Between all the copies I used to CC my Adeles/Despara/Belinda, and now with Mehlis, I am out. Still have several Mehlis I need to cc as well as Garania.

I think you nailed it. It seems the less desire you have to obtain something or when you've already given up all hope, poof it appears. But if you really want or need something, it always seems to be miles away. Whether it's unit, plat armor, spirits...they all follow this path.
