Pretty sure this is her first time.
Lame. Not confident enough in my strength to try and advance far enough for more efficient maps, so I'm running the first map for crystals.

Is her AW skill worth skipping some if not all of the fairy and affection dailies for a young account? Or does a setback now outweigh the investment?

Depends on how you perceive the increase in gold.

For missions like the Monday daily, you'll gain 1,500~2,000 gold more per run with Noel/Mia. If you're trying to do the maximum amount of Monday dailies as you can in a day, then that's about 20~25k gold more than you would get without either of them.

For high-tier missions such as the Orient story missions, you'll gain 400~500 more gold per mission. It's a minuscule amount per day if all you did was story mission, but it can be significant over the long term. Over time, she'll pay for her own awakening and can pay for future awakenings.

Noel's and Mia's AW ability also affect gold from Gold Get.

I normally have trouble with managing gold because of awakenings and feeding units excessively, but with Mia I have been able to remain at 100k gold consistently. I used to hate seeing my gold fall under 100k, but now I just know that my gold will go back up at a gradual pace.

If you can afford to do it, then it's worth it even if she has 0 cost reductions. Drop rate increase events happen more frequently than revival events for certain characters. It's kind of doubtful you'll get another chance at her soon unless you are willing to wait 6~12 months for her revival event again.

Some questions from a dmm newbie. I finally have a decent number of CC'ed units for the necessary classes. Now I'm planning to balance increasing their affection and getting enough revival crystals for Noel. Is that a good idea? One thing that plagues in Nutaku is that I don't have any mage above silver so maybe it's my frustration making me want her. I'd have to do the easier maps though which I imagine isn't very stamina efficient. I'm also planning to get a priest warrior from the trading post after seeing some vids use them to good effect and with how the Reanbell event made it look like range unit space is a premium in dmm events. I have a CC'ed Nenya so should I CC Cloris or is one witch enough? What do you guys think? I'm also sitting on a lot of SC which I plan to use when all of that free 60 SC is given, should I just wait for that to see what I can build on?
It is hard to predict, what will be available in future, but I would say if you can get Noel with a reasonable investment, it is worth it. However, don't buy Ether from unit shop - sooner or later she will be available as a regular silver unit drop. Sure, priest-warriors are good, but 100k gold is a lot for new account. Most events aren't as tight on ranged slots as Reanbell, though indeed they pop from time to time. Two witches are useful, sooner or later you will want that, maybe even 3. As for SC - I prefer to spend them on refills, but you need high level to get best efficiency.

First map @@? Can you even get 50 gems on that in time? Look for some good videos for higher tier maps, you will also grab the SCs from first three-star clears.

I think he still can get it off on first map since its really low on the cost, although i agree a higher map would be better.
Its not like you have to get 3 star on it.... as long you got the R. crystal is already more efficient.

PS: i just got myself acc with black omyoji whoever want it, that idiot friend of mine decided to quit so i also have his altair +uzume account now. Decide to play 2 acc from now on (this lucky acc just got another black bandit too so i'm happy about it, lvl 20 pop + skill = 800 atk ok..... brokennn for beginner)

I just listened to your advice, and started trading for copies of Spica to get her 50% cost reduction. I decided to do this since I was already going to feed Reanbell copies of herself from the silver fairies I was farming today to reach LV50 (7 copies raised her to 4/10 and -2; 15 copies left to go).

After I fed Reanbell 2 copies, which failed her 50% cost reduction, I thought I was in a good position to get Spica's 50% by brute force (I don't know how the CPU affects the RNG, so I'm unsure if this is a valid strategy nowadays, but it helped when I was doing the mass copy feeding during the 3x gold+ synthesis bonus back in June).

Spica 3: Cost Reduction and Skill-up!

Spica is now AW52, Mincost and 5/5. She's the first character in my party that has been maxed out from feeding them copies of themself; the only unit that is close to this is Betty at 5/5 -2, and Chloe at 9/10 -5.

