Usually when you make a trial of a game that has a grand total of 5 scenes, you tend to make the demo even shorter than the game already is...

Do you really need one? There's an NPC who unlocks all the CG in the forest to the East (I think).

I really enjoy this type of game, but I think most of the enjoyment comes from actually understanding what's going on =/

For that reason, I've started working on a full translation!

I'm not a native Japanese speaker, just someone with an intermediate level understanding of the language, so it takes me a while to get through, but I'm already more than half done. Due to my somewhat limited abilities, I wanted to try translating a game that didn't utilize a lot of difficult language, which, in a twisted kind of way, makes this game perfect.

My understanding is that if I post the translated text files, but not the game itself, I won't be breaking any rules. If I'm wrong about that, please just let me know, and I'll refrain from posting anything.

Not sure how many of you guys like this kind of thing, but I hope that at least a few people will enjoy it.

I'll put up an update when its done.

I originally picked this game up thinking that because it seemed pretty short, I should be able to get through it over the course of a full weekend. I quickly realized how wrong I was, but decided that I might as well keep working to finish what I had started. Working through this game has definitely given me a greater appreciation for the work that translators like you have done

That said, I definitely don't want to commit to any future translations yet, but I would consider it in the future

If your hangup is stripping the text from the game, then you can probably find habisain's rpg maker text stripper. If it's the amount of text you'd have to translate, well... Can't fix that.

I'm actually translating it directly through RPG Maker 2000, going through the text event by event. It's the just the amount of text that makes it take a while. I had originally thought that a small game like this shouldn't take too long to translate, but what I didn't take into account was the fact that because games like this have a limited number of animations, they rely heavily on text to describe to the player what's going on. On one hand, that's a great thing because the text can add a lot more depth to an otherwise simple game, the very reason I decided to translate this in the first place, but, on the other hand, it also means that there is a whole lot of text!

Sorry for the long delay, things have been busy. I've still been working at it little by little.

I do have a question, for anyone familiar with RPG Maker 2000:

Is there any way to change the menu text from Japanese into English?

It has been simple enough to edit the rest of the text in the game, but I haven't been able to figure out a way to change the menus.

I've looked for answers online, but haven't found any solutions as of yet.

I translated his other game in RPG Maker Ace so it's probably different... The menu options in that game was in Database > Terms, but I don't think that's in RPG Maker 2000. In my game some of the menu options like the achievement medals and sound settings were in the Tools > Script Editor, so I'm pretty sure if you dig around in there you'll find the menu items.

Finally finished the full translation!

The only thing that I didn't translate was the replay sequences for the cut-scenes, so if you want to watch those in English again, you will have to do another play through. I just don't have the energy to go through all of that dialogue again -_- "

Of course, due to the nature of this game, I will not be posting a link to a full version of the game, but rather a language patch. Just unzip the file and transfer its contents into the game folder, allowing it to overwrite all of the relevant files.
