Anyone knows is Tactics instructor Katie (4 star, gold) or Tactician Jerome (5 start, silver) better?

I CCed Katie and she's lvl 21 now, my archer is lvl 36 and it takes ages to lvl Soma up now. Then I rolled Jerome from the 5 crystal roll he is lvl 16 and his ability a reinforcement III which is a level higher than Katie's. Even being 5 lvl below her, Jerome's stats is way better than Katie's so who is gold better than silver? or is stars more important?

But I must say I use both of them as swordsman and its ridiculous amount of extra unit points

A few things to keep in mind about the difference between Katie and Jerome.

Katie is a gold so leveling her is much easier and as a female unit her affection bonuses are higher and easier to increase than a male unit and as she gets DEF as her bonus she is more of a blocking unit.

Jerome on the other hand gets more attack yes but falls far behind in terms of def (almost by 100 points with both maxed) while being harder to level and CC.

Lastly about abilities when Katie CC's she gets the same ability as Jerome that reinforces +15.

There both good units for different reasons but just because Jerome is a Platinum don't count out Katie female units are almost always stronger than males.

TO EVERYONE WHO IS TALKING SHIT ABOUT THE PRICE.

go and play brave frontier. there you have a low chance of getting a good unit wich will be made worthless in less than ONE FREAKING MONTH!. in aigis we get FREE UNITS, FREE ROLLS, AWESOME GAMEPLAY!.

check some videos. protoscope wasted over 100 dollars in getting Zellha a unit wich was OP for less than one month. aigis is balanced and a good game to enjoy.

btw BF and Aigis have the same price for each crystal/gem.

even if you get jerome keep katie around she is a good usefull unit to use.

Create a choke at the intersection with mages and a healer in the middle right platform, I place my archers in the middle and bottom right, and have witches at the tippy top of the map.

Once the armors near the end show up summon some units like a Duelist or another high HP/DEF unit and try to cut them off from the main force. This does two things - the wolves/smaller enemies will run ahead and get killed and the armors will spend more time in your ranged attack meat grinder. If your units holding off the armors start to die withdraw them and then summon a new one in the same place ASAP (And then repeat). The trick to killing mass wolves lies in the mages, the trick to beating armors lies in prolonged magic attacks.

I think this already metion before again and again...
What i think make aigis really good game even all those low rarerity unit have their usefulness.
Trust me that u cant just blitz trough with a deck all black, specialy when you can barely cost reduce them with all the multiple copy.
Yes, we know the event still not out yet since it just started not even 2 weeks old. But to everyone here who played in DMM they know that there always have 2-3 event out at same time even 1 of the period end another 1 will up making the game quite addictive (and stressful due to drop rate )
Even in my JP aigis i still use 4 silver and 4gold unit (due to max cost reduction -3), there even some black unit i didnt even bother to touch.

Next regarding katie.... She is a gold defensive soldier, which you most likely deployed 1st for call reinforcement. When she CC-ed her call reinforce will become 15, but the most important think is her cost is just right to deploy as soon battle start (you will really love her when she CC-ed with -3 cost can deployed straight away).
As for platinum, well i kinda given up on cost reduction on platinum /black... it just hard to get copy on them and expensive even they pop out at demon crystal use

Being critical about something isn't the same as hating on it. I acknowledge that Nutaku has every right to sell premium currency for whatever seems fair. I'm not even salty about what I consider to be overcharging. I've only stated that the current price point is so far above what I consider reasonable that instead of getting a marginal amount from me (like I spend on other freemium games) I cannot justify ANY purchases in this game. Also, just because there are worse examples of overcharging doesn't mean that the current one isn't bad to a lesser (but still significant) degree.

Completely agree with that point of view. I see it in lots and lots of games.

Anyway, besides the cost for crystals, this game is made so u can enjoy it without spending a single penny. I've been playing as free player on the jp version for a year and doing quite well. I can complete almost all events.
As I see it, the limited resources is 50% of the game. If I had unlimited stamina (a lot of crystals) it would be boring, just grinding maps all day. But that's just because I like strategy and micro managing

Wait i thought you could only get Katie through the tactics guide thing? You can get enough to cost reduce her 3 times?

there are ways to Cost reduce her, mostly using a certain SUPER MEGA RARE fairy. however youre better of saving it....
also a lot of people replace her with Aria since she can be CR to maximum with ease...

thats just the mega rare fairy. the super rare mega fairy is so elusive you can only get one at a time i think

Time fairys (cost-reduction) are indeed extremely rare, so far i think its only been available in two events over at the JP version (not counting the re-runs)

Rainbow fairys (skill increase) show up every once in a while as drops or rewards from high-difficulty event maps or the dailys.

Um.... i just making example personaly i didn't even know katie cant be summoned.... for this im sorry for giving wrong info but yeah time fairy is xtreme rare.
Aria is another gold soldier that have skill call reinforcement like katie, the only difference is while katie affection goes to def and awakening 2% def to deployed / aria stat is more to atk with affection +atk and awakening 2% atk to deploy.
The 1 i have in JP is aria -2 cost atm and abusing their event (50 revival crystal) trying to lower the cost even more

Well playing game basicaly is just to kill time and i find that aigis its a fun game to play.

Usually the gold units first, but CC silvers occasionally so you're not overwhelmed with high cost units. In the future, you need something similar to the following:

2~3 Healers*
2 Soldiers
2 Heavy Armors
2 Witches
2 Mages
2 Archers
1 Valkyrie
1~2 Bandits/Rogues/Other duelists

*Don't neglect the healers. Even if you have 1 CC healer, get one more CC'd!

You don't have to follow it exactly. For example, if you have someone like Sybilla or Sherry, then a Valkyrie isn't necessary although it's nice to have a duelist that deals physical damage. It's also not necessary to have 3 healers, but having a 3rd healer will help eventually in case a difficult event mission appears. Just keep this in mind and be prepared. Instead of having 3 strong units, you'll want a whole team of strong units.

There are also other unit types, but you'll be adding those eventually.

So I saved up 26 or so crystal on my 1st roll nanaly account and couldn't resist rolling 2 more after I increased capacity...
