How exactly do the races at the Colosseum work? I participated in one and it ended with some Roman guy eating my slave.

Well, it would be quite complicated to participate at the Colosseum with current state of translation, if not downright impossible, so I would recommend you to refrain from it.
Basically, each track consists of 12 parts through which you need to navigate your chariot. These parts might be a simple straight road, or more complicated areas like steel jungles (steel columns standing on the road), Russian asphalt (road in very bad condition) and so on. Depending on plot you'll need to take appropriate actions like flipping the whip to ride faster (e.g. on straight road), draw reins to decelerate (to avoid breaking your chariot on bad roads) or navigate (like to avoid steel columns). You'll need to monitor your speed as well, so you don't fall behind.
Before the race you're given the ability to change parts of the chariot, deciding between speed and durability. With durable chariot you may take extra hit without forfeiting the match, on the other hand with faster chariot you'll have more chances at winning. So maintaining the balance is crucial. Before the race you'll be able to inquire stableman about next track so you can configure your chariot accordingly.
Speed of the chariot of course depends on your slave's endurance as well as level of her dressage skill. Temperament of slave has some impact too.

Well, that's about it in regards of Colosseum races.

Re: [SLG] Jack-o-nine-tails

When I start the _en.bat it just comes up blank :S
1/ You need to have downloaded BOTH the resources (images, etc.) and the translated game file (jack_en.qsp). They are two separate downloads.

2/ Create a folder called "game" (or whatever). Move all the resources to that folder. You should now have a folder structure like this :

game
.\Jack_FastQSP_en.bat
.\!readme.txt
..\FastQSP
..\Jack-o-nine-tails
..\saves
3/ Move the game file (jack_en.qsp) to the ..\Jack-o-nine-tails\ folder.

4/ Launch the Jack_FastQSP_en.bat file.

5/ Profit ?

Re: [SLG] Jack-o-nine-tails

So... many questions. Help me, anyone? Thanks.

Food - seems like no matter what, the food I give my slaves taste bad. How do you improve this?

Exercise/physical training - I noticed that sometimes/some games I have this option but most of the time they aren't there or are greyed out.

Money - Is there any way of earning it besides selling slaves? And how do you sell slaves? Again, like above, sometimes the option (tick and cross) appears but most of the time, I don't get that option despite having a slave of proper ranking.

No matter what option you choose, it would still be a dry food if there's none to prepare that food. If at the end of the day you get 'blah blah yada yada [F-]' it pretty much means the quality of the food you it. Obviously, slave wouldn't get food of a better quality.
To prepare food you need three things: ingredients (can be bought at Gastronomicon), kitchen (if you play story mode there's no kitchen in starting house, you need to rent another one) and someone to cook (you, your assistant or your slave). Quality of food will depend on corresponding cookery skill.

Exercise/physical training - I noticed that sometimes/some games I have this option but most of the time they aren't there or are greyed out.
To do exercises your slave need to at least have to be 'healthy'. For physical training she needs to be in 'poor health'. Therefore physical training should be available at all times, unless you knocked your slave out.

Money - Is there any way of earning it besides selling slaves?
There's also a way to make a little of money, but that depends on your combat skills and equipment. If you have decent ones, you can patrol Border of the Fogs and capture unbranded slaves. Then you can turn them in the Slave Market and you'll be given 10 to 80 sparks, depending on the quality of the slave. But given the current state of translation I recommend you to be cautious and save before going out - random encounters text is yet to be translated and you can meet a monster that's too tough to be handled, which essentially will lead to game over. (and you need to own slave for this method to work, otherwise you'll just take her in for training).

