Which is why it's even more unfortunate if these units get sent to the gatcha instead of allowing us the chance at CRing them through events, they just become overcosted niche versions of units you'd actually want to pull in gatcha who are now competing with them for drop chance

i hope Nutaku learns from this situation.

Also i was thinking on starting a petition to make her a normal Black Healer (cost wise) i mean...take out that extra cost...

also. almost all plat event units can be released during Gold Rushes. (like DMM is doing right now.)

Honestly I just wish they'd cost reduce Cloris...especially since I doubt they have any indication of ever giving us her event (Even as a revival/repeat, since we never formally had it go begin with) just freaking cost reduce her what the hell were they thinking gimping us with her so badly

Cloris will have events and worst case scenario well get her at the Trading house.
yes she is a good Witch and will most likely become a staple in your team.... (she is on my team on DMM) however we will get other witches with time.
there is a half elf Witch coming (maybe in next update), another Plat witch (loli Witch), another Gold witch (santa girl) and Elza.
well get enoug witches for that one map....

I'd be happy with that, no arguments here.
I think it would make her more desirable at least, though it would pretty much seal the deal and we'd likely never get her event as the trade off.

Well Xovian that's because people blindly follow the JP guide and they are wrong. For example, on EN right now Calliope >>>> Cloris.

Whether the unit starts off as +2 cost from event is irrelevant, how relevant is the average cost of unit by end of event without SC spend.

On EN since there is no event, Liana costs +2 and has a niche skill. Nobody would be happy rolling such a trap instead of another black unit they don't have, so I think people are treating her fairly.

Niche or not, I think people will sing a different tune when vampire girl blows by all their units when they were "doing so well" and then more than half the enemy army walks by them cause all their units cant act, and no longer block. I may have been under leveled for that DMM event, but I can tell you with out a doubt, I really REALLY wished I'd had Liana for that event.

But what do I know /shrug

To be sure, if Liana in gatcha had a normal cost, people would be MUCH more receptive.

She's no Majuradeth or Elza or w/e with subpar stats and truly of "false" rarity.

The tune people will be singing is that of ragequit if they get fucked over if Liana is gatcha only. /shrug

After taking a quick glance at the thread, I was amused at the post about "false" Platinum units.

Comparing Event Platinum units to their Premium Platinum counterparts is a weird topic. Here is what I find wrong with this discussion. You are assuming everyone will have the Premium Platinum unit they can compare their Event Platinum unit to. This is not something everyone can do. The other thing I find wrong is you assume they will not try to get cost reductions for those event units. Why are you comparing units at their highest cost and not their possible cost? Instead of thrashing on units and not giving them a fair look, you should ask whether it will be helpful or not for players to farm.

It's like comparing every archer to Nanaly. It makes every archer look bad instead of weighing in on how good they can be for the average player.

The reason the conversation was brought up is because in general event units are only fairly weighed against premium exclusives because they're easier to min-cost provided we actually get their event if event only units get sent straight to the gatcha then all they do is serve as landmines as undervalued equivalents of existing units. Clavat already provided examples. If more events are skipped those units will likely end up in the gatcha because I highly doubt Nutaku would just give us the event units (Too charitable, lol).

Also if they were going to give cost reductions for those units, where are they or when would they add them? Cloris is as of now stuck at her default cost unless you give her CR Fairies and Liana is stuck at her un-CR'd value - these are the only two units of which we have examples of either skipping their event (Liana's was later in the game's lifespan obviously) . Nutaku has given absolutely 0 indication that they even consider that a problem let alone any indication that they're looking into "fixing" the issue by just CRing them by default, the alternative is you have the luck of the Gods and roll multiple Lianas to CR her or pray that we eventually get her event and a revival event for Cloris (Or that she's offered in the trading post).

Other than Liana, where has there been conclusive evidence they will add more event units to the Premium Summoning? They should have already gotten a lot of negative feedback over Liana being in there. Do you believe they will keep doing it for more negative feedback? What makes skipping events more likely for Nutaku to add them to the Premium summon? I'm not trying to defend Nutaku here. People are just jumping to conclusions immediately just because of one thing, when they can wait and see if they improve after obtaining feedback.

As for Cloris, she has never appeared in the Trading Post in the Japanese version. Since her set of missions was changed to be a tutorial missions available to all new players, there is some doubt that there will ever be a revival for her event. Even I, who started around the time they added the tutorial emergency event missions, have Cloris with 0 cost reduction yet I don't feel entitled to having her with some cost reductions. The closest possibility players have is a gold rush style event where they can possibly obtain one copy as a completion reward. You shouldn't expect game developers or publishers to cater to your every need. There are event units that I want in the Japanese version, but I doubt I'll ever get them because I started late.

So what, you expect them to skip units and then not try to sell the units back to us and instead just remove them from the game entirely? Not having units in the game at all is probably the only way to make people madder than having stuff that's supposed to be free sold back to us.

As for Cloris never appearing in trading post - Liana never appeared in gatcha in the Japanese version, unit rewards were replaced compared to the Japanese version, etc. They can make sensible changes if they want to, they just haven't chose to do any.

On the 4th try finaly managed to beat Spirit rescue H(Thank you 50CC10 Aria)
Got 5 Crystal i needed for roll and... Rolled another garret. now i have 3 of them. Probably need to start working on him now, with all this CR potential...

Don't need Liana.... Got five rogues to deal with that shit. Others have at least three unless for some reason they decided to waste their silvers.

With having access to Dorania probably not. Granted this Platinum HA is a situational unit, and as much as I love the fact she has more defense when her skill is active she is really only useful for boss fights.

Dorania is expensive as hell though, and after CC if i get 2 skill ups on Garret - he will get x1.5 damage boost on skill, thats quite decent i think... still is there any more opinions? maybe it's just me who think that he would be decent HA.

Well he can serve the purpose. The issue is he is an awkward offensive tank. Unlike say Deine who has good Defenses due to being a black unit or the Plat HA we might get who have better defenses then Deine while her skill is active... Garrett has less defenses then Leeanne and just barely beats out Bernard. In that regard he falls behind at what he is suppose to do as a tank. Which is take damage. Other units are the comes who are suppose to kill the targets not him. Since he was given the ability to take out target by being offensive he lacks the defense and take more damage then he should for his cost as a gold heavy armor.

For gold / Platinum HA, it think this how we should look at:
Gold:
1st Bernice is what ppl usually love the most being HA that focused on def and her def is highest even compared to platinum HA. Bing gold itself make it her easier to CR as well. She usually being used to tank boss mob or tons of hurtful lttle thing (like those avenger mob)
2nd: Garret, this HA is focused more to atking, he still have quite reasonable defense to make him tanky and with all the atk power and HA aspd he can help clear small--> medium unit easily while tanking them

Platinum:
Julius: Most ppl also love this guy for HA that able to tank anything. His main focus is his super huge Fatness (high HP almost hit 4000) and his awakening is magic resist. This basically counter HA problem of being killed by magic, but due to his high hp and MR he can tank everything alot easier.

Maribelle: The event unit, the most think ppl notice is how OP her skill making her atk / def 2x during the duration, but this come with a cost that her base status is really low even lower than gold unit. The good new is her cost is like that of a gold unit rarity that 1 less cost for platinum.
For HA she can be alot of problem and mostly use just 1x skill use then withdraw, not so great for ppl who wanna tank last wave for 3-5 mins (this happen alot in JP just so u know due to no space unit deploy)
Just so ppl know that even she used her skill vs Bernice with skill, Bernice still have higher def. Personaly i think she is more of atk focus instead of def and timed atk at that
