ITH.

hes a picture example from i dont know what RJ... this is a wolf game and ITH found two hooks but both are partial meaning it doesnt catch whole line... I dont know what wolf games ure playing but so far none wolf game work for me with ITH.

I got 2.3 version and not a single wolf game works for me with ITH.

General rule is, wolf games are ASS with everything.

/L sometimes works for AGTH ( I actually use Chiitrans, much simpler, no target shit either) but I stress the sometimes, and menus still suck

To defuse the dickwaving with some sound advice borrowed from someone else in the thread:

I guess this post should go in here. I got sick of AGTH throwing a fit when entering the menus in Wolf RPG games, so I did some debugging. This is tested and seemingly working properly with 4 games so far, but I haven't yet tested it on games that have been reported to have on screen timers and such.

Wolf RPG H-code - Use whichever closest matches your Game.exe
/HB*0@470D5A (2012/06/10 : 3,020KB)
/HB*0@46BA03 (2011/11/22 : 2,700KB) (By far the most common)
/HB*0@454C6C (2010/10/09 : 2,344KB) (Dragon Prison, Dummed Residence)

Use /HBN instead of /HB if you want dialogue text and menu text to appear in the same thread.
Also set the repetition trace parameters in AGTH higher or it won't work properly with text-heavy menus. 64 x 16 seems to work fine.

Example AGTH command line (for when the game is already running)
agth /PNGame.exe /HB*0@46BA03 /C /KF64:16

AGTH still causes a bit of lag when translating menus if you have a lot of skills or items. To avoid this you should use ITH.
AGTH tries to copy the text for every single item you pass over, whereas ITH only does so when you stop moving the cursor.
ITH sometimes has issues with its repetition detection, but personally I find this preferable to menu and battle slowdown.

Minimising the AGTH/ITH window generally makes the game run a bit smoother as well.

ITH works fine for that,

if you're having problems, you might not have set it up right, i know i had loads of trouble with chitrans and agth because i kept fucking it up.