And how do you sell slaves? Again, like above, sometimes the option (tick and cross) appears but most of the time, I don't get that option despite having a slave of proper ranking.
Make sure that your slave is branded, improve her style and your allure just before you go trying to sell you slave.
Another way to sell - auction at guild house. It's second option from bottom. It's a good way to sell a quality slave, but poor quality will net you even less money, than you could earn from people in the Rome (if no buyers are found, you'll get just 100$ for D rank slave).
Yet another way - selling to subpurchaser. It's second option from the top in Guild house. If your slave meets requirements, you'll have no trouble selling her to him, but be ready that price would be lower than if you tried to sell a slave yourself (300$ for D rank slave).
You can also sell slaves to named NPC (to shop owners, to Colosseum trainer, etc), but they have more specific requirements and they are yet to be translated.

How do you brand?

EDIT: Ah, nevermind. Finally found it.

Re: [SLG] Jack-o-nine-tails

is it because this game isnt in japanesse that i understand less than usual XD?

for the sake of doing it i played with the maximum difficulty guy, and found a foolproof way to pass the first 30 days and come out with profits, skills, and a nice house.
this is a walkthrough+tips for safe gaming

requirements to turn an f slave into d "minimum selling material"
-teach her 4 skills in pink and 1 in blue, the blue skill being what you will sell her as (blue escort doesnt matter for secretary requirements etc...)
-she has to obey a bit: usually the public toilet punishment twice or thrice breaks any dissobidience, however this breaks slaves as well, for only d slaves use this
-must be branded in the tattoo shop of the outcast area
-before selling her try sending her to the beauty salon

"bestest atributes ever maded" shoot for these in auctions
-beauty: plain girl can level up to D level only, its good for this to be low in the beginiing because the price at which you will buy it will be low.
-intelligence:they learn clerical work and rethorical super fast, and the rest of the skills fast. if the slave you buy doesnt have this, reload NOW
-tough: they learn combat techniques fast they last longer in the day allowing for more lessons, really usefull for quick d slave production

avoiding random game overs
-dont take actions with no green stars (death is random at three red stars, however this advice helps with mood as well)
-examine your slave in the medical clinic regularly then reload (desparasite her, sterilization is good, cirgury is not unless you want it for the fetish, and even then is not that great)
-day 10-20-30 and so on are payday, get the money the day before and you'll be k

day 1: buy the house get free slave

after buying the house in the serpentine quarters, returning to the borders of the fog triggers an event where isabella joins you as an assistant, however, training her as a slave is better since you can learn from her sex techniques. you can flog and bond her, and her loyalty is pretty damn high.

you have 9 days to train yourself with her in asects aspect needed, the ideal is petting and oral sex in dark blue and pink flogging/bondage techniques, then after you raise the commodity level of the house two levels in the menu sell her for 500...

day 10: new slave same purposes

buy a cheap obedient slave INTELLIGENCE HELPS TONS and teach her cook and maid skills, you have another 9 days at most if you want to advance fast.
TEACH PERSONALLY with the clothes from the boutique you have a momentaneous +1 in certain skills, and after 5 -8 lessons you teach, the level will go up.
selling this slave for a high price isnt needed, just learn the butler-director-doctor-teacher skills.

Day 20: I CAN HALFYOUR TIME BRO

you can now produce d slaves in 5 days easily, farm the money, get better house if wanted, get better skills, aim for slaves with some skills developed and finally at the end of the month you can start producing c slaves with plenty of time to waste.

Re: [SLG] Jack-o-nine-tails

Not cool man. Some of us train the slaves with care and affection. It hurts me when i must punish them. That may be fast way to train slaves but profit per slave is low and you obviously do lot of reloading in trading square.

Too bad i train my 5th slave and i still know nothing about how to preserve her basic attributes. I only managed to train one B class slave. Other ones even if started with attributes good enough to make B class didnt make it with them.

Pretty much all my slaves lose rank in "nature". That might be cause i choose public use and public toilet as punishment for severe insubordination (really i'm not the type to beat women).
Some of them lose figure after some time (i have their diet set on dry food sometimes with addition of crumbs from the table and set on weight support with nutriceuticals). Maybe rewarding them with rest also supports weight gain?
Some of them lose rank in temperament but i'm not even gonna try which actions lower it.

