software to arrange HGames

i don't know if its the right place to ask about this please help me out
sorry about my bad English

anyone know a software that can arrange ur HGames

i have alot of games and its in a big mess now (english names - cgs - japanese names- rpg games - HAnime) u all know what i mean) and i have no idea how to arrange them

i was hoping for software like anidb o'matic or manually software

you are already <strike>dead</strike> screwed

there are programs for making a catalog of your files, but unless you can search for every rpgmaker file, iso or whatever format your games are in, it has to be done manually.

This is such a crazy coincidence as I've just finished arranging my H-games. Thought it'd only take me awhile but I've actually been at it since 5pm yesterday (did go out for dinner and supper though), I'll be pretty upset if there was indeed a super convenient mean though!

In serious news though, even if there was a programme recognizing the terms dlsite uses for RPGs, CGs, ADVs etc and could dump them into separate folders, you'd still have difficulty finding a particular game. Pretty sure even big names such as Illusion, if left as イリュージョン aren't identified immediately. I'd recommend you do some sorting yourself (not being prickly because I just did ) because in the process you actually get rid of games you don't like, organize duplicates and put them in a more recognizable and personalized format, maybe you'll even find games you haven't played yet, I know I did!

as i thought its going to be manual arranging i am doing the same with ur screenshot co. name then game name jap and eng but the problem i have lots of then like 2TB of HGames >_>; this will take ages and there is games like the exe file name is play and no co. in the start how the hell i am suppose to find this ??? its going to be long time in hell for me ^^;

There's actually a software on dlsite (and on dmm funny enough) that can categorize items bought on dlsite. Sadly it's japanese only, and I ahvent tried it (seriously, why pay for something I can use a mIRC script to sort files out?)

A mIRC script...?

Create a batch file (open notepad and then change extension from *.txt to *.bat) and write: dir /b /s > list.txt

Put the batch file in the folder you want listed, run it, voilá.

Anyway, for RPG Maker Hentai games released on DLSite (or other kinds, if you keep them all in the same folder) I suggest something along these lines:

RJ on the outside, image of the game inside serving as display picture.

Ah I shoulda done this a long time ago. I forget what games I even have sometimes. Gets old pretty fast going through them all. I'm also adding the version number to the folder title so I remember to DL updates. Only sad part is when the game doesn't come with a unique image icon to use. I don't just want the flash logo for example.

Well on the bright side, if I release a game, I'm now aware of how I should title my folders and make sure to have a custom file icon and image for people who like to organize their games.

Edit: Ah I just noticed that DLsite has a decent image to use as an icon. Gotta convert it with an image program, but at least it's helpful, though still a bit small.

If I have it set to folder picture instead, it doesn't look as good as Heaven's, guess that's my operating system. Tried to look up ways to change them to no avail. Looks like an open folder with only the partial image shown. Curse you Vista... Ah it's like I can't win, folder icon only accepts icons and folder pictures only accepts pictures, so I'm left with some looking like folders and others as the game icon.

Yeah here's the 2 folder types I can get basically:

Chronos Fear and Rondo Duo came with their own game icons, so I just Properties, Customize, and used Change Icon in the Folder Icon option to get that effect.

Most of the rest didn't come with their own, so I had to find an image to use as an icon. If the game folder doesn't have a suitable image you can check DLsite. If you go to the artist's game release page (Where they show all the games released by them), there are sample images for all of their games about the size of a thumbnail, DL'd those and converted the .jpeg to .ico with gimp. For whatever reason they don't use the entire icon window and end up much tinier than the original though. Not like the aspect ratio is different or much different.

Takes for fucking ever through the entire process, but eh, at least it looks nice. Better than the images coming out of the folder for sure. Now to do that for my other hundred games...

yah it look much beter now i will try to do it like this see how it will look in win8 and start arranging my stuff too -_-

ben reading this thread and i'm wondering why someone needs a program to arrange his games,

i just put them in my h game folder there under numbered folders first
(like 1,2,3 and so on each with about 100 games folders)
ther also is a extra folder for my bf (battle fuck) games,

the games are also stored as their circles, by putting the games of each circle in a folder named by their circle,
for single games or these without a circle i use the rjo number or names and put them in one of the h game folders,


i also put a 1 or , before the folder names of the games i like so the good stuff is on top of the list,
i handle my other collections (movies, games, music, porn similar)

as u can see i have more that 2000 title to checkout tried duplicate file finder but the problem is with web games and RPG maker game they r all got the same files ^^ and i am 100% sure that there is 25% duplicates and 25% crap ^^; and its my bad for not arranging them sooner ^^;

I've done mine by hand. I put them in alphabetical order by standardized translated titles: English DLSite or Google translate. That way if I'm looking for something, I don't have to guess which translation I used. I also take a screenshot of the title screen to use as a folder.jpg. On my todo list is a PowerShell script to keep the folders even and add new games for me.