In any case, I spent 600 magic crystals for this. While I'm happy I got the skill-up, I really can't say I would recommend purchasing any platinum/black trading post units for the 50% cost reduction. If I didn't feed the two Reanbell copies, I would've had to spend 1k magic crystals on Spica. I can easily imagine others with shiftier luck having to spend 1.4k for a 50% cost reduction. Be careful.

EDIT:
Fed multiple platinum armours and fairies along with a copy of Rorone—since she has no future—and finally my black armour to Spica to reach AW90 (first perfect plat unit). She has 1089 attack with her skill and other buffs now. Hopefully, this will create enough room for all of the fairies and plat armours I'm going to horde next Monday/Tuesday (68 spaces).

You gotta watch out for those goblins, I wonder how good that 9K defence would be against certain rape mode enemies such as the large golems or the dark lord.
It wouldn't do much good past a certain point. All characters will deal at least 10% of their attack no matter how high the defence of the target, which is why the Platinum Vampire Hunter Elizabeth was the strongest physical unit in the game against high defence enemies thanks to her chip damage until they introduced a new system to nerf her. Defence higher than this is only useful for physical ranged attacks that can be nullified, which is 10-50% chance if your defence is higher than their attack, and this only works for classes like archers, ninjas, rear tacticians, vampire hunters, and so on. Pirates, sailors, machinists, magic fencers, and golems with rocket punches among others cannot be nullified with high defence.

Hah, I found the images for the OP defence and attack units:



Did some math with all of the characters that buff defence, and found out that with Skill AW Lian, Katie, Iris, and Berenice, Jelius could probably reach 10k defence as well with Waltz if I'm doing the math correctly.

(Jelius) 611*1.21*1.19*3*2.5*1.3=8577
(Waltz) 334*1.21*1.14*2.5*1.3=1497
(Powers Combined) 10074

Without Jelius's AW Skill, he's merely:
611*1.21*1.19*2*2.5*1.3=5718 (4398 Without Lian's AW Skill.)

With the exception of the Greater Demon, who can only deal 602 without Lian's AW Skill activated, that kind of defence is more than enough to make all physical monsters currently in the game cry tears of sorrow as they're reduced to chip damage for 45 seconds.

EDIT 3:
Oops, found out that with dancers involved, the Prince's skill is not calculated when the dancer's skill is activated. Never knew that after all this time, or I forgot since I don't use dancers very much...

Garbage:
Betty+B. Iris+Prince:
232*1.21*1.07=300
Waltz+B. Iris+Prince:
267*1.21*1.07=344 (Betty's Defence: 334)
Betty + Saint Iris AW Skill + Waltz Skill + Prince:
(232*2.5*1.07)+(267*2.5*1.07)=1334.825 (In-game says 1332)
2.5*1.07=2.675 (232*2.67)+(267*2.67)=1332

Betty + LV30 Lian (2/5) + Waltz + Saint Iris & AW Skill:
(232*3.02)+(267*3.02)=1506.98 (1505; 3.017-3.018 multiplier)
2.5*1.07*1.13=3.02275
2.5*1.07=2.675 > 2.67*1.13=3.0171

This is seriously confusing me. I have to use the full 1.21*1.07=1.2947 for the 300 defence value, but I have to keep only two digits when I multiply 2.5*1.07=2.675, and then three digits for 2.67*1.13=3.0171. Maybe I need to do this with each multiplier with the base defence instead. How bothersome...

Doesn't seem to work perfectly unless Lian's skill at 2/5 isn't actually 1.13x...

Waltz: 285 (1.07x) > 322 (1.13x) > 805 (2.5x)

OK, the problem seems to be in the order. I'll have to test this with other characters to see if it's an ordering issue, or if I need to round up in certain situations. '285*2.5=712.5>713*1.13=805.69' Doesn't make sense that I would round up for B. Iris's skill, but not Lian's. So I'm leaning towards order being the important factor.