Also, none of my slaves developed any kind of devotion to me. Even though two of them were having pretty decent life and green mood for a long period of time. Wonder how you can do it.

Yup, would definitely be a deal-breaker if I discovered with the translation that I had to hit my slaves with a baseball bat in the head to get them to really obey (just an example), or treat them worse than a stinking pile of feces each time to successfully sell them with the best results/survive at the end of the day.

I don't mind breaking someone's arms, legs, gouge their eyes out with a spoon, and feed them their own testicles if they hurt my family or someone dear to me. Call me softie, but I do mind gratuitous violence/acting stupid, even in video-games (the butcher thing in-game being already fairly limit).

Okay, i give in. I told myself not to post any for this thread but you just make me undo that.

This is what i learned so far from the game.

First of all to win her totally you need to consider this game like dating sim, yes that's right! For me the first thing i do is to rent a boudoir from the real estate office. It will cost you but it improves their mood and comfort. Then when you get one to train, go to the salon and give her a "spa and massage" and haircut, then go to the botique-fashionable ladieswear buy a light sarafan then botique-shoes buy a soft slippers go home and equip her with it. She will mention she have very comfortable clothes if you speak to her, and her mood should be green(comfortable or positive most of the time) and her daily mood will always be good.

About punishment, DO NOT use degrading punishment under shaming category too much(two or three times at most) or she will lose her nature. And watch how many times you punish her as she may start to fear you too much. Use the spell auspex to see her aura, if she has four or more ruby flash of fear use the spell Cruciato(cost 5 spark). The spell will punish her accordingly without causing fear.

Now under the sleep option remember to let her sleep in the rented boudoir(it doesn't spoil her as far as i know). For food im out of comment. For rules tick only " i'm a master" untill she is obedient enough then untick it(click at the alphabet beside the "estimate:" on top left to check, if there is no "slave is not obedient enough" they you know what to do).

Now comes the difficult part and you better save often as she may lose temperament or will , if she is pridefull (arrogant, haughty, proud, fastidious) check all the box in rules except- you are maid, cook, wash me and toilet. Leave it on and punish her as usually, and her mood will be bad of course. Uncheck all when her pride dropped to open or no complex. She should still retain her will and temperament, if she lose temperament then don't tick the "be silent" rule. If she has poor health or below or you don't like it uncheck the "you are urinal". I will takes days though depending on her pride. Training her "demonstration" skill category seems to help with little harm.

Ohya, use the "Erotic Reward" category if you can, it seems to help.

And finally sorry if my post is messy...

Re: [SLG] Jack-o-nine-tails

Its a really nice game.
These kind of RPG games are my favorite.
It definitely feels like role playing.

Anyway is it possible to change the font?
Also 'Week' should be 'Weak' and a bunch of other typos.

Edit: Also, how did you translate this? I can't understand Russian and I really really really want to extract the text and machine translate it myself just to get what its trying to say and make my experience better.
(Damn, maybe I'll start studying Russian too)

Re: [SLG] Jack-o-nine-tails

Thanks man. I didn't follow the "tick certain rules" thing and I chose to remain in outasts quarter for now, but buying my 6th slave some starting clothes, haircut and spa really tuned her in positively for training and I almost didn't have to punish her. Casting magna manificia the 1st day and one or two cruciato. Then slowly she learned doing stuff from simple housework to more demanding tasks. After some time she got devoted to the master.

On the sidenote I noticed something. I hope I'm interpreting it good.
For my 5th and 6th slave i pursued arena career. My 5th slave won 3rd or 4th battle and croud verdicted that she earned her freedom (among russian stuff there was word "LI-BE-RO!"). And usually that meant my slave departed. I had to lose this LIBERO fights deliberately to keep gaining fame for her. However my 6th slave has 4 ranks in devotion to me and even though there was this LIBERO thing after the battle, seems like she chose to remain with me. If that's the case, having your slave close to you helps you with gladiator route cause fights are every 11 days and you would have to forfeit like one out of every 3 battles.
