There's no friend system. You can play at your own pace; Aegis is a single-player game.
It would be nice to have a friend assist in battle so a random unit from his team appears in a special spot on the map :p

Unfortunately, they made the black units in this game too broken for that to be a feasible feature (i.e. your friend can remove all but one unit from their team, and you can get a unit that may very well solo some maps). Most of those units remove so much of the difficulty and strategy from this game.

Case in point, one person has a black pirate Minerva maxed out earlier for this event, and her regular shots deal 1620 damage (1134 debuffed by Yurina), and then with her skill activated she did like 2764 damage (1929 debuffed) per quickened shot for 25 seconds that can also instant kill non-boss units. I have a feeling that she could almost solo the last map all by herself unless she needs a heavy armour plus healer to hold down the enemy heavy cavalry long enough so she can head-shot the lot of them along with maybe an archer to help thin the regular gargoyles.

Hahahaha, I didn't intend to come to the details.
What u say is right but I would implement it in a more indirect way.

The friend unit would be a "striker" (search kof games for reference), so
- not controllable by the player (cant retreat to avoid death)
- only a limited time on the field
- no skill activation
- needs cost or a wait time to call it
- the spot on where they appear is fixed so it may not be helpful at all depending on your current strategy
- maybe not black units if they are that broken (I dont have any)

You don't have time set to Tokyo, Japan time, so it creates an odd looking refresh timer.
that strange because i have setted it on that timeline, besides it dont even start without setting it

Anyway i have a question: i have a female char at 50% but when i try to give her more presents (clicking the pink button) a message appears, what it says?

She's at max affection. If you want to get her to 100%, you need to class-change her. The exception to this are Princess units and the Dragon Shaman.

You get a sizable stat bonus at 100% (i.e. if a character gains 1 HP per affection, they may gain an extra 20 HP when at 100%).

As for class-changing:
Click "神殿" (Temple), then click the upper red button "クラスチェンジ" (Class Change).

Each class of unit has their own recipes (i.e. a silver archer will require two iron archers, 1 silver archer, and 1 silver fairy to become a sniper). Also, only a unit that has reached lvl 30 or beyond can be class-changed.

It's generally a good idea to level your units to level 50 before you class-change them unless you really want an early priestess or sniper (recommended units for an early class-change are the silver healer Dolka and silver archer Soma, since they're not as good as the silver healer Alisa and the silver archer Daniella who you will want to raise properly to lvl 50). If you want to understand the difference between 30CC~50CC units, find out the character's growth rate. For example, the unit class-changed at lvl 30 who has an attack growth of 1.3 per level will ultimately have 13 attack less than a unit class-changed at lvl 40, and 26 attack less than a unit class-changed at level 50. These numbers might seem small, but the developers balanced the game so that a lvl 50 class-changed unit might be able to receive one more blow from a specific enemy, or slay certain enemies in one less hit.

In any case, I would have thought this kind of information would be in the first post. Then again, they might've just pointed to the Japanese wiki with google translate.

Ultimately, yes. Though, the game isn't so difficult that you'll immediately feel and then regret an early class-change until way later.

Recommended maps to grind:
田園の門 (Rural Gate): Gold and Units
王都に続く道 (Road that Continues to the Royal Capital): Experience

低コストバトル (Low Cost Battle): Silver Fairies and Bouquets
巨大な敵 (Giant Enemy): Gold Fairies
ファランクス2 (Phalanx 2): Platinum Fairies

You're mainly going to visit Rural Gate and Low Cost Battle. There are weekday limited missions that you might also want to try on Monday (for gold) and Friday (for high-tier fairies) when you're stronger. Visit "Road that Continues to the Royal Capital" when you want to level up your Prince quickly, so you can go back to Rural Gate grinding.

EDIT:
Tentatively, it seems there isn't much of a difference between "Dark Wave" and "Decisive Battle Extreme" as far as Yurina drops are concerned (though, I have a feeling someone tilted the data with a huge bad luck spree, since some people have been getting Yurina less than half the time on Extreme).

Dark Wave:
Yurina: 13.85% (4.62% per stamina)
Calliope: 18.46%
Bouquets: 100%
Magical Crystal: 32.31%

Decisive Battle Extreme:
Yurina: 28.79% (4.8% per stamina)
Elaine: 9.09%
Bouquets: 77.27%
Magical Crystal: 51.52%

Just pointing this out in case anyone wants a justification for farming Calliope rather than Elaine. I'm 3 affection away from maxing out my Lord Witch Calliope, so I can try Decisive Battle Extreme for its sacred crystal. Currently farming Dark Wave for the bouquets just in the hopes I'll get another Calliope to feed to my main one who only has a cost reduction of -1, but a skill of 4/5 (She's going to do 500 damage a shot with her skill active).

No, I haven't read anything about the characters having preferences. Farming Low Cost Battle for affection items is the best deal in the long run, since you get so many bouquets that you'll gain between 0-96 affection a day farming that map.

Bouquets: 1-2
Crystals: 2-3
Rubies: 3-4
Diamonds: 4-5*

*I haven't obtained one of these, so I might be wrong on this one.

Guys, do u have an approximation of the rainbow fairy drop rates?

And... they raise the skill up chance when feeding a copy of the unit or just feeding the fairy could level it up?

The data for those maps is premature, and not much is known about how much better the mid-tier is than the low-tier map.

Low-tier:
Silver: 50%
Gold: 25%
Platinum: 15%
Black: 5%
Rainbow: 1%

There's a platinum bandit called Seria, and it's believed that she raises the fairy drops by +3%, which quadruples your chance of getting a rainbow fairy from the low-tier map.

Someone who did both the low and mid tier maps says the low tier is the best for silver, gold, and rainbow fairies, while the mid tier is the best for platinum and black fairies based on their respective odds versus stamina costs.

You'll understand how a rainbow fairy works as soon as you get one. One quirk about them is that they can only be used on units who are at their highest skill set. For example, Witch Adelle can't consume a rainbow fairy because her skill is Strengthen III, but a Lord Witch Adelle can consume a rainbow fairy since her skill is Strengthen IV. I only have one rainbow fairy, so I don't know if you can feed multiples of them at the same time, but you can't mix them with other fairies/units when you use them. The chance that they'll raise a skill is not 100% guaranteed (it's probably the same as feeding them a unit with the same skill).

If possible, I am looking for a beginner tip. Should I use my first duplicate of Soma, the silver archer, to reduce cost of my initial one, or should I keep the duplicate for other purposes?

You'll want to keep the double of Soma and some other silver units like witches/mages especially. There are maps where you'll need multiples of them to do well early on. You'll also need the copy to CC them eventually, so it's just a good idea to always leave a copy of a character in your inventory if you don't know what you're doing yet.

You can expand your inventory with missions at certain completions and with 1 crystal for 4 new spots, so it's not too difficult to do with all these events to hold more characters. I have 78 total slots just from being a f2p. Half my inventory right now are just copies and skill up food waiting on fairies... My army of 8 Calliope's as well.

In a different perspective, the first CC down & skill up 100% guaranteed. Also, all silver unit keep their skills after CC.

Hence, if you know you will get a third (soma-chan) quickly, I don't see any reason to wait. (Especially since 1200 exp is fairly important early on.)

Not sure if "quickly" but u will. Take a look on the completion rewards for the normal missions on the wiki.
