) this is THE game I'm looking forward to.

(Especially since those two are overdue. )

Really looking forward to exactly what role the sex-related stats are going to play in terms of the narrative.

Well, in regards to SIMPLE HOUSE's next game, as far as I am aware from his latest blog post dated 9 February, the house he was residing in is being/has been demolished and he is currently looking for a new home, so there will be no updates for some time to come.

As far as I remember the payment scene happens as long as you don't have the money (I got it in like day 14 or something since I kept faffing around). I think there's supposed to be a subsequent scene that happens if you try to get the event again, which implies progression but no repetition, hence...a little worrying.

As for Simple House: I know. I don't know where he (she? they?) live and hope they can get affordable and comfortable housing soon.

Why would you want repetition? You can always rewatch the scene thru the Izth Video option on the menu (which isn't enabled in the demo)

Repetition in the sense that "this action has continuous presence in the story."

Let's say, hypothetically:

You get a scene for failing to pay the money on time, and it progresses onto the second scene, for a total of five scenes, and every scene gives the girl some H-related stats (which it currently does).

What I'm worried about when I say repetition is if after scene five those events either no longer happen or stop contributing to her stats. Yeah, from a porn perspective it's perfectly fine, but for a game that's about taking your time and exploring and slowly building up to unlock new things, having a portion of the game just fade out of existence is heartbreaking.

Ah, I see what you mean then. I'm sure there will be some elements of it, but will be fairly limited in scope compared to other games that, as I mentioned before, fully "explore-the-possibilities-of-turning-the-MC-into-a-total-slut".

With a promise of around 40 base CGs though, the game should have some volume in its content. Just hope the game isn't entirely about paying off your debt.

Whats the deal with the tape you find anyway? I swore it's like you found out on that cultist, which would be odd place to find that kind of tape...

The 'tape' after the cultist fight is what Ooi-kun (the male student) sees online, on a hidden Youtube-knockoff website called "Ith-Video".

If you head over to the bar as Ren, you can hear a rumor about the website from a "Plump Youth":

"Have you heard about Ith-Video? Apparently every single video uploaded there will have their timestamps messed up. If we go by the dates there's videos uploaded decades ago, or even in the 22nd century.

The ones I've seen include a 'historically-inaccurate' video from 300 B.C. But geez, the whole thing looked so real. Maybe it was actually filmed back then... I mean... it really gives you that sort of impression...

I have this crackpot theory that it's somehow saving or storing things from a parallel world... Access to that video site is pretty intermittent, and it's not like just everyone could access it either. I don't think we even see the same videos if we do. It's a pretty mysterious website."

So yeah, the video tape is probably from the future, courtesy of the the time-travelling abilities of the Great Race of Yith.

Also, it lets you access the CG/Scene Recollection mode at the safehouse (not available in the demo though).

Also, first level is just a tutorial (and the second as well), so they're intended to be cakewalks to ease the player into the game. In-game reason, well, the protag hasn't been screwed over by the Yakuza yet.

Things get 'harder' once you get into the main game, due to the need to manage resources.

Just a word of warning to those transferring a save from the demo, but depending on where you are in it, you might miss out on filling two scenes in the recollection option, and your two new party members might be broken (unless you like having two more carbon copies of the MC).

Huh, that explains why the sub-characters have the exact same skillsets.

After playing through the game:

It really is a dungeon crawler with sex on the side.

Really miffed about the sex scenes having no real impact on the storyline. The values are there (and the scenes that repeat do add values, yay~) but ultimately the sex part and the game part are very cleanly segregated.

Also while the scenes do have variation, it's entirely text based. The Japanese-illiterate among us (me) won't get as much out of them.

(There's a sex-based ending you get and the game warns you when you're about to get it, which is nice.)

Apart from that...

It's about as fun as I expected. :3 Wish the sex-side of it was more developed, but eh.

Oh don't worry. At least for the parts where you sell yourself out for money or to pay interest, the text is very much copy and paste.

EDIT: On another note, thank god the extra party members thing gets fixed in New Game+. Got a little worried there.

Gotta say though, really enjoying this game. Always had a soft spot for dungeon crawlers.

At the very least, there is a cutoff point in the last dungeon where the game will warn you of being a point of no return (and thus recommend you make another save file for it). Beyond that, I don't know the details on how long you can wait on paying off the debt before triggering other endings.

I'm not too certain about the cut-off either. There's a day counter but there didn't seem to be any mention of how many days they needed the money by, at least during the tutorial explanation stuff. However the money lender lady says that you need to pay interest on the loan every week (500k first two weeks, 1mil thereafter). If you don't have the required money, you'll need to do a 'movie' instead. The kind of movie you'd expect, obviously. You can pay back the principal of the loan at her office.

By the way, this game is great so far. I've been having a dungeon crawler itch since Lilitales got announced, and this is the perfect game to scratch it. Praise Cthulu.