Yeah, order seems to be important. Using this order fixes the problem with the Prince's skill and Iris's AW Ability creating a defence of 300 for Betty and 344 for Walz; forgot I was having issues with Waltz being 267*1.21*1.07=345.6849 earlier.

Saint Iris Ability > Prince Skill
Saint Iris Ability > Lian's Skill > Iris AW Skill

Tried this with Nagi, but can't seem to get her stats to work without the dancer.

321*1.07*1.13*2.5*1.6
Real: 343, 387, 968, 1550
Calculated: 343, 387, 967, 1547
321*1.07*1.13*1.6*2.5=1552.4844

1.07x > 1.6x > 1.13x > 2.5x
343 > 548.8 (549?) > 620 > 1550

It's weird how it displays as 548, but is able to become 620. 548*1.13=619.24, so it's difficult to understand how this is happening unless I have to round for just the ability buffs, and can do a straight calculation afterwards with all of the skills without any rounding.

That worked with Betty and Waltz. This is the formula I'll be using in future tests. Glad I don't have to round down for anything other than the ability buffs; makes things simpler.

Base*1.07=Value (Round Down)
Value*1.13*1.6*2.5=Total

Tested with my AW80 4/5 Berenice, and it works correctly.
639*(1.07+1.05)=715.68 > 715
715*1.13*2.5*1.7=3433

So, Skill AW Jelius would roughly have:
611*1.19*3*1.3*2.5=~7089
334*1.14*1.3*2.5=~1237
Combined: ~8326

With Matsuri's 1.05x ability, Jelius would have more defence than he would with a back-up dancer at ~9005 versus ~8742 (with Matsuri).

The main reason for sticking to the first map is that I only have an archer and a witch CC'd. My average team level is ~30 but I've only played for one Monday and both Plats I received as a level reward.

I can do the 50:1 missions, but the first mission is only 20:1 and drops two bouquets and Palas.

Edit: Which seems like a worthwhile trade-off to me.

Noel if you want to easy lving being a gold rarity, and of coz it also came with lower hp.
You will need to put her in party anyway unless you have mia for 10% gold.


Paula on other case aw ability increase dmg to undead.
While this sound like situational, there plenty and tons of undead in the game already in most map.
Of coz the bad part is platinum will eat plat fairy, which always and always on deficit.....
Edit: Paula also was mention before to have highest heal / sec if i remember correctly from petite calculation, well he didn't include liana regen effect in it

Actually, I did include Liana's regen effect in that comparison:
AW Paula (375 hp/s; 70 seconds; 364 range) (Skill AW)
AW Sedis (320 hp/s; 90 seconds; 312 range)
AW Camilla (377 hp/s; 35 seconds; 260 range)
AW B. Iris (367 hp/s; 80 seconds; 260 range) (Skill AW)
AW Saria (433 hp/s; 25 seconds; 275 range)
AW Liana (233 hp/s; 15 seconds; 416 range +80hp/s regeneration) (Skill AW)

What Paula has is a long duration, and healing that is nearly as good as Camilla's along with coverage that makes her superior to Queen Sedis. Liana's regeneration affects everyone on the map, so it does have interesting value if your team is spread out.

The character with the highest HP recovery per second is Shaman Lord Shiho (440), followed by Saint Saria (433), and finally Skill AW Shaman Lord Kikyou (432). The healing potential of these three makes all of the other healers look like junior athletes in comparison. Shaman Lord Kagura lags behind at 380, making her slightly stronger than Camilla and the others, but with a much quicker response time.

Why did I notice? She whacked on the Lich appearing at the bottom on revival map instead of waiting for the Lich to approach!

This just makes Anya even better like an 'super gigantic aoe ninja' with shorter range and attack speed.

Update:
After I don't know for how long and much much longer. Finally, finally got the last cost down on Arisa. (and skill up at the same time)

Note:
A silver level 20 units from gacha:
1) 2x Lv29 Samurai (that gives all class the exp bonus) + 2x Silver Fairy
2) 2x Lv29 Samurai
Results in a level 30 unit. (With no exp waste/over)

This means that you can arguably cc a silver unit to 30 with only 3x silver fairy and bronze from the last map.

