Events after events sounds cool.
But unless your planning on dropping $60~100 (even then, you may not even get a character) every week for the limited gatcha characters, then downtime between events are good for ticket reasons.
Aigis is just bad because JP devs probably saw our playerbase as a easy way to get money, given the order of events. It's pretty obvious that we're a passing thought given the cheatengine fiasco on dmm (why that's still a thing I dunno).
The fallacy with that is this,
A. you're assuming people would spend money on every event, and even with breaks in between you'd only be increasing that likelihood. Those that spend will do so, those that don't wont. Breaks do not change this.
B. Ticket sales will be driven by event only gatcha, just as they are now. My 600$ that I spent for one says I'm probably right here. (compared to what I spent on Aigis the first month, that amount is laughably low)
C. People were already complaining for lack of content earlier in this thread wanting the event ASAP. Currently the core game doesn't have that much, and even with additions people are still going to go through those even with events. Free players will simply be picking and choosing which events they devote the most effort to. Having down time really is not going to change this. Did the first week of the game before this first event really make a difference on your current standing in this event? No. Only thing you got by playing the first week, was more levels and time to build your characters. You can have a full set of level 60 bosses (provided they show up granted) with in a week.
As to the "new players" are stealing my spot. If the game increases in popularity this will always be a factor. However it is unlikely the influx of new players will be as high as the first month of release. So this argument is also a non-issue.
Bottom line:
While a delay
sounds good, in all honestly other games have proven other wise, even in regards to many free players.
Don't wreck this one before it starts.
Let the events come and if for some reason there's a problem, then make your voices heard, but don't do so right off the bat, cause it can and will bite you in the ass.
