Ah, crap. The problem in instructions comes from the fact that there are 2 different ways to stall there... In any case, I've amended the advice to be clear that you should only log out/log back in if stalling happens for a long period of time, i.e. > 5 minutes.

However, on my laptop (not a powerful machine), while there is a pause at 98% it's typically less than 15 seconds. I'm curious: how long is it stalling for that people think it's crashed? I generally go for about a minute or so before assuming a crash, but how long are people seeing? I guess I'd just assumed that people wouldn't be that impatient, but if people are seeing much longer pauses then there is evidently a problem that I've missed.

My experiences with 4.22 has been about the same as those above. There's a short pause at 98%, then it hits 99% and just stays there. I left it for about 25 minutes before killing it and trying it again. Still stuck at 99% again, so I killed it and rebooted the machine. Try again, still hangs at 99%. I'll let it sit there for a long time to see if it ever progresses.

One other problem I ran into is: When selecting the patch file, it does not glob on .zip files correctly. They just don't show up in the file pick window at all. I had to type in the patch file name to get it to continue.

I'll update if it ever finishes the application of the patch file. This is on a i7-970 3.2Gz CPU (6 core) with 24Gb ram.

Update: The RPGMakerTrans.exe processes seem to be completing according to the taskmanager. There were a bunch when it kicked off, now it's down to 5 procs after about 10 minutes. They are not eating much memory, the biggest is 26Mb & the average is 16Mb.

So uhm, does anyone have an older (4.1) version of habisain's RPGMaker Trans? I'm one of those guys that are stuck at 99% patching, and figured that perhaps using an older version (I remember patching the demo without problems) would solve the issue, and since habisain removed versions older than 4.21 from his bitbucket...

When its stuck at 99%, does it say Finished below the beginning of the progress bar?

If your credit card is not working on dlsite or you do not want to bother navigating the japanese interface you can always buy it on booth. They are better about accepting foreign credit cards and have an english interface.

Nope, for me it says "patching game".

I tried it with 4.21 also, exact same result. Seems to me that RPGMakerTrans spawns a bunch of processes (probably one per data file to get patched) but some of them just never seem to complete and report back to the main loop.

Input keys Q,S,W,D,Shift accordingly in the prologue of your bedroom. Stand facing the window, hold q then tap z once, release q, hold s then tap z once and then release z, do it for all the 5 key input to get the godly debug tool. You will know if you got it when you hear a sound play. Input wrongly, all will be reset, so to make sure all is reset, hold q then spam z.

Got both of these, but also got a scene where if you walk into the crowd in front of the animal show (a space opens and there's an obvious circle indicator that there's a scene), then you get a grope scene, which I have 2 parts of

Anyone knows how we can trigger the scene in the crowd at the festival? I only know a female npc in the inn talks about that.

so i just killed the 3 cultist and the high priest says soemthing che! and gonna run away, but im just stuck there, and he is standing still infront of table and i cant move or anything, any help here ?

So, he knows there is a issue, so just wait until it's fixed. There are plenty other games you can play while ya wait. x3

i think people are already talking about this bug. if you skip dialog at that boss it could get stuck there and you need to load another save

Figured I'd chime in and say I've got the same 99% issue on v1.01 of the game.

Despite all the people complaining about the 99% bug, I have to say it's encouraging to see Habisain working actively on fixing this, not to mention that all of his work is pro bono in the first place.

Many thanks for your hard work, Habisain! Looking forward to playing this game with your patch.

Anyone know what to do once you first arrive at the gate for the second town? I talked to the guard at the gate and he doesn't move.

I've had it hang at 98% for maybe 3 to 5 minutes, then bump up to 100% and finish with the trial version. With the full version, using V4.22 and the V5 patch (I think, the one prior to experimental), it went up to 99% and stayed there. Waited over 10 minutes, wouldn't hit 100%, however it also told me it finished. So far the game has worked properly though, no errors or crashes. And, to be clear, I'm not running on low end hardware. i7 processor, 16GB RAM, 7200RPM Enterprise class HDD.

Also, thanks for your work on this and your translation tool.