Well about this the Laila AW skill work the same way , it's so cool to AOE anything close with 3K+ Attack.

That wasn't a silent buff. It was announced during Reanbell's event. I even bolded it in red since it was a major change to how those nearby AoE melee support units work. It was applied to Berna, Anya, Ling, and Dine for their AW Skills, and Zenobia for her AW Ability.

Enemies Entering Within Range Will Be Attacked even if They Can't be Blocked (AW Skill: Berna, Anya, Ling, and Dine; AW Ability: Zenobia).
Dug it out, I skipped the patch note since I was busy with work at that time. (When going home at 9 pm was normal for the month) Petite did mention it, hence please ignore the above.

But there's not much for me to pay attention in terms of patch note though. I tend to just skim to see if there's anything interesting. (Mechanics change definitely count as one, *face-in-palm*)

It's simultaneously enjoyable and frustrating trying to fit classes either new or unavailable to the Nutaku version into my main team.

Any recommendations on how to approach leveling a team? Nutaku doesn't have nearly the variety so setting up a team is pretty straight-forward. Is it better to not think of having a main team but tailoring each team to the map at hand? For example: Agnes, Minerva, and Marius use similar damage "types" as a witch, archer, and mage, but they can't replace them as core team members. Currently I'm leaning towards focusing on a core of basic silvers (archer, witch, healer, armor etc.) just be able to make some progress with events before throwing too many resources into golds and up.

All these free SCs and premium gacha are making is difficult to keep focused on the basics lol.

Edit: Also, where does Palas rate against Val or Barbasol(Pre-AW)

The way I see it is to have a good general team. It's difficult but not impossible to do most of the event maps with just silvers.

2 Archers, 2 Witches, 1 Gold soldier (you got Katie for doing the tutorials), 1-2 Heavy Armors, 1 Valkyrie, 2 Healers, 2 Mages should be a good start.

Bashira, Katie, and Cloris are units you get for free for doing the tutorial/challenge/certain quest maps.

They also give out Gold Iris, Cypria, and Viera. I'm not a fan of rogues, too random, and haven't figured out a spot for sailors, but Iris is nice.

That setup is how I started Nutaku as well. I guess if it ain't broke don't fix it.

While it's nice to get Bashira, I still think it's pretty ruthless they give her out to new players. Too easy to gimp her by CCing early or speed bump yourself but feeding her all your archer for the CC.

When do resets occur? Is it dailies at 0001 and login 1000 JST?

So I've followed people's advice (thanks people!) and CC'ed Cloris as well as give up on getting the armor/healer early, getting close to grabbing Noel too. Everything has been progressing smoothly then I got Furi from that one desert map, I level'ed her up thinking it was a good idea after seeing her in a lot of videos that primarily use silvers. But woe is me, I thought she'd use an archer for her CC and it turns out she needs another silver vampire hunter. Is there an easy way to get one other than the trading post? I actually have over a 100k gold now for some reason, should I grab one to CC her? Would it be worth it?

My recommendation is find an objective first which 1 you want to do.
ex: if you focus bashira, this should handle the archer problem at begining for castle retake map and it also help you thursday daily, where you can get those magic crystal for more plat / gold unit.

If you focus witch, these can help you clear phalanx 2, where you need those plat fairy to CC your plat unit. Of course its also your main source for affection item.
Witch also help you for Monday daily as 1 of your main source of gold.

Well from what i see the 1st part objective on is these.
Dessert map Chr30 oasis for unit lving.
Phalanx 3 challenge map for plat fairy to CC and affection item (can ignore tuesday / wednesday daily
Magic crystal daily to get plat / gold unit to fill the unit class you don't have. specialy spca is kind of special archer.

I don't really recommend doing main event as these will slowing your time building up your team, unless those event unit are still useful even they are low on CR / skill.... Having at least 1 copy might help cost reduction in future revival event (not farm event)
