Re: [Nutaku] Angelic Saga

3-9 so far today. Two of those wins were turn 1 timeouts.

*sigh* everyone has multiple Emily's and Natalies... I have 1 and 2 respectively, and only one of my Natalies is leveled.

You will get a full playset of all rares before long if you do the next event, and maybe some arena next week. That is what the normal gatcha is for.

been playing since Day 1 and got halfway through stage 19 of the last event. My gacha luck is mythically bad.

..and I just got two wins (off the same person that gave up a bit too soon, imo both times). 81 CP, so i could retire from this tourney now or maybe try to slog through 5 more wins for the 50 win gacha ticket

Spreading games out over the day does seem to level out the matchmaking a bit, since the player distribution averages out.

Just had a match with you (as SaucePirate), my risky turn 2 gamble paid off. Good game. : )
That gamble would've hurt if it didn't pay off, especially after you summoned a wood card that would've died. :p

I did, but I'm not sure I remember your deck or how the match went. I think you had mid level things, with only a few >HR? I'm Kotoso.

Re: [Nutaku] Angelic Saga

Just curious, what's wrong with intentionally forfeiting games early on (aside from being an asshole) when you know there's no way you're going to win? (I've rarely had even-leveled games, since once your opponent has the slightest advantage of field presence over you or a higher leveled girl, it seems impossible to win, save for a perfectly timed and leveled Natalie).

I actually WANT my RP to go down to play against weaker opponents, since it does, in theory, allow me to play against easier opponents, and doesn't affect how I rank in the tourney. I can take the loss of gacha points but I'd rather not waste my time knowing I'll lose anyway.

As I understand it, losing a match before Turn 5 causes you to lose CP.

Vague/anecdotal guess: the winner obtains fewer GP from an early forfeit. So if someone has actually outplayed you, then the sportsmanlike thing to do would be to let them win cleanly.

I saw that happen once. I managed to make a clever play and eliminated my opponent's centerpiece card. He didn't forfeit, but just skipped his turns (despite having full mana and 6+ cards in-hand) and allowed me to attack.

Since then, I've been hoping for a chance to return the favor. But ... I usually forget about it and quickly forfeit when there's no realistic hope for victory (due to mana flood, board dominance, overpowered SSR cards, or whatever).

GP seems to be related to the length of the match to an extent. However, I have no qualms about forfeiting on turn 5+ when its pretty clear I have no chance. Why waste both of our time? I do genuinely try -every- match up to that point, though. I would imagine you get more GP as the winner from getting into another match quickly than you would from just dragging out an inevitable match, anyway.

Sza confirmed for not wanting to play vs me since I always go until the last life point. :p

Chances are pretty good you wouldn't be the one on the losing end. I also don't care in the rare case I'm actually winning and my opponent wants to try til the bitter end or forfeit either way.

From my own observations, you get far more points from going to the last life point than someone forfeiting early. I tend to just hit end turn repeatedly when it's clear I'm way over matched.

I was getting 1250~ from fighting people at that level and winning but if they forfeited it was <1000

Re: [Nutaku] Angelic Saga

Yeah, I understood that early on, but I guess I didn't realize how much people appreciate it. I suppose I'll just end my turns from now on; it doesn't really take much more of my time to just end turn constantly (maybe an extra minute or so).

Then again, if we're in a competitive environment, shouldn't I be trying to screw others over? (I'm joking...sorta, heh).

well, I look at it this way.. it's bad enough I'm being forced to play against people mostly out of my league from the start, so why should I not only waste my time, but help feed them to make them even stronger?

Re: [Nutaku] Angelic Saga

I can't fucking compete with Onyx
Maxed Kira with never give up is really the only solution I have for her, since Onyx costs 12. The only problem will be whether or not you have a never give up out already, or if you even have a maxed Kira in hand. Alternatively Banish the bitch, or bait with All for One, all of these are R cards of course, so you actually have a chance to get them.

I don't have a maxed Kira. I have three Kiras, one of them lv 30, but no materials to upgrade. I don't have Banish, I don't survive long enough for All For One to mean anything, except in even matchups, which happen about, oh, 1-in-20. I just played Health is Wealth again, who is 12th, and I'm.. around 180th. I tried my damn hardest, even had a decent-ish starting hand for once, but once the Onyx came out, that was it. No hope whatsoever of recovery.

Haste and card draw are king in this game, and I'm sorely lacking both. I have two Natalies, one Emily, and the Kiras. Only one of the Natalie's is leveled, so that one and the Emily are in my deck.

Yeah, I got lucky really with that draw then, if I hadn't drawn Onyx you would have beat me. I thought I was going to lose when you got my Sakura and you still had that face down Ryumei and a trap.
