Re: Monster Girl Quest: Paradox

so i'm guessing based on all these complaints that ya'll don't know that many recruited monsters have additional scenes in the pocket castle if you raise their affection. scenes you will not find normally in the monsterpedia or from fighting them.

After you finish the first area with the pink slime and have Luka's childhood friend join you go to the east in the starting village and you'll see a slime girl in the poison swamp. After you save her you get the ability to talk to other monster girls in battle which allows you to have a % chance to recruit them after the fight.

Also for 4 bandit girls -

Goblin - Go to the NE house in Iliasburg after you beat them, then catch her in town
Dragon - Get iron ore at the bottom of the mining town's mine, bring it back to her in Iliasburg
Lamia - Beat the harpy dungeon (?)
Vampire - No clue

Other girls who I don't know if you can recruit them -

Harpy Queen, Harpy Sisters, Nun Slug

well i stop playing after illias port,
and have no idea about that affection stuff,

and even if it would have a million cgs from hundred different artist,
all focused around shota and femdom shota
(and all the other stuff someone can do to a little boy):(

it won't be even close as epic like the original mgq serie that's for sure,:)
(nothing can beat a little overpowered half angel on his journey to slay, demon lords and gods in intense shota raping battles):D
(its sounds even better than god of war I-III or emc)

they should youst have made it like the mgq parts youst with 2-4 different storylines (many choices and endings)
and more new monster and cgs,:)

but no they made this trashy rpg even though they never made a rpg before:(
(no experience)

Paradox Quest has that same great storyline though. Didn't you even play the translated demo Dargoth had out to get some of the story? If you didn't think the game was good about five minutes in to just try and figure out whats going on and why, then... I have no idea what you were looking for.

EDIT:
Not to mention this is only part 1 of 3 games.

guess i wanted something as good as the original mgq,
and not a rehash bad made rpg with the same old monster and cgs,

thad rpg stuff with the planless walking around and endless spamming monster,
and boring rpg battles, doesn't fit to the original epic mgq:(
it's just doesn't feel like it (if you know what i mean):)

but i guess the devs lost it (probably because of all the new artist)
or they just need fast money,(to bad):(

Guys, honestly, I think we're long past the stage where we'd be better off just ignoring anything Anonymous has to say. He's just going to keep repeating the same complaints over and over again in every single thread he's ever going to be in.

I'm starting to wish there was a blacklist function on this website because holy fuck this is getting old.

A bit more on topic, I personally like the game. While I admit I don't quite like the vibe that it was rushed as so many CG's were just rehashes it's been an enjoyable experience overall.

I imagine its more that since this is part 1, nothing super different has happened yet. We're more or less retracing steps of part 1. There's some weird things, but I somehow imagine part 2 and part 3 will start having some more new things showing up once we get into new regions.

The Nun Slug is recruitable, I just kept fighting her over and over again in the tower while keeping friendship at 100 (its highest).

God fucking damn it are there seriously more SLUGS?

I can think of no more repulsive idea than a slug-themed enemy in a hentai game. The notion that they made MORE enemies themed around a creature that is synonymous with repugnance and insignificance is pretty appalling.

Re: Monster Girl Quest: Paradox

repulsive enemys is a point in mgq. its like the fat otaku of the game cept you don't wanna get raped by it then it somehow gets lucky and forces you down. and most of the enemys are fetish based.

i repeat myself because sometimes peoples here doesn't seems to quid understand my point,
or what im trying to say for some reason, (maybe i'm bad at explaining)

and i don't make the exact same complaints in every thread,
(i prefer quality over quantity):)
and someone has to say if something is bad,;)

it's also a shame that it seems that i'm the only one here who thinks:
thad this game has nothing from the original mgq feeling and is just trash

edit: here is a better explanation
to understand the problem we must compare bot games:

Story:
mgq series:
has luka as a little boy who want to be a hero and beat the demon lord so monster and humans can live together,
ending up as a half angel half undead/elementary team up with the demon lord to kill the evil goddess,:D

paradox:
luka team up with a loli demon lord or goddess to turn them back in the adult form so they get their full power back the end:(

game play:
mgq series:
you go through a straight storyline with many choices and endings,
easy going between locations and relevant npc by clicking on them:)

fight the way through by beating, one monster girl of every kind in shota rap battles
including all her sexual skills and cgs,
also able to surrender to their skills,:D
there also is the possibility to avoid fighting

paradox:
you walk around without a plan with many areas full of endless spamming monster,
hundreds of npc who have absolutely nothing useful to say,
over 20 classes and jobs youst to open a chest:(

and you build up a huge party of all monster girl and character you encounter but only 4 can actually fight at the same time,
fighting endless spamming hordes of the same monster girl in short battles to get money and lvl for all of them:(

paradox also has many cgs from different artist and most of them are also from the original mgq serie

another big problem is thad paradox is made by rpg maker and mgq serie by wolf flash,
what makes mgq just look better to:)
(spoilers are op):)

but you're right i'm posting too much here:(
so if anything is still unclear about my opinions pm me please:)

Re: Monster Girl Quest: Paradox

Aside from anyone who still complaining or disappointed, i still find MGQ Paradox enjoyable, reuse of CG, why not? And it's not like 50% is reuse anyway. The storyline also is good for the beginning. You can't expect the INCREDIBLE story in just part 1. If you remember MGQ part 1 also didn't really have major impact at first, Part 2 have.

They are really trying to focus more on the gameplay! And i really love it because it remind me of Suikoden by recruiting monster girls! I do believe somewhere there will be separate storyline and ending regarding you choose Alice or Illias or any major character later.

I really find it is very rude to say this game as trash when someone just find it not in their expectation...

Re: Monster Girl Quest: Paradox

Well I didn't mind the game too much, I enjoyed it quite a bit, I saw some new monsters and got new CGs which is always nice, and even though some CG were re-used, we were warned that there would be old cgs during development so I didn't mind.

The only gripe I have with it is the gameplay, its just a grind fest through and through, leveling takes ages, fighting is kinda fast but sometimes unfair, specially if you take Illias instead of alice, Ilias will basically teach you a worthless sword attack that does three hits at random enemies, each hit weaker than your normal hit, where Alice would teach you demon decapitation which would pretty much one shot most enemies and do more damage than the three hits of ilias's sword technique combined.

Not only that but combat is kind of hit and miss as well, you can be as leveled as you can be (gods have mercy on you because its going to take a good while to grind to even reasonable fighting levels if you are on HARD or above), Enemies will still hit for 60 damage sometimes on the ENTIRE PARTY, and 60 damage is over 50% of your HP most of the time, and they can spam it.

I ended up getting more frustrated than anything because an enemy would constantly spam their heavy hitting attack (frigging pig girls doing 80+ damage on their heavy swing) and flat out one shot everyone in the party, its just silly.

For now i've only went in depth on Luka's skillls, and pretty much all of his sword skills except for demon decapitation suck, they're either weaker than your standard attack, or hit in random directions or hit twice for like 4 SP which is an absurd ammount, you do however unlock "Hero skills" or I don't know the name of that do MUCH more damage and specially a 4 SP one that hits all enemies for over 300+ damage. (THe skills marked with golden stars on his skills) THOSE are the only worthwhile abilities to use, everything else is utter garbage.

So yeah, rant over, more rants to come as I play more ;)

Probably because they're showing images across the development of all three episodes on the blog, not just the first.
